The bullet pierced Leila's forehead and exploded out the back of her head, blowing her skull apart in a burst of rainbow mist.
Leila's body stood for a moment.
Then light flooded through her.
Her body healed itself in seconds. A new sword was created in her hand.
Her eyes snapped open.
Without a word, she rushed forward again, closing the gap as Aurianna continued firing. But Leila dodged, deflected, and pressed on.
Aurianna backpedaled, her sniper rifle glowing ever brighter as she tried to maintain distance.
But Leila was closing in.
And this time, she wasn't planning to hold back.
Another bullet came from her side but Leila easily deflected them.
She soon caught up to Aurianna and, with a swift attack, swung her sword in three arcs—aiming for Aurianna's torso, neck, and legs all at once. The strikes landed with brutal precision, slicing through flesh and bone. Aurianna couldn't react in time. Her limbs were severed, her body collapsing.
