After lunch, Ezra leaned casually against the car, his gaze fixed on the restaurant door while Elaine stood beside him, arms loosely crossed.
"You sure you want to be alone?" he asked, glancing at her. "You could come stay with us for a few days."
Elaine waved a hand, her expression light. "I'm single and free now… Don't burden me with motherly duties again so soon."
Ezra chuckled, shaking his head. "Okay, Mom. Whatever you say."
Just then, the restaurant door opened, and out came Scarlett but not alone. She was giggling, clearly enjoying the company of a tall, attractive man walking beside her.
Ezra straightened, eyebrows knitting together. "Oh no… Why is she coming with that man?"
Elaine raised an eyebrow, suddenly fixing her hair. "Wait… is that the guy who was staring at me?"
Ezra crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes. "Isn't she getting way too comfortable with him?"
Elaine smirked. "You are such a jealous boy."
