"Tell me your plan, Krishna?"
"Sir, we have at least 10 water-type Pokemon with us and all of them are at least pseudo-king rank. These water-type Pokemons will go and drink the water and get hydrated. Then they can be used as a water source for us.
Since a lot of random Pokemons come to this lake to drink water, our Pokemons will not be questioned. They will just act a Pokemon of this cave.", said Krishna.\
The plan was brilliant. They could use water type Pokemons for water but there was a problem. After using their moves like 'Water gun' or 'Hydro pump', these water type Pokemons would also need to drink a lot of water.
Of course, not immediately, but they would be living here for 3 months now. So, if their water type Pokemons could drink water from this lake, then the problem would be solved.
"It is not a bad plan, Krishna, tell all the team members to change our location at the intersection of 2 sides. We will set up our new champ there. It will be easier for our water-type Pokemons to drink water from there.
###
A few days have passed and the problem of water had been resolved. Their water type Pokemons regularly went to the lake to drink water and just like Krishna said, they were not questioned. They were treated as a normal Pokemons that live inside the cave.
In these past few days, all of them had been training in their soul arts. The Pokemons had been training on their moves and they were getting stronger. Nidoking could feel that it was very close to reaching pseudo-champion rank.
While Gogoat and Togetic were training together to have a synergy effect. Togetic and the gang had decided to create a plan for the tide battles so that they would not be sheltered. But since Togetic was trapped here, it decided to work out the plan.
It was not that they had not tried to get out of this cave. They had told their Pokemon to use moves like 'Teleport' or 'Dig' to get out of the cave but none of them worked.
Moves like 'Teleport' or 'Dig' only worked inside the cave but they didn't work outside for some odd reason.
"The great one is definitely a dark type Pokemon but something just feels different.", said Absol.
"What do you mean?"
"I meant about the move 'Teleport' and 'Dig'. Why can't we get out of this place while using it?"
"Didn't you say that a dark type Pokemon could do anything? It must be one of its powers.", replied Axel.
"I did say that and I know that it is true. But even if we assume that the sacrifice is abundant which I don't believe it to be, a dark-type Pokemon would have to master those moves too.
And it is not just the moves. These would be like mastering different directions at the same time. That is not an easy thing to do."
Axel understood what Absol was saying. Controlling all those Pokemon, creating a cyclone to shield the island and now making a cave that acted as if it was in a different dimension.
That was like Slowemperor mastering, Ice make, Snow and absolute zero directions at the same time.
Even if this great one was thousands of years old, it would not be able to master all those directions. So, there was something that they were missing. Axel had to find it.
After spending a couple of weeks here, Axel had started to feel fear inside his heart. He had a feeling that they could not wait for 3 months for the cave to close down. At that time, the great one would do something and take control of all of them.
This great one must at least be a master-rank Pokemon or a god-rank Pokemon. Axel didn't know why it had not attacked them yet.
"Krishna, starting tomorrow, you will set up an explorer team. The team will consist of 5 members and the other 7 members will protect the camp. We will go to the right side of the cave and then start to explore it.
If we cannot do anything to the left side because of the lake, then we will go to the right side."
"Yes sir!!!"
###
The next day,
Krishna had already set up a team for tomorrow.
Krishna Axel Makunda Suresh Rajiv
These were the people that were going to explore the cave. He had chosen them for multiple reasons. Actually, Roshan was also a good choice because he was very powerful and also had a powerful water-type Pokemon.
But since he could not be trusted for such a high level mission, Krishna didn't choose him.
"First it was Golems, then it was Steelix and Onix. What are we going to face now?", asked Makunda.
They were now moving to the cave and they had already crossed the place where they had fought with Steelix.
"The Pokemons in the caves are limited and they seem to have their fixed place of living. We have not been here for a few days but none of the Pokemons have occupied this place.
Also, the group of Pokemons living here is also very small for some reason. This cave is very big. It looks like an entire kingdom. It never ends."
The more they went inside, the wider the cave became.
After walking for hours, they finally got to the next checkpoint. It was a team of Simisear.
This was quite unusual. Simisear didn't live in caves. Onix and Golems did but not Simisear. Axel could not think much about it as they were already attacking.
There was only 1 tier 1 king rank Pokemon and the rest of them were at pseudo-king rank. So, it was quite an easy fight.
There were around 35 of them. It took them some time to deal with all those Pokemon but they had some strong water-type Pokemons to counter them.
