Chapter 151 - An attack from the bushes II.

MC POV

I was deeply fascinated by this new environment.

The natural and force energy here was extremely dense. I even spread my Soul Energy and force sensitivity to better sense the surroundings. Yet, something was curious — it felt like the environment was trying to respond to me directly. In truth, it was as if the very space around me was alive.

That's when I sensed something approaching. I expanded my Observation Haki, using it as a divine sense — a technique I had enhanced long ago, taught by the divine turtle. With it, I detected four enemies.

First, I created an ice wall to ensure some protection for my allies. Then I grabbed a stick, infused it with my internal energy and sword intent.

I sent out a wave of mental energy using my Tuner Voice technique to attract the enemies and enchant them, compelling them to attack me — and it worked well.

I closed my eyes and focused on sensing force, also deactivating my Haki to train another way.

Suddenly, from a nearby bush, an enemy leapt. In an instant, it appeared above me, its claws ready to pierce through. Wind energy surged around my feet. Using the martial art technique Wind and Cloud, I dodged a few meters away.

Without slowing, I swung my sword, delivering four direct strikes to its side. Empowered by my body's energy and the upgrades I had made to my weapon, the creature was launched into the air and crashed violently into a tree.

From an outsider's perspective, they could finally see the enemy clearly.

It stood over 2 meters tall and 3 to 4 meters wide, its body covered in reptilian scales, with claws sharp enough to pierce anything and teeth that looked capable of tearing through any flesh.

Its eyes radiated a murderous aura as it stared at me violently, yet also with caution and wariness.

Another creature moved toward me from a different direction. I spun gracefully to the side and, just as it landed, I struck its belly with an open palm.

It wasn't purely a physical attack — the hidden energy of force and wind blasted it away.

The remaining two seemed to coordinate and attacked me simultaneously. My eyes stayed shut as the wind energy subtly increased. My fist and sword were ready.

I kept moving between their attacks, dodging and striking continuously, training my sensitivity to force and refining my reactions.

A few minutes later, I exhaled.

"Alright. Let's finish this," I said, opening my eyes. In an instant, my mental power surged.

My Observation Haki spread out as my eyes glowed with intense power. The enemies sensed the danger and grew more alert, but two of them still lunged at me.

I raised my hands toward them — and their bodies froze mid-air.

Realizing something was wrong, they tried to resist and flee, but were unable to.

Without another word, I slammed them against the trees with force. Then pulled them back and smashed them repeatedly into the ground and trunks, hitting them with overwhelming strength.

The remaining two also charged at me — but this time, I decided to end it.

My mental energy covered the entire area.

A power of dominance, authority, and submission spread out, laced with divine energy and the aura of a mighty beast.

"Submit."

Crushed by the sheer pressure, the raptors froze, gazing at me with respect and submission.

They were predators — and predators respect strength. Overwhelmed by the presence of a divine beast and an aura of pure domination, they became incapable of movement.

Once I confirmed their complete submission, I withdrew the mental energy.

Then, I raised my hand again. This time, my Soul Energy was consumed.

I connected with the force and energy of the universe, beginning to communicate with them.

It wasn't full communication, but I was able to glean some information — including that there were other beings similar to us in this environment. That meant there were likely humanoids here.

I turned my hand, signaling for them to stay away from this area and avoid attacking our group.

"Leave," I commanded, and a soft energy surrounded their bodies and minds, convincing them to go.

After this, I approached the ice wall and snapped my fingers.

It turned into snowflakes and disappeared as quickly as it had formed.

My scarlet bees had long been flying, gathering information.

I moved deeper into the area.

...

"So, they're dinosaurs?"

Coulson asked me, intrigued. Though we had received images before, this was his first time seeing them in person.

I knew he — like the others — was curious about my powers and capabilities.

"I'd say yes. At least they appear to be, and they are living beings. So the previous images were accurate. As for how similar they are to the ones from the past, you'll have to gather that data yourselves."

"More dinosaurs will likely appear."

He nodded, but I continued.

"I have more information. I'm not yet sure how, or what kind of beings they are, or whether they'll be friendly, but it seems there are humanoid beings here."

I made it clear, so they wouldn't ask questions. The message was understood — no one said anything else.

I noticed an eager gleam in Simmons' eyes. From what I know, she specializes in biological and anthropological studies, which would naturally make her excited in a place like this.

After all, living beings from the past, and possible encounters with other cultures or civilizations — human or not — were no small matter.

