Prologue

"Damn it..."

Until just a few days ago, I was a citizen of the Republic of Korea.

But now, I was not.

My last memory was simply drinking heavily with my friends and ending up smashing my head on the street.

And then, I found myself in a world similar to the one I knew, yet different.

"Seriously... damn it... what kind of messed up situation is this..."

Clunk- clunk-

The car shakes.

With it, my body in the back slightly lifted into the air and then came down.

I had no idea where I was headed.

A windowless cargo compartment attached to the back of the car.

The faint sunlight coming through the crack in the door was just barely enough to look around.

"Like a beggar... an illegal immigrant..."

Here, I was not a citizen of the Republic of Korea.

To be precise, the country called the Republic of Korea itself did not exist.

I couldn't even hear the names of countries like the United States or Japan, which are impossible not to know.

So, no matter how much I showed my ID, I was treated as a suspicious person and investigated.

And I was being transported to an unknown place like this.

There was only one thing I knew.

From now on, I would be examined at the place I was going, and if I passed there, I would be recognized as a citizen.

That was the only thing.

Clunk- screeeeech-

Soon, the car stopped.

And I heard the sound of someone getting out of the driver's seat and approaching the cargo compartment.

"We've arrived, so get out now."

With the warm voice of the uncle who had driven me here, the door opened.

He seemed familiar with this situation and, as soon as I got out of the car, immediately returned to the driver's seat.

Vroooom-

I heard the sound of the car leaving from behind.

But I had no time to care about that.

Because a huge space surrounded by iron walls caught my eyes.

"Huh...? Human ranch...?"

There was a sign hanging above what looked like the entrance.

[Welcome to the human ranch for humanity!]

I couldn't help but let out a dumbfounded sound at the contradictory sentence.
