Elodie said, "I was friends with his mother, so no wonder those two grew up together.
And after the Battle of Galahad… when he returned home, a terrible accident happened. It took away the last bit of humanity he had left—his parents, and the ones he loved."
Licht said, "Don't worry. He'll come back to us."
Then Elodie smiled and said, "Here, Licht—your gifts."
Licht said, "Thanks, Mom. Two for me?"
Elodie replied, "No, one is from me, and the other is from your best friend."
Licht laughed, "Good to see that dumbass hasn't forgotten."
Meanwhile, after the date, Lucifer and Alysa were having dinner when Lucifer received another call.
Lucifer answered, "Go for Lucifer."
On the other end, a woman said, "Lucifer, come here quickly!"
Lucifer replied, "Aunty, I'm a bit busy at the moment."
The woman pleaded, "Lucifer, please come to the party. You're your best friend's only close friend, and he'll be very sad without you on his birthday."
Lucifer sighed and said, "Okay, give me a minute. I'll be there in five."
The woman responded, "Hurry—but not too fast. We need about 10 minutes."
Lucifer turned to Alysa. "Do you have time for one more round of shopping? I need formal clothes—a shirt, trousers, and a nice watch."
In about three minutes, they had Lucifer changed out of his uniform.
Lucifer said, "Okay, thanks. Let's go."
He pulled out his communicator. "Elizabeth, where are you? Teleport me to Licht's house."
Elizabeth replied, "Understood, Captain."
Lucifer then appeared in the living room of Licht's house.
Elodie said, "So you're finally here—but why are you here before the birthday boy's mom is even ready?"
She turned to Licht and said, "How's your second surprise gift—your friend, Lucifer?"
Lucifer grinned and said, "Yo, dumbass."
Just then, Alysa walked in from another room.
Lucifer blinked. "Wait—how did you get here?"
Alysa smirked. "Same way you did. Why do you think I kept going to the washroom? I was sneaking out to help with the decorations."
Lucifer chuckled. "Damn."
Elodie stepped forward and said, "Listen here—today isn't just your best friend's birthday. We called you here to celebrate yours too."
Lucifer replied softly, "Thanks, but that's not really necessary..."
Elodie cut him off, pulled his ear, and yelled, "Forget the 'no thanks' and enjoy tonight!"
She smiled warmly and added, "It's May 13—so happy birthday to you two, I guess."
