Xayax smiled, *"Our memory crystal. It can reach the depths of your mind. Would you... want to meet your mother again?"*

The crystal technology allowed Ascendant to communicate with the image of her dead mother. That scent, that voice, that affection - everything seemed so real.
*"Daughter, I am satisfied to see you happy,"* the mother's image said, *"Now let me go... live your new life to the fullest."*
Ascendant let go of the crystal, crying. It was a true farewell... this time, forever.
**Chapter 19: A New Purpose**
The incident changed Ascendant. She created the "Museum of Two Peoples" on Xenovia - a place where Earthlings could preserve memories of their loved ones.
Zyax understood her pain. One night he took Ascendant to the planet's special "healing spring," the water of which healed wounds of the soul. As soon as Ascendant touched the water, all the sadness was washed away from her face.
*"Our love is your true home,"* said Xyax, *"and home... can never hurt."*
**Chapter 20: For Eternity**
Today Ascendant and Zyax have become ambassadors of love throughout the galaxy. They help lovers who are separated by society, giving wings to dreams that seem impossible.
Sometimes a couple on earth sees two stars shining together in the night sky - one blue, one golden - and suddenly a strange warmth fills their hearts.
