The last few synthetic humans were bound together by Thira using gravity binding, and then everyone gathered around for a concentrated burst of gunfire, killing them.
Mia sat on the ground, grimacing in pain, while Nora treated her wounds. Although she had dodged most of the gunfire with rapid movement, her calf had still been hit by shrapnel... It seemed to be a stroke of bad luck from a bounce bullet ricocheting off the ground, requiring a minor surgery to remove it from her body.
Another injured member was Aske, who, at the beginning of the concentrated fire, used his Star Nine Forms' Rapid Fire to block most of the bullets, with only a few hitting his body.
This wasn't to say that the Star Nine Forms were flawed, but that his physical condition couldn't keep up—at the end of the day, swordsmanship requires sufficient physical strength to be effective. The more dense and numerous the bullets, the more robust the physical condition needed to be.
