This book has been written for over two years. Actually, just like *Era of Literature*, it's an old story, only told from a new perspective.
As I've said before, I don't like building a plot on an already mature framework. I prefer working from a blank slate or crafting a new system in the aftermath of upheaval.
The original idea behind *Gu Yu's Immortality* was to depict the societal transformations brought about by the revival of Spiritual Energy. This is why the supporting characters occupy a significant portion of the book. I sought to portray a picture of all walks of life, but unfortunately, due to lack of skill and other 404 reasons, it was merely a superficial attempt without deep exploration.
Compared to the previous book, this one involved a lot of commercial experimentation—some successful, some not. But overall, the results have been slightly better than those of *Era of Literature*.
