Mei Ling knew that this must be quite stressful for them as Kiu held her neck tightly in fear that she would drop her. She patted her back and whispered on her ears. ''Hold tight now. It is really crowded. I do not wish to lose such a cute sister. Hm?'' She winked at her and made the little girl chuckle in happiness and relax a little bit. Soon Kiu started looking around just like Mei Ling and commenting this and that with cheerful voice.
The small family was actually not rare thing to see, but the way they interacted with each other with huge smiles and cheery laughter soon they attracted looks from all kinds of individuals. Some smiled themselves as they felt happiness seeping out them and some like a woman that just came out store felt that they were just sore in their eyes.
''How disgraceful. Big madam Ko looking like a simple peasant and even acting like one. Good that your brother divorced her or she would have put down the whole family with the way she is now. Miss Ko, where are you going?'' The woman that just spoke saw the young woman quickly walking towards the group of people and suddenly froze in mid of street as two blue eyes looked at her with ice. She felt like whole body was frozen stiff and out fear, she couldn't even move one step for or back.
Even after those eyes turned away she still couldn't get off the feeling that if she walked further she would have died. What is wrong with that girl and who is she? How does Nalan know her? The young woman stood there and stared at the street where they disappeared and suddenly turned around scaring the woman behind her.
''Miss Lau, I am sorry, but I think I need to tell my brother that this woman is still in town. We need to do something. Can you go alone back home?'' She was nervous. What if that woman tells everyone what really happened?
Lau Ran just nodded and as Shan Ko rushed towards the exit she chuckled. ''Does she think her brother is Grand Elder and can evict and kick out anyone from town. He just got married to one of the lower Elder's daughters, not Grand Elder Supreme. I think their family thinks they are over everyone's head.''
The servant was silent for a few moments and then still asked. ''Miss Ran, how comes you spoke so badly about old miss Ko? I could tell she was not a bad person and her power seem to be quite strong. What is the reason for your dislike of her and her family? Is it because she was now divorced and poor or because she was kicked out of the family and clan?''
She turned her eyes towards her servant and shook her head. ''I do think that Nalan Ko became disgraceful to wear such clothes, I admit, but to kick her out town for that reason I would never even think of it. That woman is an amazing healer and my family would get angry at me if I make her angry. Early or later that woman's power will rise and it is not good to make her enemy. But that girl with blue eyes next to her... She is not simple at all. Nalan Ko truly has luck. Getting rid of the Ko family was actually better for her. Maybe I should contact her?