Some of their Pokemons got hurt but it was not a serious injury. The battle was won at last and Axel caught the tier 1 king rank Simisear for future use.
###
Days passed on like that. It had now been a month since they had been trapped inside this cave. They had fought many battles. Axel and the team started to realize that fights had started to get a lot harder than before.
The quantity and the quality of the Pokemons have increased a lot. Before, they were only facing around 30-35 Pokemons one time but now, the number has increased to 50.
50 Pokemons per fight might not seem like a lot for a tide battle team where they would have to deal with hundreds of thousands of Pokemons but there were only 5 team members and they only had 40 Pokemons.
The quality of the Pokemons had increased too. Now, they had to deal with at least 3-4 tier 2 king-rank Pokemons and the number of tier 1 king-rank Pokemons has also increased.
After the battle with Simisear, they had fought a total of 16 battles. That was a lot.
"Sir, I believe that the next battle will be harder than the last one. Way harder. I think we need to be prepared and rest for some days.", advised Krishna.
"We do need to rest for some days. All of our Pokemons are tired but we still don't know how to get out of the cave.", sighed Axel.
Fighting Pokemons and exploring the cave was not the only thing that they had done in this month. The rest of them had been analyzing the cave and looking for any hidden doors and hints to get out of the cave but they had not found anything till now.
"Why do you think that the next wave will be harder?", asked Axel.
"Sir, the Steelix and Onix were an exception for some reason but till the 9th wave, we only faced tier 1 king-rank Pokemons. But the 10th wave changed everything. We started to face tier 2 king-rank Pokemon since then.
The next wave will be the 20th wave. Hypothetically, we might be facing tier 3 king-rank Pokemons."
If this was a normal day, a normal place, and a normal time then Axel would have made fun of Krishna for being so dramatic but they were in the unknown and a lot of unusual things were happening around them. So, it was a possibility that they might be facing a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon.
Facing a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon was not so hard. Axel had Nidoking and Krishna had Blastoise. Both of them were tier 3 king-rank Pokemons. But in addition to that they would have to face at least 50 other Pokemons. The number might increase to even 60. That was a very astronomical number for 40 Pokemons on their side.
"Kate and John will join the next team. Tell them to get ready."
They were actually a team of 12. Axel had told Krishna to gather 10 team members. So, excluding Axel and Krishna, there were 10 captains which included Kate and John.
The reason why Axel had not counted them when they were inside the cave was because they were not the ones who were stuck inside the cave.
This was actually a very funny story.
When all of them rushed towards the cave to save themselves, Kate and John didn't do so. Since all of them were running, they ran in different directions. Those wild Pokemons didn't notice them and they were outside.
Axel had hoped that they would call someone and bring help but alas after a few hours, they were mysteriously teleported inside the cave. No one knew how that had happened.
But it must be said that Kate and John were powerful. Each of them had a tier 2 king rank Pokemon and they complemented each other.
###
After a few days of rest, they finally decided to tackle the next wave. They had really gone deep inside the cave and now it would take around 1 day to reach their previous checkpoint.
This could be reached after running at full speed. The cave was truly very vast and wide.
"Sir, what kind of Pokemons do you think that we will be facing now?", asked Krishna.
He was a bit nervous and excited. He was also partly happy. He had all the reasons to be happy.
Because they had caught a lot of Pokemons who were exceptionally strong and had some unique abilities.
Axel and Krishna didn't know if they could use these Pokemons in the future. They still had the passive move that made the great one control them. But if by some luck, that passive move is not operative when they reach their base, then they would have stuck a gold mine.
The group started to walk slowly. They also had to take care of all the traps that had been lying around. After a month, all of them knew what kind of traps they would be facing. But it still took time.
Finally, Suresh said, "Sir, my Pokemon has noticed a presence. There are a lot of Pokemons ahead."
Axel had not brought Absol today. It wanted to train and he didn't want to disturb it. But he did call Nidoking with him. If the theory of Krishna was correct, then they might be facing a powerful tier 3 king-rank Pokemon.
As they went near, they sent some Pokemons to scout ahead. But among the 5 Pokemons that went, only 3 made it back. All of them looked scared for some reason.
"Who is it? What are we facing?", asked Axel.
"Sir, we are facing a spider-type Pokemon. My Pokemons could not tell the species of the spider but they said that they were of electric type. Also, some of our Pokemons got stuck on their webs and could not come out."
