Chapter 9: Dates with Death
'Thinking'

"Talking"
- Morning -
-Sora Sakai -
After waking up in bed with Juuichi's massive body underneath me, we had a morning quickie before reluctantly getting out of bed and heading back into the show to wash off all the sweat.
Leveled Up - Passive:
[Sexual Experience] (Passive) - Lvl. 11 (Novice)
After drying ourselves, I kiss her goodbye before we go off to do our own things, reminding myself to pay extra attention to those pouty lips of hers next time. Before pushing those thoughts aside as I try to find out where Ichi is at, finding her moments later waiting for me in the kitchen with a smile on her beautiful face.
"Have a good night with Juuichi?" She asks with a knowing smile, taking in the slight swelling of my lips from the heated kiss earlier and the hickeys on my neck that are already healing.
"I did, actually. Maybe next time we could even have it be you and me." I grin, getting a soft laugh from her as she passes over a plate of eggs and fruits. We both know it's an eventually at this point that we'll end up in bed together, but the constant teasing and promise of it makes it almost too much fun to ruin it by jumping into bed too quickly.
"That aside, I need to head into town and buy some new clothes for both my date and going forward." I inform her, digging into my breakfast as we go over today's plans. "While I'm gone, make sure everyone is ready in case I need to call on you all at a moment's notice. There's no telling how Raynare plans to attack me, and I might need you all if she decides to bring her comrades with her."
"Of course, Master." Ichi replies, "Are you sure you don't want Ni or San following you on this 'date'? Even I could tail you in case the summoning takes too long."
There's more than a small bit of worry in her tone, and as she reaches her hand across the island countertop I'm sitting at to lay her hand on top of mine, I smile as I squeeze it affectionately. "I know that you're worried, Ichi. But it's possible that Raynare or one of the others might sense you, and who knows how they might react to your presence."
"If her plan goes the same way I think it will, it'll involve us moving away from the public before she makes her move, and that's much easier to manage than something happening in the middle of a crowded area." I sigh, finishing my breakfast before standing up to pull Ichi into a hug. One that she eagerly returns as her arms wrap around my shoulders while mine rest on her thin waist. "We need to be careful from now on. The Devils no doubt already know what's going to happen today, and we can't have them poking around asking more questions than we're prepared to handle."
Today is the start of my first introduction into the supernatural world, and the fact that it begins with a battle doesn't bode well. My power isn't anywhere close to being something that would make others hesitate in their plans, and I need to be careful about revealing what I can do, because there will undoubtably be questions regarding my powers and summons.
I won't ever be revealing the existence of the Gamer System, but I may have to come up with believable lies and half-truths to explain some of the things I can do.
The easiest one will probably be the Dungeon, since there's dozens of pocket dimensions and Sacred Gears alone that can mimic it to a degree, just without the experience and loot portions. But the summons themselves will be harder to explain, since they're constructs created from my own power.
Mentally shrugging, I share a kiss with Ichi before stepping out into the courtyard, taking in the Servants, Oni, and Komainu moving about the place before trying out my new teleportation technique. "[Summon: Teleportation Gate]."
Similarly to when I enter the Dungeon, a golden magic circle appears at my feet before I disappear, reappearing moments later in a small alleyway within Kuoh.
Checking myself over to make sure everything worked right, I breathe out a sigh as I find everything where it should be. Immensely happy to no longer need to walk to and from my house, I move out of the alley and into the main street, heading towards the nearest clothing store.
Grabbing a few items, I go for a basic pair of navy-blue slacks and a white button-up with a black jacket for the upcoming 'date'. Nothing too fancy, but also not as simple as jeans and a t-shirt. It's not like this is actually a real date after all, so there isn't much need to impress. I've just never been the biggest fan of dressing casual, prefering the look and feel of nicer clothes.
Taking the time to stop off and pick up some all-black male kimonos to go with the one I got from the dungeon, I remind myself to try out my [Artificer] skills on them later to see if I can't improve upon their defensive capabilities.
With everything purchased using the money I got from the Dungeon, I throw it all into my inventory before making my way to the mall where I'm supposed to meet Raynare.
My Spirits have already caught sight of her and the other Fallen leaving the abandoned church; the blonde one going towards Issei's location for their own date, that I'll have some of my Spirits keep an eye on, while the lone male Fallen apparently chooses to stay behind and watch over their base, since he doesn't leave with the others. And I have one of my Spirits keep an eye on the building, just in case he leaves.
What's worrying though, is that Raynare and Kalawarner aren't splitting up, and are both flying towards the meeting spot together.
Fuck.
- Kuoh Mall -
It's not long after I arrive at the mall that the Fallen show up, their presence immediately noticeable as nearly every male's eye in the area turns to them. Even in their younger appearances, there's no denying the seductive beauty of Fallen women. But they don't seem to care about the attention, as their eyes immediately turn in my direction before sharing a worried glance between themselves. '[Observe].'

