Looking at the sweet couple, Harvey smiled brighter. As long as his granddaughter was happy, he, as the grandfather, would be happy as well.
Three of them were eating and chit-chatting. Somehow they talked about the chess game they had played last time. Finally, Harvey caught the chance to complain as he said, "If you hadn't cheated that time, you wouldn't have won at all!"
"No, I didn't," Jackson replied quickly and confidently.
"I said yes and that means yes. I have been playing chess for so many years. I can tell if someone is cheating." Harvey was acting like a stubborn child and continued to argue with Jackson.
Nidia quickly said something to smooth things over. "Then why don't you both play a game later after dinner?"
Both of them agreed. Harvey said confidently, "I'll say it upfront. If you lose or cheat later, Nidia will stay here tonight, and you'll go back alone."
