Chapter 80 - Chapter 79

10/10 2:14 (Autumn, Day, Hidden Dungeon)

The one that created and altered various Dungeon stood there, multiple screens floating before them, each showing a different Dungeon, Party or even specific Monsters, more specifically their biological Data for them to research.

Still the screen that they payed the most attention to was the one that replayed the very recent attack, if so it could be defined as, that destroyed their experimental island, trying to learn as much about it as they possibly could.

"I see, this is not simply destroying matter but even Energy, time and space itself. I didn't think this could be possible at all but after all this is a different World with the presence of Magic and other similar impossibilities." They noted to themselves before sighing, soon understanding that further analysis was pointless right now as they recognized that they did not have enough data to analyze the properties of the attack properly.

Their attention moved back towards another group of screens, the ones that showed the three Dragonoids that worshiped the now dead Starving Drake, currently residing each within a capsule of a glass-like material filled with a liquid solution of the formless one's own creation, their body underdoing a very sci-fi inspired medical procedure.

They smiled satisfied, noting how the three were gradually adapting to the changes in their body and even if the Drake died before it could increase in Rank and in so doing Evolving in a unique speciment, they were still able to use its data, combined with their analysis of the Werewolf Cultivator, the Poison Cultivator that was currently thinking he was decieving them and especially the Being that the poisoner was currently creating.

The three Persons were being slowly ripped apart only to then be pulled back together, Vital Energy, Mana and Qi slowly being absorbed not only by their body but also by their Soul, their Spirit Roots slowly growing within them enough for them to Cultivate properly.

The Qi was not the Neutral Qi that the black-haired Werewolf was taught how to use, sure, but it was not the Fake-Qi she looked down upon but merely Attuned Qi like that Poison Cultivator that used Poison Qi instead of Neutral one; the Dragonoids similarly were not being showered with Neutral Qi or even Poison Qi but instead were being filled with Miasma Qi, a variant similar to Poison Qi but more specialized towards studying and twisting other life forms.

Their attention moved on from the three Dragonoids, turning towards the crystal coffin currently holding the Ancestor, smiling wide as thanks to their own new use of Miasma Qi they were able to restart their analysis that until then was stuck, progressing at a snail pace, sure, but still progressing now.

Another screen appeared floating before them, showing the data of various Vampiric Beings that died within one of their Dungeons to speed up her analysis of the Number 10, part of them grieving how they were unable to kill that anomalous, silver-haired, red-eyed one even with the resources burned and the risks involved to Manifest that Grudge Elemental, before discarding their emotional investment in that matter.

After all, they strongly doubted that as anomalous as the young woman was, her data would be that revolutionary for their research on the highest Level of Vampiric Existences.

10/11 2:49 (Autumn, Day, Midrar)

The actual above mentioned highest Level of Vampiric Existence, the same white-haired, red-eyed one that the Dungeon Lord just half-dismissed in their mind was currently facing off against the Human that for some reason knew how she fought, a sharp smile resting upon her lips, her mind guessing that he Awakened his own Unique Skill and guessing it to be either time- or space-based.

After all either of the two most likely option would explain how her supposed hunter knew her location, how she fought and also how he moved from high in the sky to right before her without causing any disturbance in the air, disturbance that she would have felt if his movement was based upon speed.

While her mind was calculating and analyzing the way that her opponent did and could attack, her shadow writhed briefly for an instant before returning to normality, her eyes narrowing for an instant as an immediate beam of Vital Mana exploded forward towards the Human, intent on studying the way he would react to her attack.

Said blue-eyed one did not hesitate, acting before she even could finish her attack, dashing left and while still mid-movement releasing a wave of Lightning-Attribute Mana crossing the distance towards the Lunarian as a distraction.

Luna watched the lightning trying to strike her down, noting their nature as a Spell Casted with either Lightning-Attribute Druidry or the Spiritual Magic-equivalent, her body being shielded by a dense layer of Vital Mana that impaled itself on the soil, grounding it at once, thing only possible because it was natural lightning.

An harsh impact landed on her back, her eyes immediately moving towards the place where the Human previously was, confirming that he vanished into nothing as a spike of Black Blood erupted from her shadow, trying to skewer the Human in place but failing as he dashed right briefly before stopping, dodging the burst of Vital Mana that would have struck him otherwise.