Good, they haven't grown any stronger. Means I shouldn't have any problems fighting them both now that I'm Level 25. And by their thoughts, I think they know it too.
As they approach, I momentarily let my eyes roam over their forms; taking in the black sundress Raynare was wearing, and the maroon sweater and black jeans that Kalawarner had on.
Their noticeable curves that nearly rival Rias and Akeno's own catching my eye, before fixing a smile on my face as I wave. "Hey there, Yuuma."
"Sora!" Raynare calls out, waving back with one hand as the other grabs Kalawarner's hand and pulls her over to me, getting an amused eye-roll from the bluenette. If I hadn't known who they really were, I would have thought the two actually were normal girls from their performance. "Sorry we're late, it took longer than we thought to get ready."
Motioning to Kalawarner, Raynare introduces us. "Sora, this is my best friend Kala. Kala, this is the boy I was telling you about earlier."

"Sorry to barge in on your date like this," Kalawarner replies, smiling at me as nudges her bestfriend/lover playfully. "Yuuma here kept going on and on about you, and I just had to come along and meet you for myself. You must really be something special to get her so excited."
Watching Raynare blush, I mentally tip my hat to their charade as I let out a chuckle, "That's alright. How could I be upset, when I now get the chance to spend the day with not one, but two beautiful girls?"
+8 Affection with Raynare… Affection: 14 | Obedience: 0
+8 Affection with Kalawarner… Affection: 11 | Obedience: 0
They're both perverts, huh? I guess that makes sense with Raynare's bondage-like clothing that she wears in her regular form. It'll be even easier to get their Affection and Obedience scores up now with +8 every time.
Chuckling, Raynare replies, "Exactly! Who can say no to us?" Wrapping her arm around Kalawarner, she practically smushes their faces together, noticeably pressing their large chests together that had a good amount of cleavage showing.
"I certainly won't, the more the merrier." I motion towards the mall. "After you, girls."
"Hai!" "Hai!"
It was a strangely surreal experience to be going on a date to the mall with not just any two girls, but two that are Fallen as well. Everywhere we went, every guy's eyes followed us as they ogled Raynare and Kalawarner's bodies lustfully, at time not even bothering to hide what they were doing.
But to Fallen's credit, the girls never once let it bother them or get in the way of our 'date' as went from shop to shop checking out what they had and having a surprisingly fun time doing it. While Kalawarner was much more cheerful and energetic of the two, Raynare was easily the funnier one with some of the comments and jokes she made throughout the date, many of which were made at Kalawarner's expense.
"…and then she fell right into the pond, ending up soaked from head to toe." Raynare teases, smirking at the blushing Kalawarner as I laugh along. "Watching her flail around as she tried to swim, only to realize that the pond came up just to her knees was hilarious."
"Was not!" Kalawarner replies with a huff.
"Was too!"
"Was not!" "Was too!"…
"Ladies, ladies!" I butt in, chuckling as they both realize what they had been doing and blush prettily. "How about we cool ourselves off with a drink? There's a café nearby that I saw on our way in, it'll be my treat."
Raynare and Kalawarner glance at each other before smiling, "If it's on him…"

