Chapter 2

In the morning, the twins were greeted by rays of sunlight coming in from the window. They were both lying on their sides, facing each other. Their free arms hugging each other.

Rae's eyes fluttered open first. She watched Mae for a minute and started gently blowing on her face. This was her favorite way to wake her sister up. At first it was the softest of breaths, gradually increasing to the point Mae's nose started to tickle and she came awake with a smile.

(Good morning Mae) Mae smiled as she heard Rae's voice in her mind. Their special bond allowed them to send thoughts to each other and even enter each other's minds.

"I smell pancakes!" Mae yelled.

They both got dressed and ran downstairs, their mom made the best chocolate chip pancakes.

They got to the table and sat down at their spot. They had a small bench that they shared because they always sat as close as possible to each other.

""Good morning Lily!"" The twins said in unison. Since they could share their thoughts, speaking in unison was easy for them and they loved to do it. A lot of times they didn't even mean to. If they let their minds wander and connect, they would simply start speaking at the same time and wouldn't even realize it.

"Good morning Rae and Mae." Lily said sleepily. It was clear she was still waking up. She slowly pulled out her usually chair at the table and sat down.

Lily is 8 years old and has the same porcelain white skin as their sisters. Her face is similar, but younger looking. She is roughly 6 inches shorter than them. And where the twins are ever so slightly chubby in their tummy, Lily is slender, with a lean and flat tummy. Where the twins have small and petite breasts, Lily has none. Completely flat. "Morning mom." Lily said, still waking up.

Luna was 27, and yes she had the twins when she was 14. She is fit and slender. You can tell she is very active, she is the definition of toned. She is 5'7" and has the family trait of pearl white skin. Her waist and tummy are slim. Her breasts are medium size. They look correct for her slim body. Her hair is in stark contrast to her skin, it is midnight black.

"I made lots so eat up."

Luna started placing pancakes on each of their plates she had already set out. She then passed around the syrup.

After eating 4 pancakes each, the twins are finally full.

The twins look at each other and share a thought.

Luna's eyes went wide. She sat shocked for a minute before regaining her composure. "I didn't think you two would ask about that for a few more years, but I guess the time flies and you are already that age."

Lily is still eating her second pancake and isn't paying much attention to the conversation. She is still clearly very tired.

That afternoon, Lily was playing in her room and the twins were in the living room playing a game. Luna walked in and sat down on the couch.

"Our nature?" Mae said inquisitively.

They all shared a moment together, thinking about Awilix and why she would have to leave.
