The group now headed towards the animal shelter, which was built on one of the parks.
Most of them were cats and dogs, for some reason. It was really a mystery for a while until the animal experts (they built their own group without Althea having to formalize it) studied hard for the past couple of months.
Before, they knew that mixed breeds had higher chances of survival than pure breeds, simply because their genes were more varied than pure breeds, which had quite a bit of inbreeding involved.
After studying the ones they had, the experts came up with a theory.
The first one was regarding large animals like elephants, giraffes, hippos, and so on. At first, they just thought that if some of those transferred, they might've just been targeted by monsters here due to their sizes.
However, now that they had more understanding about how their bodies changed even back in Terran, they came to realize it must've something to do with aether too.
