Chapter 1 - Chapter:1 Star Born

Samuel sighed deeply, sitting in the depths of a broken world. Dead bodies surrounded him.

The rays of the twin suns bounced off his glasses, causing his deep blue eyes to shimmer.

"Tsk. How long do you think I could make it,Brother?"

He spoke to the air or what equivalent of air is in this planet, reminiscing. A scowl formed on his face. He looked deeply hurt—and troubled.

Slowly, he stood up,examining the lifeless bodies strewn across the ground.

He focused on one of them, then began to drag it toward a sleek spaceship. Its obsidian wings reflected the blinding sunlight of the twin suns. The vessel was small—beautiful, but deadly.

Sam paused, examining the ship. Then, closing his eyes for a moment, he opened a small body container inside. Carefully, he placed the corpse inside.

He hesitated. Then he took a small badge from the man's body, the word Aesir etched on its surface

He paused,a bit shocked by the symbol,

"Now why would this be here?"

Samuel though a bit

A slight chuckle then escaped his mouth

"Oh my looks like I got an excuse~hehe"

A smile crept on Samuel's lips

He then took the corpses's gun—a strange symbol was on it too. Samuel sealed the container shut.A smile played on his lips

He called the elevator down. As it arrived, he stepped onto it, rising toward the main entrance of the ship.

There, he paused again, staring up at the twin stars above. His eyes were distant.

"Well this is about to get interesting"

With a subtle nudge to his glasses, he entered the ship.

Engines roared to life. A destination was set.

He jumped to light speed.

"Syr! You wouldn't believe it—a damn Navy warship showed up at a Black Gate-claimed system! I saw it with my own two eyes!"

The man's shout cut through the already noisy station, though few paid him any mind.

"Heh, of course, being the man I am, I took down some ace pilots while I was at it!" he bragged, voice still loud

"Ace pilots?" Syr chuckled.

"Derrick, you're a good pilot, but not that good," the blonde-haired man said. His chiseled face and rough voice gave the air of a seasoned veteran.

"Still… the Navy showing up in a Black Gate-owned system is concerning, to say the least."Syr continued, siping some liquid that resembled coffee

"Right? I mean, it's been decades since a Republic military ship entered Black Gate territory—let alone a Navy warship!" Derrick exclaimed.

But Syr didn't respond. The station had suddenly gone silent.

A man entered.

Dark armor. Round glasses glinting under artificial lights.

His gaze—blue, distant—cut through the crowd like a blade.

"Who the hell is that guy?" Derrick whispered, not wanting to disturb the eerie quiet.

"Oh dear, Derrick… your lack of knowledge truly astounds me," Syr said, almost pitying him.

"Damn it, Syr, just say it!" Derrick replied, his voice edged with frustration.

Syr sighed.

"That's Kravan. Real name—Samuel Corvic. Heard he was a madman. Took out an entire armada on his own… and destroyed his home planet. He's also a top assassin."

"Huh?! That sounds like complete bullshit!" Derrick scoffed, clearly not buying it.

"Believe me," Syr replied, "this guy's terrifying. I've seen some of his work myself.

Though… the whole 'destroying a planet and defeating an armada' might be exaggerated."

The station remained hushed—only murmurs filled the space.

"Kravan. It's nice to see you again," a bulky man in a suit said, stepping forward.

A bounty casket floated behind him.

"Finished a mission, I see. The Master will be more than pleased," the bulky man said, eyeing the casket.

"Yeah… Speaking of the Master, can I meet with him real quick?" Samuel asked with a smile. But his eyes remained cold—it made the smile feel… strange

"Of course," the bulky man nodded.

————

In a dark, massive room, a figure towered over Samuel with ease. The Master didn't look human at all.

"Ahh… if it isn't my top assassin," the Master's voice boomed across the room.

"What brings you here, Kravan?" he asked, amused.

Samuel stepped forward slowly. His posture straight. Movements calm.

Face friendly. A smile playing on his lips.

With a soft voice, he said,

"I'm leaving the Guild."

"Pardon?" the Master asked, a hint of confusion in his tone.

"Oh, also—oh also could you please kill your self."Samuel said with a smile

The Master chuckled"Now why would I do that?"The Master responded

Sam took out a gun,"Because you pissed me off"

The master paused as

"Oh dear Kravan, no bullets made by the Guild can harm me."

"Heh… yeah, no. These aren't from the Guild."

Samuel pulled the trigger.
