Later That Day — Outside Lara's House
Bobby stands at a distance, watching Lara's home in silence. He debates silently in his head.
Bobby (thinking): "Should I go and ask her for help? No… I just met them two days ago. I haven't even talked to them much."
As he hesitates, Ryn returns from the market and spots him.
Ryn: "Hey, Bobby. What are you doing here?"
Startled, Bobby turns to face her.
Bobby: "Nothing... I was just passing by."
Ryn: "You know, I told you — you're always welcome here, didn't I? So, tell me… what is it?"
Bobby (hesitant): "I… I came to ask Mr. Garron for help… to teach me how to use resonance."
Ryn (nodding): "Ah, I see now. Even I can teach you, you know."
Bobby (surprised): "Huh...? You will?"
Ryn (smiling): "But not today. I've got some errands to finish. Tomorrow, I'll teach you. But for now, you can go meet my husband. I think he's at the forest — you'll find him there."
Bobby: "Okay."
As he turns to leave, she calls out again.
Ryn: "Bobby, here — catch this!"
She tosses an apple toward him. Bobby catches it with a soft smile.
Bobby: "Thanks."
Elsewhere — Lara with Her Uncle
Lara: "Uncle, I need to master that technique I've been working on for two months. I have to master it within these five days."
Rael Blaze (Lara's Uncle): "I know why you're in such a rush to learn it. But it's not that easy. That technique took me four months just to grasp. Lara, it's too hard."
Lara (determined): "I need to master it, and I'll do whatever it takes — no matter how hard it is. I have to do it before the Clash."
Rael (sighs): "You know… sometimes you're just too damn stubborn."
Lara (playful): "Hey, I'm not that stubborn."
Rael (smirking): "Alright, alright, chill out."
Meanwhile — In the Forest
Bobby walks through the forest, looking around.
Bobby: "Huh… where is he? I can't seem to find him."
Suddenly, a small sound catches his attention. He quietly moves toward it, parting the bushes — and finds Garron standing alone, facing a tree.
Garron: "Come out, Bobby. Why are you hiding?"
Bobby (surprised): "How did you know I was there? You didn't even turn."
Garron (smirking): "You'll understand one day. Now, tell me — what brings you here?"
Bobby: "I came to ask for your help. If you don't mind… could you teach me how to use resonance?"
Garron: "Of course. Let's start."
Bobby (shocked): "What? You'll really teach me?"
Garron (firmly): "Yes."
️ Training Continues — Resonance Basics (Part 2)
Garron: "First, Bobby, resonance isn't something you force. It's something you feel. The power inside you responds to your focus, not your frustration."
Bobby: "So it's not triggered by anger?"
Garron: "Not necessarily. Strong emotions can boost it, but true resonance comes from balance — harmony between your will and your Vein. Focus your breathing. Clear your mind. Don't push — listen."
Bobby closes his eyes, breathing slowly. His fingers twitch.
Garron: "Now… think about your elements — fire and wind. Picture them as energy flowing through you. Invite them to move. Don't command."
A faint breeze circles Bobby's hand — warm and tinged with heat.
Bobby (amazed): "It moved... I felt it."
Garron (smiling): "Good. That's your first step. From now on, every move you make must be in sync with your resonance."
On the Way Home — Lara Overhears the Crowd
As Lara walks back from her training, her clothes damp with sweat and her hair tied back, she hears murmurs coming from a small group of villagers gathered near an old tree.
**Villager 1 (whispering):** "Did you hear about the new announcement? They're changing the pairing rules."
**Villager 2:** "Yeah, they said fighters must face someone from a same clan. I think that Shade guy's up next — probably with that outsider girl."
**Villager 3:** "But what about Lara? She's the daughter of the Fire Clan leader. They wouldn't just let her sit out."
**Villager 2:** "You're right. Maybe she'll fight that boy. You know — the one who almost killed the Village Leader's son."That maniac?"
**Villager 1:** "What was his name again…?"
**Villager 3:** "Bobby. Yeah, Bobby. The Village Leader had to step in to stop him that time."
**Villager 2:** "If she really ends up fighting him… that's going to be something."
**Villager 1 (murmuring):** "I think she'll lose."
**Villager 2:** "No way. You really think he could beat her?"
**Villager 1:** "She's strong and skilled, sure — but he's unpredictable."
**Villager 3:** "Can't wait to see them face each other."
Lara pauses just out of view, her jaw tightening. Her eyes narrow slightly.
**Lara (coldly, under her breath):** "Bobby…"
She walks away in silence, her footsteps sharp against the ground.
Later That Night — Lara Returns Home
Lara: "I'm home."
Ryn: "Where have you been until now?"
Lara: "Just practicing. Mom, where's Dad?"
Ryn: "I think he must be training Bobby."
Lara: "What?! But why is Dad training him?"
Ryn: "Oh, I see you didn't hear. Bobby came today and asked your father to help him understand resonance."
Lara: "But why Dad? Why does he have to train him?"
Ryn: "Lara, I don't understand why you're so distant toward him. You're usually so kind to everyone, even those who hurt you. Was there something between you two?"
Lara (frustrated): "Haa… you don't understand."
She rushes to her room.
Ryn (calling out): "Lara, wait!"
Ryn glances at Lara's hand and thinks to herself.
Ryn (thinking): "Why is she training so hard? This isn't like her..."
That Night — Outside the camp
Under the pale silver moon, Bobby stands alone in a clearing, surrounded by tall, silent trees. He punches forward again and again, sweat running down his brow, each strike more focused than the last. His breath is steady, his stance more grounded. A faint glow pulses in his palm for a second before flickering out.
Bobby (gritting his teeth): "Again. I have to get this right."
He repeats the motion, drawing in the energy with intent, trying to feel the wind and flame stir within him.
Meanwhile, far across the camp, Lian stands beneath a cascading waterfall, his training clothes soaked, clinging tightly to him. He clenches his fists as torrents crash against his body. The air around him is heavy with tension. He breathes sharply, holding a stance despite the sheer pressure.
Wind rushes through the trees behind him, swirling in harmony with his breath.
Two prodigies.
Two battles.
Two destinies.
