The man had the same black hair—only longer, reaching down to his waist—and blue eyes that mirrored Zed's.
"You missed them?" he said, clearly not buying Zed's excuse. His gaze flicked toward the floating DRIO. "Or were you just ignoring me while playing around with your latest stupid stunt?"
"It's called a hobby," Zed replied dryly. "Oh wait—should I explain what a hobby means since—"
"Stop it." The man cut him off sharply and took a seat on the couch in front of him.
Zed exhaled slowly and paused his dish-cleaning.
Then, staring directly into his father's eyes, his voice emotionless, he asked,
"Why are you here?"
"I'm your father. I don't think I need a reason to visit my own son." His eyes shifted back to the DRIO. "But seeing you waste your time with this… unproductive, disgraceful activity for the past year—well, I figured it was time for a sudden visit rather than sending the message."
Zed listened silently, then let out a low chuckle.
