The story takes place with the MC always being happy with his childhood friend from the past. But one day, she goes missing. He tries to find her in every place - but he can't find her.
The whole story is about him looking for her, and slowly, he starts to see the signs of her feelings for him. He misses her for many years. Whenever he visits the places where they used to play games or talk, he remembers the way she used to look at him - like she was in love with him.
He searches for her in seven places. In each one, her memory shows up - in the way she laughed, talked, or smiled. He realizes she was always trying to hide her feelings whenever he looked at her, but played it off like it was nothing. And now, after all this time, he wonders:
"Did she always love me? Was I just a fool who didn't see it?"
Unable to find her, he walks home alone. The memories hit harder - the two of them laughing, smiling, being happy. He breaks down in tears and says:
"How am I such a fool? I ignored her... I never asked her how she truly felt."
He finally reaches his home, opens the door - and boom - he finds her there, standing with his family, celebrating his birthday.
She smiles brightly and says:
"Sorry I was gone the whole day. I was preparing for your birthday."
He hugs her tightly, crying. She looks at him, confused.
"What's wrong? Don't you like your surprise?"
He shakes his head and says softly:
"I'm not sad about my birthday. I'm sad because I noticed your feelings too late."
"It took me years to realize it."
She blushes, standing shyly.
"What are you talking about? You're not making sense."
He gently places a hand on her face, looking into her eyes.
"Then why don't you look at me?"
Without saying another word, she hugs him tight and says:
"Finally, you idiot. Took you long enough to notice my feelings for you."
He smiles, teary-eyed.
"At least... we got each other."
The whole family starts crying. The two of them look at each other and laugh, saying:
"We really made a whole scene, didn't we?"
Later, after some time passes, he cuts his cake. He walks over, smiling, and offers her a piece.
"Open your mouth."
She giggles and eats the cake.
"It's delicious."
Then she cuts a piece for him.
"Your turn - open your mouth."
Just as she's about to feed him, the whole family suddenly yells:
"Don't forget about us - we're still here, you know!"
Both of them freeze, embarrassed. The whole family bursts into laughter - and they laugh too, together with everyone.
