Humanity Online: World Sanctuary

After an accident leaves pro-gamer Eric Lieu both mentally and physically scarred, he’s forced to leave the pro circuit and any chance he’d ever have at being the “best.” In real life, socially-awkward loners whose facial muscles only seem to recognize “surly frown” and “smug-ass smirk” as expressions don’t get to rule the world. But then eccentric genius Zhao Jianyu launches Viren’s Refuge, the first full-immersion VRMMORPG, and Eric decides to join this game of Gods and monsters to rise from the ashes even stronger than before. Citing his belief that “Games belong to the Gamers,” Zhao Jianyu refuses corporate investments and offers an unbelievable deal to hardcore gamers: Play for Shares! The first 10,000 players to buy the insanely expensive VR gear and game subscription will receive stock in Zhao Jianyu’s private company. Furthermore, once the initial 9 Mythic Realms of the game are defeated, the Final Player Rankings will determine who inherits the company. Zhao Jianyu does all he can to make the playing field equal against the corporations determined to exploit his game, but it will be up to the gamers themselves to prove that those who enjoy the game the most will always be the ultimate winners. With the help from a quirky cast of friends Eric definitely didn’t ask for (and can’t understand why they keep sticking around), Eric is determined to win the game for the gamers and help Zhao Jianyu realize his dream of a world safe for all types of people—even the loser loners. But with so many real-world stakes, will Eric be able to survive long enough to prove the true worth of a gamer?

Level 1 to Apex: My Monster Templates Defy Reality!

Veyne came from the life of sewer rats. The world saw him as a failure. He called it belief. Others called it stupidity. Either way, it was the only thing he had left. Even at rock bottom, Veyne never stopped believing in himself. Betrayed by his lover and brother, treated as a burden, and forced to slave endlessly in the game to chase his dream—he endured it all. Though late, his obsession was finally rewarded with an opportunity. But the sewer rat in him was too weak to hold onto it. He had fought the world and lost. Actions have consequences. And when he failed in the game, those consequences caught up to him, leading to his death. But the universe wasn’t done with him yet. Given a second chance, he returned to a time when the game had already been out for two years. This time, he rushed to obtain the Template Wilder class—the very class that led to his downfall. One of the game’s rarest hidden classes, the Wilder class, allowed him to switch into different forms based on the monster templates he possessed. An overpowered ability—but it came with a fatal catch. A hidden template forced him into the form of an ancient baby creature, one so cursed that players, monsters, and even NPCs would hunt him down. If he died in that form, his character would be permanently deleted. In his past life, he underestimated the class’s dangers. And the world tore him apart for it. This time, it wouldn’t be just hollow belief. This time, he’s not here to survive—he’s here to dominate. No emotional ties. No second chances. The entire game is his enemy, and he will crush anyone who stands in his way. He failed once. He suffered. He died. He was erased. Not this time. This is the beginning of his legend. The era of Veyne Draven.

Age of Kings 1066

This is a story about Rio. This story is loosely connected with my previous story, but there will be either no or almost no crossover; it just has a similar main character. So you do NOT need to read my previous story to understand or read this story. This story does contain a system, but it is a strictly informational system. I made it so it would make it easier to visualize the map, and so the character can have a slight advantage, but nothing too crazy. It won't appear until later. Now for the story. This will be a story about a small Duchy that is within the region of Wallachia, connected with the Carpathian Mountains. Our main character will be born to the ducal family, but will not know this until he is older. The Duchy is led by Radovid V, and his family has suffered many losses that forced Radovid to find any living family members left in his Dynasty. The Duchy is small and is surrounded by hostile forces waiting to annex it should Radovid die without an heir. Rio is a reincarnated scientist who has knowledge of many old and advanced technologies, but he doesn't know everything. He is fairly clueless when it comes to combat and war, so he will have to rely on his council to guide him through these tough times. And he may know a lot of technologies and what is needed to build them, but he doesn't know every invention that has ever existed. I won't have the technology instantly jump to using modern firearms, and instead, it will be a slow and methodical advancement of technology, like they are using a tech tree in a video game. The setting will be like what was stated earlier 1050s and beyond, but beyond that, the world will be quite different from our history, as this will be an Alt-History world where the divine did exist at one point. But what happened to them will be elaborated on later. Radovid and Rio are part of a dynasty that has dragon blood, but at varying levels. The world does have magic, but with the mass adoption of Christianity, magical creatures and beings that used magic were hunted down and purged. But those that survived fled to the Duchy of Concordia, where the Draconis family rules and has ruled since before the Western Roman Empire fell. But even with this sanctuary, few magical beings and users remain. Yes, there will be Pokémon, not many but a few. There will be far more magical creatures than Pokémon. But I like Pokémon and wanted to include one or two. The Videogame tag refers to the system as I am basing it on the interface of Crusader Kings III, and I will use that game for maps, as it will make it the most accurate and easiest to use map. And it will make it easy for you, the reader, to visualize what the kingdoms and Empires look like in terms of territory. This story will be Harem. I didn't in my last book, it will be at most 4, but at least 2. Just know that Harems are historically accurate for many cultures and kingdoms. Lastly, for the planned schedule of release. I intend on releasing one chapter per day, Monday through Friday. The Chapters will be at least 1500 but can be longer. This is a Fanfic, and as such, I will never charge anyone for reading it, nor will it be locked behind coins or something. I write for fun, and anything in this book is a work of fiction and is not meant to offend or insult any group or people in any way, shape, or form. I love history, but I don't know everything. If you have any questions, leave a comment. I answer just about every comment that is made on my stories, and I appreciate constructive criticism. Especially grammar, I use Grammarly, but it can make mistakes, and I can miss these mistakes, so let me know if you find any.
