The Green Goblin was undoubtedly pure evil—always scheming to go against the good guys.
No matter what the heroes did, he'd sabotage it or take the opposite side. Like now, Spider-Man didn't want to kill him, so he deliberately provoked him, trying to force him into a kill shot. Even if it meant dying, he didn't care.
But at this point, Peter had already restrained his killing intent. He caught the vial of serum thrown by Andrew, lunged forward, and plunged it hard into the Goblin's neck—finally putting an end to this villain.
Norman Osborn's real self resurfaced. He collapsed to the ground, looking around in confusion and sorrow. "What have I done…?"
But no one had time for him anymore. Peter and Andrew rushed to check on Tobey's injuries. Tobey, calm and collected, said he was fine. A stab in the back and a hit to the kidneys? Not the first time.
The three Spider-Men had worked together flawlessly to subdue the villains. But the crisis wasn't over—the cracks in the sky were spreading, growing larger by the second!
From those wounds in the sky poured out a mesmerizing purple glow, and strange figures were becoming solid—no doubt about it, if they crossed over completely, it would be a disaster.
Peter gave a quick explanation, then swung into the air toward Doctor Strange. After all, this mess had started because of him—he couldn't let Stephen bear it alone.
Stephen was standing on the torch of the Statue of Liberty, casting spell after spell, trying to close the cracks in the sky. But it wasn't working. The tears weren't sealing up; in fact, they were multiplying.
Peter swung up and asked what was going on. Stephen told him those rips in the sky led to the multiverse. And all those shadowy figures—they were coming for him!
Stephen was starting to run out of options, but Peter suddenly had an idea. He looked at him and asked, "What if… what if everyone forgot me? They're coming for me, right? For Peter Parker. So what if you cast a spell to make everyone forget who Peter Parker is… just forget me completely."
Stephen looked at the battered young Spider-Man and softened. He shook his head. "No."
But Peter smiled. "It'll work, won't it?"
"…Yes. It would," Stephen admitted seriously. "But you need to understand—everyone, even the ones you love… they'll all forget. It'll be like you never existed."
Tom swallowed hard, clearly realizing how serious this was. But then he smiled again, gently. "I understand. Do it."
At this point, the audience watching outside the screen couldn't help but feel proud. "The kid's grown up," they thought. "He's matured. I'm proud of him."
From the moment he first donned the suit, Peter had been rash and impulsive, always making mistakes. He'd been through a lot, but never really grown up. Until now. Now, he'd done it. Like his two predecessors, he finally understood what it meant to be a true hero—to make sacrifices, to take responsibility.
Pepper patted her boyfriend's hand and teased Tony, who had gone silent. "Look at him. The kid pulled it off. He's better than you, admit it. Sure, you could sacrifice yourself to save the world. But to live the rest of your life forgotten, invisible? Tony, you'd go nuts!"
Tony chuckled despite himself, his eyes fixed on the boy on screen. "Happy was right. I don't regret choosing him. I never doubted him."
Back in the video, Stephen paused after Peter's reply, then looked at him with deep emotion. "Then go say goodbye. There's not much time."
"Thank you, sir."
"Call me Stephen."
"Thank you, Stephen."
They smiled at each other. Peter nodded. "Until we meet again."
"Goodbye, kid." Stephen took a deep breath and, without hesitation, began casting the spell.
Meanwhile, Peter used the precious final minutes to say goodbye to the friends he'd just made—and the ones he already knew.
He started with the two other Spider-Men. Overwhelmed, he rambled his thanks, fumbling for words. Andrew smiled and cut him off, "Peter, we know."
Tobey followed up, "This is our destiny."
Peter smiled. Now that's what you call kindred spirits.
He let out a peaceful laugh. "Yeah… this is our destiny." Then he hugged them both tightly.
Next, he went to see Ned and MJ.
After Aunt May's death, Ned and MJ were the only family he had left. Saying goodbye was especially painful, particularly with MJ. They'd only just started dating—still in the first phase. They had plans to go to college together, to enjoy their youth side by side. But now, everything had to end.
He didn't hide what he was about to do, but he promised them: he'd find them again. He'd bring them back.
MJ, eyes brimming with tears, held his face in her hands. "Swear to me. When we meet again, you'll explain everything."
Tom stared at her, unwilling to let go, and nodded.
As the two kissed one last time, Stephen's spell took effect. One by one, Norman Osborn, Doctor Octavius, and the rest disappeared. Then Tobey and Andrew vanished too.
The cracks in the sky began to close.
And with that, Peter Parker began to fade from everyone's memory. They'd remember Spider-Man—but forget Peter Parker forever.
Peter swung away, MJ and Ned's tearful gazes following him.
From that moment on, he became a ghost to the world.
No—not just this world. To the entire multiverse.
---
A few weeks later.
Stephen's spell had worked perfectly. The world had completely forgotten Peter Parker. All they remembered was that Spider-Man had done something heroic at the Statue of Liberty.
Peter walked through the snow-covered streets, clutching a piece of paper. He was memorizing every word—he had made a promise to MJ and Ned. He would find them again, explain everything, and win back their friendship and love.
