Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

West Blue, Spider Miles

A massacre was underway over the Ope Ope no Mi—the "Operation Fruit".

Snow blanketed the island as Doflamingo, standing at the center of it all, toyed with the heart-shaped Devil Fruit in his hand. His laughter rang coldly through the air.

"Corazon, tell me where Law is... or—"

He raised his arm skyward, his voice turning vicious.

"—everyone on this island dies because of you!"

Threads—countless white threads—erupted from him, stretching out like roots across the entire island. They pierced the sky and rained down like puppet strings. Those unfortunate enough to be touched lost control of their own limbs, forced into a frenzy of killing—friends, neighbors, even family.

Those untouched tried to flee, only to be sliced to pieces by the razor-sharp walls of the cage.

"Birdcage!"

The land turned into a crimson battlefield, blood soaking into snow and freezing into bloody glaciers. In the midst of the chaos, Corazon, already bleeding and half-buried in snow, watched helplessly.

"This... this can't be the end..."

He knew better than anyone—Doflamingo would never keep his word. But even so, the justice in his heart would not let him yield.

"Laaaaaaw...!"

His scream was carried away by the cold wind. The light in his eyes began to fade...

Suddenly, the wind died.

A violent, ancient fire erupted into the sky from the west of the island. For a moment, all movement ceased—snow stopped falling, the wind froze still.

The flames howled upward, consuming the sky in burning red.

"What the hell is that?!"

Doflamingo's Observation Haki blared with alarm. His body instinctively cloaked itself in Armament Haki—but it was too late.

Boom!!

The legendary Birdcage—indestructible, unbreakable—was ripped apart by the fire like paper in a furnace.

A wave of crimson fire split and rained down as a thousand skyfire petals, bathing the island in searing heat. The snow vaporized in moments. Blood and ice turned into glowing mist. Doflamingo, scorched and furious, staggered back.

"My fruit...!"

"Who the hell has this kind of power?!"

His trembling hand was empty—the Operation Fruit was gone.

From this point, everything collapsed: the Birdcage was destroyed, the navy was approaching, and now an unknown monster had arrived.

"Retreat! Donquixote Family, fall back!!"

Meanwhile, out at sea—

"Doflamingo acted faster than we expected," said Vice Admiral Tsuru, narrowing her eyes as she saw the pillar of flame.

"Advance! Be cautious—there may be unknown forces at play on the island."

Elsewhere on Spider Miles

In a scorched, isolated corner of the island, the wielder of the flames—Roya—stood calmly. He sheathed his blade, Ryūjin Jakka, as the Operation Fruit fell perfectly into his hand.

A smirk curled at the edge of his mouth.

"So this is my sign-in reward. Not bad at all."

📜 [Ding!]

System reward delivered: Ryūjin Jakka — the oldest and most powerful heat-type Zanpakutō. Initial release radiates spiritual pressure equal to Conqueror's Haki.

[Ding!]

Check-in at key locations from the original work grants extra rewards. Reminder: You must be within the designated proximity.

Roya's eyes sparkled. Famous locations? That meant there were more legendary rewards waiting—so long as he found the right spots.

A figure stumbled into view. A child in a tattered coat, wounded but alive.

Roya recognized him instantly.

Trafalgar D. Water Law.

The future Surgeon of Death. One of the next generation's most brilliant pirates. And right now—vulnerable.

Roya's fingers tightened around the Operation Fruit.

"What an interesting time to arrive in this world..."

….

Spider Miles, West Blue. The Birdcage collapsed into ash.

Law stood frozen, staring at the battlefield that had just turned silent. The air still carried the scorching remnants of the inferno that had incinerated Doflamingo's strings.

He had escaped under Corazon's cover, only to witness something that defied belief—Roya had sliced the Birdcage apart with a single flaming strike, turning the sky into a rain of cinders.

  This man… who is he?

Law's heart pounded in his chest. He clenched his fists. Corazon was still out there, injured, maybe worse. If anyone could save him—it was this man.

Trembling slightly but steeling himself, Law approached Roya, his breath visible in the cold, ash-laden air.

"Th-that… please, please help me!" he stammered, barely louder than a whisper.

But then, thinking of Corazon—his savior, his father, the man who had given him hope when the world turned its back—Law raised his voice with everything he had left in him.

"Please! Save Corazon! He's a good man—and he's everything to me!"

But Roya walked past him, his footsteps indifferent, eyes gazing toward the horizon.

Law's heart sank. But he gritted his teeth and ran after him again, tears stinging his eyes.

"Please—I'll do anything! Take everything I have! Just… help me save him! I can't lose him too!"

Something hit the top of his head with a soft thunk. Law looked down.

A heart-shaped fruit, its surface swirling with faint patterns of power, rolled to a stop at his feet.

  His eyes widened.

  The Ope Ope no Mi.

His hands shook as he picked it up, the fruit pulsing gently in his palms. He could feel its latent energy—life, death, miracles—waiting for a user.

From behind him, Roya's voice echoed, calm and distant:

  > "Use your own power to save the one who matters most."

Law clenched the fruit tightly. Tears streamed down his face, not from sadness, but from something more profound—resolve.

That day, Corazon had given his life to save Law by helping him escape.

Now, it was Law's turn to wield that same power—to change fate.

  > Corazon once brought hope to Law through the Ope Ope no Mi. Now, Law would use that very fruit to return the miracle to him.

He looked up, but Roya was already gone, his figure swallowed by the drifting smoke—as if he had never been there at all.

  But Law would remember.

And from that moment on, he swore to follow that man's path, because…

  > Without him, he would've lost the person he loved most.
