After a few days in the infirmary, he returns home. Upon his return, he gets a flashback of what happened some days back where he remembers the surge of energy that flowed through body from the meteor. He was thrilled and worried at the same time thinking of the events that might happen next. Suddenly, a system pops up telling him that he has gained the ultimate skill '' AWAKENING '' .
Osmos is shocked at this discovery. The system explains to him that he has inherited powers great beyond his imagination. It then tells him that he has a total of 12 points and can allocate it to various stats like strength, agility, magic power, defence, sword handling and spirit beast taming. Osmos is releived at the sight and plans to use his new found power to increase in rank.
Osmos then allocates points equally to each stat areas:
Strength- 2
Agility- 2
Magic power- 2
Defence- 2
Sword handling- 2
Spirit beast taming- 2
The system pops up again telling him to complete a certain quest.
QUEST: KILL 10 HORNED RABBITS. REWARD - 10XP
He is suprised at first but pushes away the thought of it. He bathes, dresses and heads to the Cental Guild. At the Central Guild where he meets the guild receptionist, an old friend named Emma. She greets him warmly and asked what he was doing here. Osmos replys that he wanted to get a Hunter's card and a sword for hunting. Emma tells him to wait as she gets the appropriate materials.
In the course of waiting, Osmos encounters a newbie party of 2 members from his school. Upon closer inspection, he discovers that they are his two close classmates, Mary and Diffiles. They greet him and also get a demand from Emma. After sometime, they get their Hunter's card which are at F rank with their respective materials. They later agree to form a party and take a quest to defeat horned rabbits.
On their way to the forest zone, Osmos discovers the abilities of the others where Mary is a mage and Diffiles a spirit beast tamer. They do some side talk, plan and discuss on the tactics they will use for the battle. On arrival to the Forest zone, they search for the horned rabbits.
Mary uses SEARCH, an ability used for tracking enemies and discovers a group of horned rabbits nearby. They located them and start their ambush. Using a skill called SUMMONER, Diffiles summons his beast, a Sabertooth Tiger(Frio) and heads for an attack with Osmos acting as the rear attacker. With the help of Frio, multiple horned rabbits are thrown up in the air and with a buff from Mary, Osmos flies into the air and with a slash kills all the horned rabbits. After this, all of them level up and collect the cores and the materials. They use the same strategy and defeat multiple hoards. On getting to the middle of the forest, they encounter the Horned Rabbit King which had stats of:
L - 15, Str - 4, Agi - 15, Def - 6, MP - 20, SP - 5.
On seeing this, they try to escape but the Rabbit King notices them and attacks them. Mary deploys HOLYSHIELD to protect Osmos and Diffiles but the Rabbit King breaks through it and injures Mary. With the healer gone, it attacks Diffiles and Osmos with lightning speed ⚡and reflexes. It bites Diffiles and kicks Osmos into the wall with a massive soundwave. Diffiles gets badly injured. Osmos stands to his feets bleeding from his arms and legs, wanting to continue the battle. The Rabbit King sees him but turns to attack Mary and Diffiles. In a moment of desperation, the system pops up asking whether he wants to purchase the skill BERSEKER MODE. He agrees and the system informs him about the successful transaction.
He activates the skill BERSEKER MODE and exute a dangerous amount of aura and bloodlust. His eyes turn red and he looks at the Rabbit King with an intense gaze.
He dashes towards the Rabbit King with exceptional speed and with a great impact gives a punch towards the Rabbit King. The Rabbit King bounces backward a few times before regaining his balance and leaps forward for a counterattack. After some few blows, the Rabbit King injures Osmos but then is shocked when Osmos regenerates within the blink of an eye.
All of a sudden, a dark aura surrounds the edges of the sword carried by Osmos. And with a roar and swift dash, Osmos perfectly launched an attack that divided the Rabbit King into two parts.
Mary and Diffiles who were watching the whole time where amazed. And right before there eyes, the protagonist fell unconscious to the floor.
