"Two hundred years ago, a bright star appeared out of nowhere in the sky. They all thought it was just a normal star, but this is what changed everything about humans," Danny informed her.
Her eyes widened as she listened to what he said. "What? Two hundred years ago?" she thought in shock.
She was shocked because she had only fallen asleep—and woke up in a completely different era.
"It's good to see that you're back to your senses," Danny said calmly, smiling.
She smiled back at him.
"We don't have any records about you, nor does anyone seem to know who you are. So the main reason I came here is to interrogate you," he said in a serious voice.
"Yeah, I know that," she replied gently.
But in her mind, things were very different.
"You really think I'm okay? Are you an idiot? I just snuck out of my house last night, and now I woke up two hundred freaking years later! And that's not even all—you and your damn friends just casually stabbed me with an injection!" Her mind was a mess; she couldn't comprehend what she was caught up in.
"So, what is it you want to know about me?" she asked.
"We want to know what kind of... no, I mean, we want to know about you," Danny replied.
"Okay, that won't be a problem. Starting with my name: I am Lux Aeterna, daughter... ahem, and that's all I know about myself," she answered.
"I'd be too careless if I told him everything. There's no guarantee I'd be safe," she thought.
"Thanks, Lux. I'll go now and report to my admirals about you and about how you could help... no, I mean about your safety," Danny said in a low, slightly suspicious voice.
He seemed to often slip up with his words—or maybe it meant something else.
"Bye, see you again," she said, a gentle expression on her face.
"Oh no, I didn't even ask him what that star really did to them… or what happened two hundred years ago," her voice echoed in the room, filled with regret.