The blonde moved back towards her, fists clad in Lightning-Attribute Affinity Mana as he rained down blow after blow to her body, blows that while being perfectly deflected to the point that none landed on her, still impacts struck her by slipping her senses completely.

Luna calmly analyzed, her interest peaked as she memorized all the place her enemy struck, both on her body and the air around her, judging the force of the strikes and even letting herself be hit just to confirm that the strength of the sudden blows was more or less the same as that belonging to the body before her.

From defense she moved to offense immediately, ignoring the punches to land her own attack on her opponent, only for him to anticipate her with a lightning-infused kick to one of her knees, simultaneusly launching himself away from her body before her savage swing could smash his shoulder apart.

Before he could even land, the Human twisted in mid-air, dodging a Vital Mana spear before responding with his own lightning stake, a very appropriate weapon if used while hunting a Vampiric Being in his own opinion.

Naturally the Lunarian dodged the spear but she was unable to dodge the force of an impact coming from what looked to be nothing at all, causing her to immediately blast the area around her with a sharp Burst of Energy, confirming that the blows were not caused by an invisible opponent once her Energy found no resistance at all.

Her white hair moved at once as she nodded to herself, confronting the force of the invisible blows with the force of the Human before her and leaving her certain that the Human was the one responsable for it.

'Time or space…' She thought to herself before deciding on the first one of the two as the most probable and continuing her analysis with it as the hypothesis. 'Not super-speed or super-acceleration, too little damage to the environment to be caused by them and even by accessing my memories stored within the Moon, I cannot see any extra trace of his presence or blurs in his movements.'

Luna swung her hand carelessly, a great mass of Black Blood forming above her head before falling down in a rain of swords to try and impale him in place, her eyes stuck to his figure and making sure to maintain his exact position in mind, trying to brute force her way to the solution.

As her swords harried the Human with ever increasing precision as she was quickly growing accustomed to the pattern he tended to move in, the errors that were but natural for those that still refused to discard their own imperfections entirely, like breathing, depending mostly on their five physical senses and the present even if small time lapse between thought and action, his movement being read and predicted with ever increasing accuracy.

The blades impaled on the ground ripped themselves up from the ground, turning towards and then homing in after the Human, forcing him to move constantly or be skewered and in so doing providing more data to speed up Luna's analysis even further, a little mass of Black Blood from each having separated and drilled their way beneath the ground.

Mark, the Human that attempted to ambush the Lunarian, was slowly starting to breathe heavier because of needing to run continuisly, unwilling to risk having her blood enter his own body, his mind calculating the time until his plan could move to the next phase, his lips twisted in a focused frown before his eyes widened greatly as the earth before him exploded upwards.

From the earth beneath his feet, long black tendrils, almost similar to roots, erupted to impale him in place, the only way to dodge the swords that were following him now being blocked by the Lunarian's new attack, assuring for him to be struck down.

The watchful gaze of the Lunarian saw his eyes widening in surprise at the sudden attack, well aware that he had no way to escape and understanding well that he would not think about using his Lightning-Attribute Magic to escape it if surprised enough as his use of Magic was not like her Mafel's, the core of the way she fought, and neither like her Amber's, a central part of the way she fought, instead being more like her Sabel's, a way to enhance their attacks or to launch simple ones.

It was only natural as someone can only grow so much in a certain amount of time, depending on both talent and luck, and while her opponent was very experienced when it comes to using his Energies and fighting itself, his Skills and body both were lagging behind and he was not talented enough for them to grow to match the difference between the two.

The instant before her blows could connect with him, he vanished completely, leaving behind only empty air and her attacks colliding in mid-air, Luna's lips rising slightly as she casually turned around to meet the scowling face of the Human.

"Teleportation, eh? Good to know." She affirmed calmly and aloud, intent on letting him know before continuing on in her thoughts alone, no trace of any extra emotion present. 'Is that what you wanted me to believe? How naive. This was not teleportation, it was something like stopping time.'

'Yet stopping time in its entirety is not possible, and the Selves that I left far away did not feel any difference despite the distance and such a large distance is way too much considering the amount of power he has. A targetted effect then, towards me to effect my other Selves? No, as otherwise my Mates would have felt it and they felt nothing much. An effect Targetting only himself then.' She figured out, the Black Blood left behind flowing back to within her shadow.

"I hate you." Mark said outloud, his face twisting in an hateful sneer as he understood at once from his experience fighting her that he was figured out.
