Chapter 163: The Power Of Purification
"I thought Hiruzen is a pervert who use his power to spying a woman, at least he still had a bottom line" said Setsuna.
"Pervert is correct, but spying a woman is not because he is not a Jiraiya" replied the System.
"Jiraiya" muttered Setsuna, this name he had long forgotten. "Yes, only him will do that disgusting thing"
"Talk about a reward, what is the purification?" asked Setsuna.
"It is to purify something for example you purify the body that has been poisoned or you can purify the amaterasu flame" replied the System.
"What? Purify the flame" said Setsuna who heard that amaterasu could be purify.
"Correct, after purifying the flame it no longer have the properties that can burn until it become ashes" replied the system.
"What do you mean?" asked Setsuna.
"There is sinister dark chakra that kept Amaterasu burn and it couldn't been distinguished even by the water, but by using purification this sinister dark chakra will be purify and ordinary water can distinguished the fire" said the System
"Dark Chakra? Do you mean Yin Chakra" asked Setsuna.
"Correct, Yin chakra is more darker and it can be called dark Chakra while Yang can be called white chakra" said the System.
---Kaguya Clan---
After the failed attempt by Mizukage Gengetsu Hozuki to provoke a war between two villages, the atmosphere in Kirigakure didn't calm down; instead, it worsened.
It was all due to one clan that couldn't stay in one place or live peacefully with others.
"Mizukage-sama, the Kaguya Clan members have started disturbing civilians again," reported the Anbu.
"Any casualties?" Gengetsu asked in a frustrated voice.
"Eleven people are lightly wounded, but none are in critical condition," the Anbu replied.
"It seems I can no longer use soft methods with them," Gengetsu muttered.
The incident where the Kaguya Clan cut off a civilian's hand was still fresh in his mind. He had been trying to figure out why the Kaguya Clan was so intent on causing trouble in the village.
After secretly investigating them, Gengetsu learned that the Kaguya Clan was the most unsuitable clan in Kirigakure. They were bloodthirsty and loved war. Living in peace made them anxious, and they needed to release that tension by provoking others.
"Call Kunori here," Gengetsu ordered.
Five minutes later, Kunori, the chief who oversaw missions, arrived. Most of the mission drafts were his responsibility.
"Mizukage-sama," Kunori greeted him.
"Kunori, I have a mission for you, and it's S-rank. Only you should know about this," Gengetsu said.
Hearing this, Kunori's expression became serious.
"You're aware of the Kaguya Clan incidents, right?" asked the Mizukage.
"Yes, Mizukage-sama," Kunori replied, even as the mission overseer, he was well aware of the trouble the Kaguya Clan caused.
"Good. From now on, assign those Kaguya Clan shinobi to highly dangerous missions," Gengetsu commanded.
Kunori's mouth almost dropped in shock.
"Yes, you heard me correctly. Especially those troublemakers in the Kaguya Clan—give them the most dangerous jobs," the Mizukage repeated.
"May I ask why we need to give them such dangerous missions?" asked Kunori.
"The Kaguya Clan members can't control their kekkei genkai. Essentially, they can't live in peace. When they're at peace, they create chaos. To manage their bloodlust, we need to channel it into missions," explained Gengetsu.
"I understand. But does this include the newly graduated children?" Kunori asked.
"No," the Mizukage said. "The children don't show the same bloodlust. I've noticed that the stronger the Kaguya shinobi, the harder it is to control their bloodlust. Focus on the jonin. If a chunin acts the same way, assign them as well, but leave the genin alone."
"Understood, Mizukage-sama," Kunori replied before leaving the room.
Compared to the original timeline, this decision by the Second Mizukage directly saved Kirigakure from civil war. The elders, who always whispered about rebellion, eventually died after being sent on dangerous missions.
One by one, the elite members of the Kaguya Clan disappeared during missions. All that remained were genin and women, too weak to cause further trouble.
---Madara---
It had been several years, yet there was still no progress with the Rinnegan. His eyes remained the same despite having injected Hashirama's cells into his body.
"Am I using the wrong method?" Madara muttered to himself, gazing at the vast forest he had created in the secluded area.
Bored from years of waiting, he had decided to train himself. Now in his middle age, patience was wearing thin. The thought that the Rinnegan might only awaken when he became much older plagued him. The uncertainty either he will succed or not gnawed at him, so he used his energy to focus on training.
"Deep Forest Emergence," Madara called out as he launched one of Hashirama's signature jutsus.
The plants grew rapidly, expanding into towering trees and foliage that sprawled across the land.
"It looks just like Hashirama's jutsu," Madara commented before chuckling at the scene of destruction left in its wake.
Though he was pleased with his new abilities, he knew that if Hashirama were still alive, he wouldn't want to face him using Hashirama own powers. It would be humiliating to fight Hashirama with Hashirama's jutsu. What Madara truly desired was to awaken the Rinnegan.
"Damn it! How long must I wait for the Rinnegan to bloom?" he growled in frustration.
Madara tried meditating to calm his mind, but after a while, he decided to head to Naka Shrine in search of more clues.
--- Black Zetsu ---
Black Zetsu had ceased all his manipulations of the shinobi world, his sole focus now on monitoring Madara. He needed to ensure that he was present when Madara's eyes finally activated.
It had been years, and Black Zetsu, who had waited for centuries, was growing impatient too and he hoped the Rinnegan will be activated as soon as possible.
Suddenly, he noticed Madara halt his training and meditate for a while before abruptly dashing toward the direction of Konoha.
"Impossible! Is he planning to attack Konoha in this state?" Black Zetsu muttered, panic rising. He couldn't afford to lose Madara now. In a century, only Madara had managed to inject Asura's chakra into his own body.
Following Madara, Black Zetsu soon realized that he wasn't heading to Konoha for battle, but rather to Naka Shrine.
'Is he searching for a clue?' thought Black Zetsu.
Seeing this, Black Zetsu decided to deceive Madara once more. Rushing ahead, he arrived at Naka Shrine before Madara and rewrote the inscription on the sacred stone tablet.
'To awaken the Rinnegan, it may take a significant amount of time. Be patient and wait until it blooms.'
Black Zetsu etched these words into the stone and then concealed himself within the shadows of the shrine.
Ten minutes later, Madara arrived. Activating his Mangekyo Sharingan, he gazed at the tablet and noticed the newly revealed words.
Anger flickered across his face, but then he muttered to himself, "Alright, for the sake of peace, I will wait."
