I kept observing the scenery—it fascinated me. It was like a Jurassic Park or a journey into the past, but in a different, unique way.
There were videos, particularly ones with stunning scenes—dinosaurs, plants, and animals that seemed long extinct. But in every one of them, the cameras stopped unexpectedly at some point.
The footage truly amazed me, and my sense of curiosity and exploration flared up. Still, I tried to appear calm.
"Well, then? What is this, and why do you want to go there?"
I saw Nick tap the table and open his mouth a few seconds later.
"There are a few reasons. First, as you already know, SHIELD has been showing strange signs, making it hard to trust internal members. However, trusting you—despite being an outsider—isn't difficult.
Second, you're a powerful asset and much easier to mobilize without drawing attention. After all, you're not directly affiliated or officially registered in SHIELD's database."
I paused and waited. Those reasons made sense, but surely there were other alternatives. With SHIELD's technology, handling dangerous creatures shouldn't be a problem.
"Well, you might imagine that this should still be within my capabilities. But as you saw from the camera footage, there's some sort of energy barrier that seems to block technology. It's similar to a magnetic field."
I nodded in understanding. Without technology, he'd have fewer "resources" to mobilize—and even those might be hard to deploy. It would also make the mission much more dangerous. But that wouldn't be the case if I were there.
"I see. Alright, then—you'll owe me a favor. Now give me the data."
He frowned at the mention of a favor but simply nodded and continued speaking.
"Given the uniqueness of the mission, the teams will be small—one Quinjet with extra gear and security, and a special team. They use a refined transport that I think you'll like. I personally call the aircraft 'The Bus.'
It's a team led by my friend Coulson—you probably remember him. This group was created to operate discreetly and carry out certain tasks for me, considering the current tension within the organization."
That didn't bother me, so I asked another question.
"Did you give it a name already?"
"Yes, for now we're calling it the Savage Land."
I nodded. The name was pretty convincing.
And above me, I saw my mission screen:
...
Mission: Explore the Savage Land
Objective:
– Help explore the vast and mysterious Savage Land beneath the Arctic.
– If there are intelligent beings, establish a positive relationship with a leader.
Rewards:
– Staff (How to Train Your Dragon)
– Venusaur (Pokémon)
Description: A mysterious space has been found beneath the Arctic. Assist and protect SHIELD members as they uncover the secrets of this environment. We're about to live a true Jurassic Park experience.

Two Days Later
I entered a large facility a bit outside New York. My divine power was activated, and I wore my combat suit.
The interior resembled a massive airport.
In front of me, I saw a medium-sized Quinjet with a few heavily armed individuals boarding. On the other side was what I assumed was "The Bus"—a massive black aircraft, extremely large, clearly advanced in technology and visibly luxurious.
I looked at it with fascination—even for someone like me, who recently received a Martian ship and owns a base filled with unique technology and powerful magic, it was a remarkable sight.
I turned to the man next to me.
"Quite the aircraft, Mr. Coulson."
I smiled at the seemingly ordinary man who, for some reason, gave me the feeling of an unusual destiny.
"I'm glad you like it, Mr. Immortal. I believe you'll also appreciate the interior."
I smiled behind the mask.
"Tell me about your team."
He handed me a tablet while introducing his team.
"The current team consists of four highly trained SHIELD agents—two scientists, one combat specialist, and a pilot. We also have an outsider who's our hacking and intel expert."
"Our scientists are Fitz and Simmons—brilliant minds with high potential from SHIELD Academy.
The Level 6 combat agent is Ward—a skilled marksman, fluent in many languages, and highly trained in hand-to-hand combat.
Our pilot is Level 6 Agent Melinda May.
And the hacker from the Rising Tide—Skye.
And of course, I'm the team leader and support—Phil Coulson, Level 7 Agent."
I listened as I browsed through their profiles.
The achievements of Fitz and Simmons caught my attention—they truly had the potential to advance Earth's science by leaps and bounds.
The combat agent and the pilot didn't impress me as much, though I noticed some of May's data seemed deliberately hidden.
And then there was Skye.
"Rising Tide is a hacker group that's grown in recent years—supporting mutant causes and leaking supposed government and global secrets. I know they've helped many institutions and forces, which is part of why they've survived."
