Chapter 3: The Abandoned Cabin
(It was dark and heavy. Mist crawled between the trees, and the ground beneath Xiao Feng's feet was wet and soft. His breathing was uneven, his wounds still aching.)
š "I need to find a safe place⦠that cabin I saw might be my last chance."
(With trembling hands, he pushed aside branches and moved toward the old, forgotten cabin standing in the middle of the forest like a silent fortress.)
š Xiao Feng (in a low, shaky voice):
"Hello? Anyone in there?"
(The cabin door creaked open, releasing a swirl of dust into the air. The smell of damp wood and moss filled his lungs.)
š "I don't know what's waiting for me inside⦠but I know if I stay out here, I won't survive."
(He stepped inside cautiously, eyes scanning the shadows for a place to rest.)
---
(Xiao Feng held his breath. His hand was shaking slightly, but curiosity wouldn't let him back away.)
š "What is this book? What's written inside?"
(He gently placed his hand on the old cover and touched it.)
š A bell-like sound echoed in the air:
"Ding! Immortal Chef System Activated."
(His eyes widened in shock. The book began to glow, then slowly dissolved into the air like smoke.)
š "What the hell just happened?"
(Standing alone in the cabin, without the book and full of questionsā¦)
š A distant, soft voice echoed:
"Welcome to the next stage, Xiao Fengā¦"
---
(Xiao Feng took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. His head was full of questions.)
š "Next stage? What does that mean? What is this system going to give me?"
(He looked around the cabin. The shadows felt like they were alive, and something strange hung in the air.)
š Mysterious voice:
"You've chosen a difficult path, Xiao Feng⦠but each step will make you stronger."
(He clenched his fist and whispered to himself:)
š "Fine⦠whatever comes next, I won't lose."
(The cabin door slowly shut. Darkness filled the room againābut a faint memory of the glowing book still shimmered in his mind.)
---
(Xiao Feng stood in silence, listening. Only the wind moved through the broken windows.)
š "So this system⦠is it going to help me? Or is it just another test?"
(His eyes landed on a dusty wooden chest in the corner.)
š "I need to open that. Maybe there's something insideā¦"
(With a shaking hand, he lifted the lid. Inside was a wrapped object. He unwrapped it carefully and found an old knifeāand a worn piece of paper.)
š "This knife⦠it feels important. And this paper⦠is it a map? Or a recipe?"
(He opened the page. Strange symbols and faded ink danced across itāclearly a cod
e.)
š "Game on... I need to crack this."
