Keira Leaf's face paled slightly at his counter-question, while Joshua Sulliven turned and left the bedroom.
Keira sat on the bedside, somewhat dazed, as tears fell one by one onto the floor.

Angry at her for speaking of him like that, angry at her for avoiding him, angry at her for not listening to him, angry at her for intentionally coming back so late...
Keira got up and walked to the bathroom, took a shower, and upon coming out, she saw Joshua already lying in the bed.
This comforted her a little.
She had thought that he would sleep outside tonight.
After drying her hair, Keira tiptoed onto the bed.
With Joshua turning his back to her, she snuggled up to him from behind, wrapping her arms around his waist and sliding her small hand up and down his tight waist and abdomen.
But Joshua remained unresponsive, seemingly determined to stay silent until the end.