"Even so, they're often labeled as chaotic and rebellious rather than genuinely helpful. So, why have a member of that group on your team?"
I asked, eyeing him with curiosity. I had no intention of interfering—it didn't matter to me, since my AI and arthropod companion were both powerful hackers themselves. Still, I was curious—this did seem irregular.
Coulson paused for a moment and then spoke calmly.
"I believe in my vision—and in giving people chances. Though she's not officially with SHIELD, I see her potential and how she can support our team. Despite some variables, she's proven to be an asset."
I didn't comment further. I boarded the aircraft and noticed several scientists and guards, but my eyes focused on the core team.
Their gazes varied. May seemed calm, as if she already knew something.
Ward appeared suspicious and alert—it was subtle, but with my divine sight and Haki perception, I picked up on it. I assumed it was tied to his combat instincts.
Then I saw a young woman in a hoodie—Skye. But as I looked at her, I narrowed my eyes.
Her aura wasn't fully human... very faint, but there. Somehow, it reminded me of that teleporter...
Still, it was so subtle I decided not to focus on it—might've been a false impression.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all."
My voice came out calm as I greeted the team.
I noticed heightened curiosity in Skye's, Fitz's, and Simmons' eyes.
Everyone greeted me in return.
"What would you like to see first? We depart in 10 minutes."
"I'd like to see the lab."
Coulson agreed and called Fitz and Simmons.
Entering the lab, I saw various technological tools and biological materials.
"Hmmm… may I ask—what exactly is that mist? None of our sensors can detect anything about it."
Fitz asked. I assumed the sensors were linked to the lab, or maybe it was just curiosity.
"It's one of my unique abilities. Hard to explain, but you could say it's a manifestation of one of the powerful energies I wield."
"What kind of energy? How can you use it? Does it have limitations? What's its origin?"
His voice came with a flurry of questions—and another voice chimed in.
"I'm also curious. What's your body like? How does your DNA and biology differ from a normal human? Are you like a mutant?"
I was speechless for a second—then secretly used my Tuner Voice.
"Curiosity should have limits—and some decorum. Thank you for the lab tour."
My voice slowed their reactions, and I headed to the upper floor, leaving them behind.
I sat on a soft chair and conjured a green apple Italian soda in a glass cup.
In front of me stood Skye.
"A pleasure to see you, Ms. Skye. How's Rising Tide these days?"
She was surprised by my voice but answered, eyeing the drink that materialized from thin air.
"I'm no longer directly involved with them."
"Do you have any family?"
When I asked that, I saw her body tense. She didn't respond—but a voice to the side did.
"Skye's an orphan."
I turned and saw Ward entering.
"They say you're unusually strong and might be able to protect us where we're going. I hope that's true—I couldn't find anything about you in SHIELD's info base."
I looked at him, calm but direct.
"I have no intention of stealing your job, Ward. I'm only acting temporarily.
As for the lack of data—maybe your clearance is too low? Or you're not authorized.
As an agent, you should know not all information is freely available on the system."
My words seemed to strike a nerve, but I didn't care. I took another sip of soda and kept chatting with Skye out of curiosity—subtly trying to investigate her.
Soon, May arrived and announced that the plane would take off.
.....
We flew for several hours—I bonded with a few team members, but for some reason, I didn't want to get too close to Ward.
Something about him felt... off.
The plane landed slowly at a makeshift base in the Arctic.
There, I spotted a mysterious cave.
As the aircraft touched down, everyone began disembarking and gathering with the team stationed at the temporary base.
Secretly, I released a few scarlet bees to scout the area.
And my Haki spread.
Soon, I felt it clash against some kind of energy barrier—one that seemed to isolate the space within.
Intrigued, I focused my gaze in that direction.
My mental and internal energy concentrated in my eyes.
They glowed a bright bluish hue—and pierced through several meters, letting me glimpse the energy wall and what lay beyond.
With wonder in my eyes, my interest only deepened.
Note: Agents of shield!!! I love this series. The events and details will be different, as there were some things that wouldn't make sense to fit in as in the series, but some of the members will be present. The explanation of their formation before the original events was also brought up due to Furry suspecting some force or something unusual within his organization (we know very well what it must be).
