Chapter 15: The Senzu Bean Surprise and a Budding Romance – Or, "My Girlfriend Can Move Things With Her Mind. I Can Make Unlimited Snacks. We're Basically Soulmates."

The fight against Ultron escalated. The metal menace, now residing in a body of vibranium and powered by the Mind Stone, was intent on humanity's extinction. The final confrontation was in Sokovia, a city already scarred by conflict, now poised to be flung into the sky by Ultron's twisted vision of "peace."

Adam was in the thick of it, feeling the immense pressure of the situation. This was no longer just about pranks and personal growth; this was about survival. He used his abilities strategically, his "King's Haki" disabling Ultron's drone army in droves, creating vast swaths of inert, unconscious robots that clattered to the ground like discarded toys. He deployed his "Structural Grasp," finding the weak points in Ultron's hastily constructed fortifications, causing sections of concrete to crumble and metal beams to buckle, creating pathways for the Avengers.

' This is it. The big one. The whole city is about to become a very dramatic meteor. And I'm stuck here, trying to make robots take a nap while simultaneously trying to prevent an entire country from becoming a crater. Multi-tasking, Adam, multi-tasking. '

He was constantly aware of Wanda and Pietro. They were fighting with a desperate fury, their powers raw and untamed. Adam used his "Mental Fortress" to shield himself from the chaotic psychic energy Wanda often emanated when stressed, allowing him to approach her without being overwhelmed. He kept an eye on her, a protective instinct overriding his usual sarcastic detachment.

During a particularly intense skirmish, a stray blast from an Ultron bot grazed Wanda's arm. She cried out, stumbling back, clutching her bleeding arm. Her powers flickered, momentarily faltering.

"Wanda!" Adam yelled, pushing through a wave of incoming drones. He unleashed a focused burst of King's Haki, sending them crashing down around her. He reached her side, kneeling down. "Are you okay? That looks nasty."

Wanda grit her teeth, her brow furrowed in pain. "It is… nothing." But her voice was strained.

' Nothing? Please. That's a deep cut. And she needs to be at full power right now. Time for the secret weapon. The magical bean of instant health! '

Just then, a system notification flashed in his mind. The sheer scale of the battle, the number of enemies incapacitated, the chaos averted – it had all added up.

[ SYSTEM MESSAGE: Plot Event: Battle of Sokovia (significant participation). GP earned: 1,000. ]

"Yes! Perfect timing!" Adam muttered, ignoring Wanda's confused look. He quickly tapped his inventory.

[ SYSTEM MESSAGE: Gacha Draw Tier: Rare Draw. Cost: 1,000 GP. ]

He hit the "Draw" button. The animation spun, and a new item materialized.

[ SYSTEM MESSAGE: [Rare Item] Infinite Senzu Bean Pouch (Dragon Ball Z) acquired. Recipient: Adam's Inventory. ]

He practically cheered. "YES! OH MY GOD, YES! This is exactly what we needed!"

He pulled out a small, intricately woven pouch. He opened it, revealing three perfect, green beans nestled inside. He carefully took one out, holding it up.

"Okay, Wanda, look at me," he said, his voice unusually serious. "This might look like a regular bean. It is not. This is a magical, super-healing, instant-energy bean. Don't ask me where I got it, the answer involves a weird old man and a flying cloud. Just trust me."

Wanda stared at the bean, then at Adam, her brow furrowed in a mixture of pain and disbelief. "What…?"

"Just eat it. Trust me," Adam urged, pressing the small bean into her hand. "It will make everything better. Instantly."

Wanda hesitated for a moment, then, seeing the genuine urgency and conviction in his eyes, she popped the bean into her mouth. She chewed, a look of surprise crossing her face.

And then, it happened. The color returned to her cheeks. Her grimace of pain vanished. The gash on her arm shimmered, the skin knitting itself back together in seconds, leaving no trace of injury. She flexed her arm, utterly bewildered.

"I… I am healed," she whispered, looking at Adam with wide, astonished eyes. "What was that?"

"A Senzu Bean, my dear Wanda," Adam grinned, feeling a surge of relief. "My go-to for instant health and energy. Think of it as a magical protein bar, but way better. You're welcome." He gestured at the pouch. "And I've got more. Three a day! Never worry about injuries again!"

Wanda stared at him, a myriad of emotions swirling in her eyes: shock, gratitude, wonder, and something else, something softer, deeper. She reached out, touching his cheek, her fingers surprisingly gentle.

"You… you are truly something else, Adam Stiels," she murmured, her voice husky.

' Oh, snap. She touched my face. This is not a drill, people! This is prime romance real estate! '

"Yeah, well, someone's gotta keep things interesting around here," Adam said, trying to sound casual, but his heart was hammering. He looked into her eyes, seeing not just the pain and the power, but a vulnerability, a flicker of something that resonated deeply within him.

The battle raged around them, but for a moment, the world narrowed to just the two of them. They were an unlikely pair: the sarcastic, reality-warping nerd and the powerful, emotionally raw witch. But in that moment, under the falling city of Sokovia, something shifted between them. A connection forged in chaos, cemented by trust, and deepened by a single, magical bean.

"We need to stop him," Wanda said, her voice stronger now, her eyes blazing with renewed determination, her powers flaring with increased intensity.

"Yeah. Let's show that tin can what happens when you mess with Earth. And with my… friends," Adam said, emphasizing the last word, and a small, private smile passed between them. He felt a profound sense of connection to her. The romance wasn't just budding; it was blossoming, right there on the battlefield.

Later, after the dust had settled, after Ultron was defeated and Sokovia was evacuated, Adam found himself sitting next to Wanda on the Quinjet ride back to Avengers Tower. The other Avengers were exhausted, talking in hushed tones about the cost of victory.

Wanda leaned her head on his shoulder, a silent gesture of comfort and trust. "Thank you, Adam," she whispered. "For… everything. For the bean. For seeing me."

Adam gently wrapped an arm around her, a rare moment of genuine seriousness from him. "Always, Wanda. Always." He looked out at the sunrise, a new day dawning. ' Yeah. My girlfriend can move things with her mind. I can make unlimited snacks and make people fall asleep. We're basically soulmates. This is going to be an interesting life. ' And with the Infinite Senzu Bean Pouch securely in his inventory, he knew they could face anything. Even more robots. Or bad coffee.
