Chapter 9 - Chapter 10 Thank you, Sila

A few moments later.

Natasha stood in front of the full-length mirror, a knee-length dress in her hands. She had bought this dress for herself as a gift on her last birthday, but she hadn't gotten a chance to put it on. She had hoped that she would put it on if Kenny asked her out for dinner, but things had now ended between her and him, and the dress couldn't be worn on such an occasion.

The fabric of the dress was a delicate shade of lavender, adorned with intricate lace detailing along the neckline and hem. As her body slipped into the dress, it hugged her curves perfectly, fitting perfectly on her slender figure. The color complemented her fair complexion, making her eyes sparkle with a hint of excitement.

She looked at herself, and she liked what she saw. This time round, she wanted to focus on herself; she wanted to lift her spirits. She didn't want to think about anything that could make her sad. Natasha opened the top pocket of her bag and took out a makeup kit. She hadn't applied makeup for a while either; she had concentrated on loving Kenny and keeping him happy.

After carefully applying her makeup, Natasha took one last glance at herself in the mirror. Her lips were shining pink after applying the lip gloss, and the soft curls of her hair lay down her shoulders, adding a touch of elegance to her appearance. She felt confident and ready to leave the country.

She felt that she would miss the place because of the nice memories she had, but at the same time, she wouldn't miss the city because of the painful memories. This is the city she had enjoyed the most in her youth, and the same city that put an end to her joy.

Natasha wasn't sure if she would ever come back. She hoped she didn't.

Meanwhile, Sila stood outside the apartment building, holding his phone. He had never been to this part of town before, and Natasha's directions seemed to lead him to an entirely different world. The streets were lined with tall, imposing buildings, which spoke of money and wealth. The road was calm with no public means of transport.

The place seemed to be high in people, especially the wealthiest business owners of the country. Sila couldn't understand why she was living in that place.

As much as he knew Natasha and her family, she couldn't be living in such a place.

Sila knew that Natasha was married to a man by the name Keof nny but he didn't know anything else about that man.

He had tried carrying out his research into the man, but he didn't get any important information about him. Sila finally assumed that Kenny was just an ordinary man without anything special about him.

Natasha had never talked to him about the place they were living, or the occupation of her husband. She never mentioned to him how they met, how they fell in love and how they got married. Things had moved on very fast, and so, Sila couldn't even question her.

As Sila entered the apartment lobby, he couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration. The interior was polished with luxurious furnishings, and the atmosphere was completely different from what he was used to. He found himself standing in front of the elevator, waiting anxiously for it to arrive at Natasha's floor.

When the elevator doors opened, Sila stepped out onto the corridor, his eyes widening at the sight before him. Natasha was already waiting by her door, a smile playing on her lips as she caught sight of Sila. Her beauty was captivating, and he couldn't help but feel mesmerized.

"Wow, Natasha, you look stunning," Sila said, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "That dress suits you perfectly. I'm truly lucky to see you today," he said as he pulled her into his embrace for a tight hug.

The hug didn't last long, and Natasha broke free from him.

Natasha blushed at his words, a tinge of shyness evident in her eyes. "Thank you, Sila. You dressed up so nicely yourself," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity. She admired his actions. Sila was really a gentleman. "Shall we go?" Natasha spoke happily.

Sila nodded, reaching out to take her hand gently in his. "Of course, my dear. Allow me to help you with your luggage." He gestured towards the suitcases near the door.

With a grateful smile, Natasha handed Sila a small suitcase. Sila held the handle and pulled it effortlessly, his strength evident. "Don't worry about a thing. I've got it," he reassured her.

As they made their way down the hallway towards the elevator, Sila couldn't help but steal glances at Natasha. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and her smile illuminated the dimly lit corridor. They reached the elevator, and Sila carefully placed the suitcase down, his gaze fixed on Natasha.

"May I have the honor of helping you out, my lady?" Sila asked, extending his arm towards the open elevator.

Natasha looked at him and smiled," Stop it, you haven't stopped being crazy," she said as she pushed his hand away.

She then nodded, her face full of excitement. She gracefully took Sila's arm, allowing him to lead her into the elevator. Sila pressed the button for the ground floor, his touch gentle and loving. As the elevator went down, he leaned closer to Natasha, his voice filled with warmth.

"Natasha, today I am happy to see you. I can say that I always wanted to spend more time with you, exploring new experiences and creating beautiful memories together, but unfortunately for me, you are leaving."

Natasha's heart fluttered at his words, her hand tightening around his arm. "I will come back, Sila. Thank you for always being there for me."

As the elevator doors opened, Sila took Natasha's hand once again, guiding her towards the waiting car.

He then helped her into the car, closed the door and moved around the car towards the driver's seat. Natasha threw a few more and glanced outside, looking at the area around.

As the car started moving, Natasha seemed to have seen a familiar car through the side mirror, but she thought that it was her own imagination.
