Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Soul Guidance Device

"Blue Silver Emperor?"

Upon hearing Tang Hao's revelation, everyone present including Tang San was shocked. A single Spirit Beast had forced six Titled Douluos to retreat—such power was unimaginable!

Tai Tan swallowed hard and asked in astonishment, "Master, could that Blue Silver Emperor have reached the level of a Peak Douluo or even higher?"

This question piqued everyone's curiosity. The difference between each rank among Titled Douluos was enormous. While it wasn't impossible for one Titled Douluo to defeat six at levels 91 or 92—they believed Tang Hao could achieve such a feat—it would be nearly impossible against six Peak Douluos.

After a moment of silence, Tang Hao replied, "If I'm not mistaken, that Blue Silver Emperor had just reached level ninety."

!!!

"Just level ninety! How is that possible? Even if Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo weren't Peak Douluos at the time, they should have been at least level 94," said Yang Wudi, whose cultivation was second only to Tang Hao's, finding this hard to believe.

Tang San pondered for a while before offering his perspective: "Is it because that Blue Silver Emperor was a 100,000-Year Soul Beast, possessing powerful 100,000-Year Soul Skills and Spirit Bone abilities?"

His words brought sudden realization to the others. Of course—it was a 100,000-Year Soul Beast to begin with!

A 100,000-Year Soul Beast naturally possessed a Spirit Bone, and what's more, the most precious 100,000-Year Spirit Bone, along with its 100,000-Year Soul Skills.

The concept of 100,000-Year Soul Beasts taking human form wasn't a secret at their level. They had all heard of this possibility, but none had ever heard of a 100,000-Year Soul Beast successfully completing the transformation and reaching Titled Douluo status. Previously, those who attempted transformation were hunted down before succeeding, and such attempts were extremely rare to begin with.

Every Titled Douluo dreamed of obtaining a 100,000-Year Soul Ring and Spirit Bone. Possessing these two treasures would allow a Titled Douluo to fight above their level. So wouldn't a transformed Spirit Beast reaching Titled Douluo status naturally possess these two divine items?

Tang Hao nodded in agreement. "The Blue Silver Emperor's incredible strength was indeed related to this. Its Soul Skills were immensely powerful, but most formidable was the domain it possessed."

"At that time, Spirit Hall's Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo executed a Martial Soul Fusion Technique. The combined force of several experts was no weak opponent—they even managed to blast through half of the Blue Silver Emperor's body. Yet within its domain, it seemed indestructible, quickly recovering from its injuries. It likely could draw upon the vitality of Blue Silver Grass within its domain to heal itself."

The concept of domains wasn't unfamiliar to Tang San—his father possessed the God of Slaughter Domain. The effects of this domain were straightforward: filling the user with killing intent within the domain, making them fearless while boosting their Soul Power, while opponents within the domain would feel fear, experience slowed Soul Power circulation, and feel chilled throughout their bodies, thus weakening their combat effectiveness.

The Blue Silver Emperor's domain, however, appeared to be one that enhanced vitality and recovery, rather than being combat-oriented.

"Father, how large was the Blue Silver Emperor's domain?" Tang San asked.

Hearing this, Tang Hao's smile turned bitter as he said, "I'm afraid its domain encompasses the entire Star Dou Great Forest. All the Blue Silver Grass within should be under its control."

Gulp. Everyone present felt their throats tighten and sweat bead on their foreheads. Though they had anticipated this, it still left them utterly shocked!

After all, it was the emperor of Blue Silver Grass, and Blue Silver Grass was as common as roadside weeds—limitless in quantity. The vitality of a single Blue Silver Grass might be weak, but when combined across the entire forest, it became terrifyingly formidable!

No wonder Spirit Hall had dubbed that Blue Silver Emperor as "immortal and indestructible"!

At this point, everyone wholeheartedly supported Tang Hao's decision to forbid Tang San from entering the Star Dou Great Forest. With something so insidiously powerful lurking there, how could anyone possibly contend with it?

Having heard all this, Tang San naturally couldn't oppose his father. What if the Blue Silver Emperor could communicate through the Blue Silver Grass and suddenly appear before him? That would be disastrous—no matter how powerful his Hidden Weapons were, they couldn't possibly handle a 100,000-Year Soul Beast!

Thus, Tang San ultimately decided to head to Sunset Forest to hunt for his second Soul Ring.

Late at night, atop one of the Clear Sky Sect's peaks stood a black tower. This was an independent room built for Tang San by the Defense Clan, who specialized in architecture. It served as his workshop for forging Hidden Weapons and practicing the martial arts of the Lotus Soul Guidance Device.

Some things Tang San wasn't ready to reveal to the world yet, so secrecy was naturally necessary.

"Deep Sea Sinking Silver, Fiber Secret Silver, Titanium Iron Ore—all in ample quantities, enough for forging." Tang San gazed at the three large chunks of ore laid out before him, which he had purchased earlier that day for fifty thousand gold coins.

"Pity this Deep Sea Sinking Silver isn't the mother lode." Tang San set the Deep Sea Sinking Silver aside and picked up the Fiber Secret Silver in the middle.

The Fiber Secret Silver was a beautiful silvery-white hue. This special metal was soft yet dense, resistant to vibration and radiation, highly malleable, and could be drawn into thin filaments or films. Using a unique forging method, it could be crafted into a flexible protective armor.

Recalling the forging technique he had obtained from the Lotus Soul Guidance Device, Tang San murmured to himself, "Secret Silver Soft Armor. With this, even if I encounter a powerful thousand-year Spirit Beast, it can block a full-force strike. The rest comes down to the Hidden Weapons."

Forging Hidden Weapons wasn't particularly difficult, given Tang San's identity. He had already mastered the Clear Sky Sect's Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique.

After finalizing his plan, Tang San didn't rush to begin. Instead, he turned his attention to the workbench beside him, where an assortment of oddly shaped fragments and parts were scattered.

His expression shifted slightly at the sight of these fragments, for they all came from objects known as Soul Guidance Devices.

These so-called Soul Guidance Devices were man-made tools powered by Soul Power. They could practically be considered relics, as the knowledge of their creation and construction had long been lost. These fragments originated from several Soul Guidance Devices, but due to their age, none remained functional. They had gone unsold at auction and were eventually purchased by Tang San at a low price for research.

Strictly speaking, these pieces were nothing more than scrap metal. Tang San had tried disassembling and repairing them, but ultimately failed—their internal structures were simply too complex.

Tang San sifted through the fragments of the Soul Guidance Devices, his brows furrowing as he glanced at an exquisite ring on his finger—a Spatial Soul Guidance Device capable of storage. By channeling Soul Power into it, one could open a small dimensional space to store items within the ring.

"This is too strange. Soul Guidance Devices, these ancient technologies, seem so out of place in the present era. How could such advanced things have existed in antiquity?"

In his ten years, Tang San had his worldview shattered twice. The first was when he learned that gods existed in this world, and the second was when he discovered the existence of Soul Guidance Devices.

How could such an incredibly backward world possess technology capable of manipulating space? Such an exquisitely precise, ultra-high-level product—how could it possibly appear on the Douluo Continent?!
