"It was truly a fortunate life event to chat with young friend Meng today. If you find the time, you are welcome to visit Nanshan Temple anytime to enjoy tea and discuss the Tao."
"To receive guidance from the master is deeply appreciated; I will definitely visit again."
Just before leaving, Meng Lang turned around and asked another question.
"By the way, Master, you said all sentient beings have Buddha-nature, but can those that are not sentient beings also attain Buddhahood?"
Master Intelligent was momentarily stunned, then he smiled lightly.
"Amitābha! All sentient beings have Buddha-nature, and thus attain Buddhahood. Plants and trees are part of the Dharma; they have Dharma-nature. Dharma-nature is Buddha-nature, originally of the same essence.
