Earth-6161 [May 2012]

Prison Bay 1, Helicarrier

–Natasha Romanoff–

She was collapsed on the ground, holding onto her stomach which had a stab wound, which Loki had inflicted on her from a distance, when Thor burst through the doors. She had to hold onto the piece of debris behind her once more to stop herself from skidding down the room because of the sudden failure of the engine.

With a grunt, she pulled herself up and immediately began applying pressure near the wound. She had already lost enough blood as is and she didn't want to meet Clint in this state, he would knock the shit out of her with ease.

She opened her eyes and had to stop herself from getting up because Loki was somehow out of the cage built for the Hulk and was actually fighting Thor right now, though nowhere near the intensity at which they could both fight.

"A..Agent Romanoff, are you there? I repeat, Agent Romanoff, are you there?" Her single comms unit crackled to life. She weakly lifted her blood stained finger to her ear, "Agent Romanoff here. Stab Wound. Lost too much blood already. Need medic." Was all she could do before her vision began to blur.

Things became even more hopeless when Loki managed to trick Thor into the cage. She winced as the sound of Thor hitting the glass did nothing but drive in the headache further. She couldn't even crawl away from it all, such was the angle of the ship right now. Oh god, she hoped they had someone stop Barton before he did more damage to the ship.

Another rage induced roar shook the entire carrier as Dr.Banner did his thing. Loki clearly enjoyed that because he smiled very widely when he heard the roar. She couldn't hear what they were saying but the next thing she saw was the prison being flushed tens of thousands of feet from the ground. She didn't even have the energy to lift her hand anymore, to tell Fury that Thor was in danger, as Loki spared her one glance before getting out of her vision.

The last thing she saw before her eyes closed, probably for good, was an orange blast from the corner of her vision before something was flung through the same hallway that Loki entered. She smiled at that, hopefully it was Loki this time.

–Tony Stark–

"Jarvis! Talk to me?" He finally corralled the Hulk into the evacuated zone of the carrier ship but it was clear to him. He could not do anything to the Hulk, nothing that would stick anyway. They needed Thor or Weber to do their magic on him. The suit was bunged up in some places but nothing that would impede functions or movements, but right now, he was the only thing standing or rather, floating between the Hulk and total ship failure.

"One of the engines has suffered catastrophic damage. The damage can be repaired since the engine has not yet gone fully offline, but certain parts of the blades would need to be cut down before giving the blades a push that should reach about 20% of their maximum speed." A series of schematics flashed on his screen as the suit idly dodged a particularly sharp nose section of a jet.

"Hmm. Seems doable. Jarvis, chances of immolation or being shredded?" He asked as he aimed the Repulsor at Hulk's eyes, which was the only way he could get under the green giant's skin since the rest of him was built like it was vibranium or something.

"In the double digits, sir. I would recommend waiting for about 17 minutes before another suit reaches the Helicarrier. Then, we can do–"

"No time, Jarvis. Barton is still on board. I just need someone to take care of Hulk for a bit. We can't even push him off the ledge or it would have been just so easy. Where is–"

"Thor has just been pushed off in one of the advanced prison pods and is currently dropping at an alarming rate."

"Divert the suit. Save Point Break, we need him."

"Already done, sir."

"And what about our resident water fairy?"

"Ms.Weber has not been spotted since the attack, sir."

He cursed as one of the pieces of debris clipped him on the shoulder, sending the shockwave even inside his body. The HUD showed that it was only bruised, not broken, which was a small mercy at the moment. Charging up the repulsors, he let loose all of the repulsor output he could spare and aimed at center mass, Jarvis doing the aiming so that Banner would swerve in the direction they wanted him to.

In the direction of the open hole in the side of the carrier. Unfortunately, things rarely go his way these days so the Hulk caught onto a ledge. THe repulsors were still hot and not ready to go but he forced the ones in his foot to activate, and sort of awkwardly stood on the ground, with his right leg aimed at the Hulk, before a repulsor hit the Hulk at the hand, which did nothing.

"Jarvis!" He shouted as the Hulk began pulling himself back in when the Captain himself jumped into the scene like a hero and threw his goddamned shield at the Hulk, which did nothing, as expected, but it ricochet around the room and hit the ledge, cutting it off from the ship's hull.

"Yes!" He cheered as the Hulk was finally thrown off the ship, which was not nice since the damage would be extensive to him but he knew that Dr.Banner would survive.

"Will he be fine? I mean, I read the files but I don't know if doing this was the right thing to do," The Captain stood beside him, huffing and puffing as he noted multiple scuff marks on his pristine uniform.

"He will be, he has to. Now, come on, we need to get the engine running before–" The entire ship began tilting dangerously to one side, even more so than the first time. Grabbing onto the Captain, he said, "Jarvis!"

"Sir, there has been another attack. Another engine has been shut down, completely. It will be impossible to start that engine while being mid air."

"So, we have to get that engine repaired then?"

"Yes, sir. The suit has THor in sight and should be able to reach the pod but breaking it is beyond the suit's capability, sir. Slowing it down is impossible as well due to the limited distance as well as the sheer weight of the pod."

His face twitched at the back to back bad news, "Well, Jarvis, all we can do at this point is try."

"Certainly, sir."

"Jarvis, locate Agent Barton for me." A red dot on the map with a path for flight appeared on his HUD as he began zipping through the mostly empty hallways and sometimes even through walls as he finally approached the deck and burst through the wall right behind the most annoying assailant on the ship.

Credit to the agent, he was just about to turn around with his hands on an arrow, according to Jarvis' predictions but fried as the repulsors were, they were still much faster than any regular human could ever be.

Hitting the agent center mass, he smashed the man on the opposite end of the wall while the Captain took out the small fry, finally knocking said man out. Letting him slide down to the surface, in front of a waiting Fury, he nodded and flew out of the room, grabbing Cap while doing so.

"Initiating simulations," Jarvis said while creating any and all the scenarios where this would work.

"God bless us all." He said when he saw the 35% chance of simple success, with no bodily damage. At Least the number of 70% with bodily damage meant that they should succeed, even if it came at the cost of some of his body.

Coming to the dock of the ship, he winced as he saw the damage done to the propellers. The engine was still up and running, according to Jarvis, he just needed to get the propellers going so it was not running on empty anymore.

"Captain, when I tell you to, I want you to pull the red lever, from the third most cabinet from your right. Did you get it, the red lever from the third cabinet from your right?" he emphasised for the elderly before dropping the man off at the blown off electrical hub right below the engine.

"Hey, I was just repeating it for the elderly. I know people your age have hearing problems sometimes," He quipped before flying back up, to get the engine up and running.

His suit stopped entirely in its tracks as he saw her.

Samantha Webers, absentee Avenger during the attack, floating right above the engine blades.

"Well, I guess we can add flight to the list of fantastical powers you have, Ms.Webers. Mind telling me where you were while people were dying here?" He couldn't help but let out some of the bitterness in his voice as he spoke to her.
