The girl screams at me. I look into the shattered mirror. I'm a demon. I shake my head "hey little one. I'm trying to get you to...humans" the word tasted weird in my mouth "they'll patch you right up" i smile and pick her up walking to the door daring the monster to attack. I manage to get the child out.
The ones who once nurtured me is against me.
They scream and fire and I hiss and the child hugs me. "run little one go home" the child nods and runs to the humans and i get shot on my left sholder. I hide in the doorway panting. I look at my hands which are black and clawed. I shake my head tears forming. They'll be here soon. I get up shakily and find the demon there grinning "see how humans are yet?" the cold male voice rasped I shake my head and lunge out of his path as he walks toward me I run down the stairs and hiss as i twist my ankle. "fucking hell" my clawed hand scratched the wall as i got up. I flinch as the demon ends up infront of me checking my ankle "that's gotta hurt little one" he rasps.
I could only watch as the demon smoothly rubs my ankle. "they'll be here soon. To kill" I whisper and the demon only nods. I shake my head "idiot" i whisper coldly "the only idiot is the one who hurt you" I raise a brow "no one hurt me" "mentally they have" I shudder and hiss. "you keep hissing" he mutters as he wraps my ankle in clothing. His clothing. "i shot you. Why are you helping me?" "you needed help." "I shot you." and then he laughed "you wanted to protect the child and you did and hurting the one that made the child cry was soothing to the child herself." I nod sadly.
The demon helps me outside in just the right time because the whole place goes on fire. I shiver. That was cold blooded murder. I shake my head as the Demon pulls me away from the fire "the humans died by me." "why?" the demon shakes his head "i was searching for my soulmate when someone got in the way and i attacked." I nodded. I then walked beside him to the woods. "never been here before?" "not at all" i whispered. The demon laughs. I shiver "why do you keep shivering? Are you cold?" I shake my head. "i just shiver sometimes"
"Call me Anton" I nod and continue walking. I then groan as we come to a stop and the demon. No Anton put me down onto the floor and i leaned on him. Anton hugged me close. "you're warm" he whispered but i had my eyes closed so he thought i was asleep when i was really trying to get answers. Anton picked me up and whispered "i'd let the world burn for you so please don't run"
I wait from him to stop talking but he doesn't stop muttering prayers and good words of peace of mind. I listen carefully and shudder as we hit a cold cave and i feel a jacket over me and i smiles and mutter my thanks. The demon says nothing. I fall asleep letting him take me futher into the cave.
I wake up cold. Anton watches me as i sit up. "you good?" I nod sleepily. Anton is my best friend now we'd been living together for a while now. I smile getting up and i watch the fire as Anton does paperwork while on the phone to his girlfriend. I leave the room to head out to my garden when i hear a gunshot. Anton. He's been killed. There is a guard there holding a gun. He's thin, pale. He's easily unwell.