"Alright. Continue your investigations and stay alert. Remember, this mission has a deadline of 15 days."

That was the time I promised the SHIELD Director. By then, they should have figured out a solution for the magnetic energy and arranged proper safety protocols for their research. I also need to investigate this world further.

That's why my bees are already doing their job.

...

After that conversation, I walked into the lab and heard an interesting discussion.

"But it doesn't look like a mutant power. At least that ice wall — it appeared too quickly, and a blue magic circle formed on the ground before the wall. Must be magic."

"Magic is nonsense. Just superstition."

"Sure. It's just science we don't understand."

Listening to Skye, Simmons, and Fitz talk, I smiled.

"I both agree and disagree. It's a field of knowledge — one you don't yet understand. Maybe due to lack of knowledge, or lack of ability, or even talent. Many factors."

"Just because you understand how the tyrant and rebel Magneto uses his powers doesn't mean you can replicate them."

Hearing my voice, they looked surprised and embarrassed.

But Skye recovered quickly and stood in front of me, stars in her eyes.

"So… it is magic?"

"Who knows," I replied vaguely.

In truth, the ice wall was my Ice-Make magic — though it followed different laws from the Earth's sorcerers. It was more aligned with beings that naturally possess magical or special energies, like the Asgardians.

But I also used abilities that weren't magical — like my physical power over wind sound and others tied to my Soul and Mental Energy.

We continued talking about various topics. Then some footsteps caught my attention.

I saw Ward coming from one side and May standing outside — both seemed curious about me.

I looked at him with a smile.

"Speak."

He stared and asked,

"Can we train?"

"Of course."

We headed to the Bus' garage area, which had enough space for a sparring session.

May stood by as the referee.

"Begin."

As soon as she said it, he spun low and tried to sweep me.

I dodged easily. He followed up with punches, kicks, and knee strikes.

My body moved using Goku's martial art and Madara's taijutsu.

I caught his elbow and, with a swift motion, threw him aside.

"Your moves are solid. They mix SHIELD's combat training with another style — but it's still primitive."

"You're a level 6 agent. Look up the combat style in file X21. It should help."

My words surprised both him and May, who looked at me differently.

SHIELD's combat, stealth, and espionage techniques are ranked in levels and are not public — only academy students or agents of certain ranks can access them.

As for me… I didn't have official access, but I learned and memorized them thanks to my father.

Though I don't use them much, since I already have powerful and complete martial arts, I still picked up some useful things.

"I understand…"

He nodded and continued the sparring.

We trained for quite a while, until his body was worn out and sore.

He lay on the floor, exhausted.

I stretched, relaxing my muscles, while silently casting a cleaning spell on myself — no wand.

"Good fight. I'll be watching the perimeter. If you need me, let me know. Apparate."

With that, everyone felt a slight pull as I vanished from the plane.

They stared at the spot, speechless.

One of my bees recorded their reactions — focusing on Skye, May, and Ward.

I was still investigating those three.

...

Outside, I climbed a tall tree and began to meditate.

My mental and soul energy flowed, resonating with the force.

I reconnected with the energy of strength and the world itself.

Around me, leaves and dust stirred under the pressure of mental power and raw force.

...

Four days later...

I launched a quick kick, sending my opponent flying.

"You definitely have some of the best combat instincts I've seen, May."

It was a genuine compliment. For an ordinary human, her instincts were outstanding, as was her combat knowledge.

Only martial artists from mystical lands like Kunlun, Daredevil, and two other SHIELD agents I'd met in the past were on her level.

Not to mention, Kunlun fighters weren't fully human — they were influenced by Qi.

"Thanks… I suppose," she replied in her calm, neutral tone.

After my fight with Ward, she occasionally came to request training sessions.

We often sparred for a while. Her ability to grow stronger and refine her skills impressed me.

Ward also returned now and then, but his pride clearly limited how often he came.

After one of our sessions, we talked a bit. She wasn't very talkative, but it helped us grow closer.

Then, I frowned, receiving a spiritual alert from one of my bees.

May seemed to notice — somehow — even though I still wore my mask and was surrounded by mist.

"What is it?"

"Looks like some interesting beings are approaching the base."

"Beings? More dinosaurs?"

I didn't reply immediately. Instead, I watched the bees' footage.

"No… something more interesting."

"Tell Coulson to prepare an interrogation room — and alert the others."

She nodded. I used Apparate and vanished — reappearing midair above the forest.

My eyes locked on several points below.