Quickly wrapping their arms around my own, and none to subtly pressing their breasts against my arm as they start to pull me towards the café, moving through the mall's crowds with ease as we reach the place in minutes. After placing our orders, I get us a small table while the girls take the chance to use the restroom.
With a free moment to myself, I notice that it's starting to get dark outside and connect my sight with that of the Spirits watching over Issei's date, wondering how things were progressing with his own 'date' as I take a few sips of my drink.
Everything seemed to go the same as it did in the anime, with Issei having taken Mittelt on a relatively simple date that ended with them standing beside the fountain of Kuoh Park. Watching as Mittelt asks him to die, I personally think that he might actually deserve a Light Spear to the gut for how obviously gross he had been in leering at her body the entire date. Even with Mittelt being less curvy than Raynare, it still hadn't stopped Issei was perving on her with no subtlety whatsoever.
And that's when things didn't go the same.
In the anime, Raynare had shoved her Light Spear into his gut with a sadistic grin after her date with Issei. But Mittelt? She shoved it through his head with a bloodthirsty smile on her face.
I froze mid-sip at the sudden increase in violence, not having expected to see Issei's head with a massive hole where his face used to be. And while the gothic loli laughed sadistically as she flew away, I still hadn't moved a muscle as I watched through my Spirit's eyes when a glowing red magic circle appeared next to Issei's dead body.
As Rias herself stepped out of the summoning circle, she too couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at the lifeless pervert's body.
Watching a tear roll down her cheek, I realize a very important fact as she quickly used her Power of Destruction to get rid of his body; the black energy casting an eerie glow over the area as it disintegrates flesh and bone in a way that my Holy Swords never could.
The Evil Pieces can fix a lot in order to resurrect someone…but they can't do shit when that someone is missing most of their head.
Uh-oh! That wasn't supposed to happen.
'What the fuck is going to happen now?' I think furiously, disconnecting my sight from my Spirit's as I stare blankly ahead, setting my drink down to rub my forehead.
Rias just lost out on her one chance to defeat Riser, and now she'll be even more desperate to find a way out. Which means she'll come looking for me, and with the Game having put my home's address on my enrollment forms, Rias will know exactly where to find me.
Yes, the [Gamer Home Barrier] can protect me, but it'll also trap me inside of it since I really have nowhere else to teleport to that the Devils can't reach me.
I…I haven't even thought about what I can do against Riser's regeneration.
And I know I'll have to fight him now. Because if she's desperate enough to come to me for help, then I can be certain that her sis-con of an older brother will come snooping around if I turn her away. And if there's anyone who could force me into fighting Riser, it's Mr. Super-Class Devil.
Could my Holy Swords work against Riser? Could Excalibur Ruler? They're really all I've got to fight him with besides my summons…and I doubt they'll just let me use a fragment of a world-renown Holy Sword like Excalibur Ruler against a High-Class Devil that's a member of a Pillar House. 'Fuck!'
What are we gonna do?
'I honestly don't know, Gaia.' I sigh, noticing Raynare and Kalawarner walking back over to the table, plastering a fake smile on to hide my current mood. It's a struggle to keep up the same cheer I had before as I make small talk with the Fallen, most of my focus centered on how I can recover this situation.
Eventually the conversation starts to die down and we leave the café once it's dark outside, moving away from the area with the girls now taking the lead as they direct me towards an empty parking lot not far from the mall. It doesn't take a genius to know that they're planning on making this the spot where they're going to kill me.
"Hey, Sora?" Raynare speaks up, stopping underneath one of the few light poles scattered around the parking lot. "Can I ask you something?" At her words, Kalawarner's body language goes from care-free to on-guard as her currently-younger face loses its smile.
Playing along as I mentally prepare myself for a fight, I ask, "What's that?"
As if wrestling with herself, Raynare's mouth opens and closes slightly before eventually sighing as her shoulders slump. "W-….Will you help us?"
…What?
…I'm confused?
Blinking, it takes me a second to process her words, "With what?"
"With this," Raynare replies, and suddenly her and Kalawarner's clothes shift as their bodies transform back into their older forms.
The black leather bondage bra and thong Raynare wears, combined with the slutty maroon secretary-style suit jacket and matching mini-skirt Kalawarner seems to have painted on makes for an incredible view. Their styles definitely stick out like a sore thumb, but there's no denying how affective they are in adding to their already seductive features.
Although the most noticeable things are the two coal-black feathered wings coming out of their backs; the light coming from the pole causing them to cast long shadows over the parking lot. Had I been a typical human with no knowledge of what was going on, the sight would have been terrifying.
Instead, it's only made me even more confused.
"So, you already know that we're Fallen Angels." Raynare mutters, noticing my lack of surprise at the wings and the change in their appearances. "That makes things easier, I guess…"
Seeing my confusion, she explains. "We know that you have a Sacred Gear, and that you're growing stronger at an unbelievable rate, which is why we're asking for your help. I'm not sure how you're doing it, but your now stronger than the two of us, so there's no point in trying to go through with our orders."
"There's no easy way to say this, but we were ordered to kill you by our superiors." Kalawarner chimes in, drawing my attention as she averts her eyes awkwardly. "We obviously aren't going to go through with it now, but that's why I originally asked you out on a date in the first place. So…I guess what we're trying to say is…we're sorry."
O-kay. That's…different.
Maybe I can work with this?
"I mean, since you both aren't planning to go through with it, I guess it's not a big deal what you originally were ordered to do. So, apology accepted?" I shrug, noticing their faces brighten at my words. "Honestly, this has been a fun date for me, so it's not like it was all a waste. But I'm not sure exactly what you need my help with?"

Good. I need to get their numbers up, and brushing off their plans to kill me seems to do the trick.
Was I upset at them? Not really, and moving past it might open up some new possibilities that I haven't thought about. Like if I can get some of the Fallen on my side, maybe I can use that as protection against the Devils and potentially live through whatever plans they're coming up with now that Issei's dead.
"We need your help to stop our team and get in contact our superiors to figure out how to stop this." Raynare explains, glad that I'm not upset with them over their original plans. "Our team has never been assigned to kill Sacred Gear users before, and this sudden change in our orders isn't what we signed up for. We've only ever observed Sacred Gear users and taken note on their abilities, not…not this!"
"That still doesn't explain how I can help you."
"First, we need to stop the others in our group from killing any more Sacred Gear users." She frowns, sharing a knowing glance with Kalawarner before continuing. "That's likely to be the difficult part, since Mittelt and Dohnaseek actually enjoy the change in our orders and were personally chosen by Lord Kokabiel himself to be on our team. While they're not as strong as I am, and are slightly stronger than Kala, they do have more experience than both of us in the field. And they're far more ruthless."
"Yeeeaahh, that's gonna be a problem." I reply as I rub the back of my neck awkwardly. "Because I had eyes on Mittelt and her target earlier, and she's already killed him."
"Shit." Kalawarner curses, "That's not good. She's likely already back at our base with Dohnaseek waiting for us to return, and no-doubt wondering what's taking us so long."
"Which means we'll need to move fast." I surmise.
Honestly, I'm not too sure how to go about any of this. I've never actually killed someone before, only Skeletons and Zombies in the Dungeon, but this is entirely different.
Could I actually do it? Could I kill someone in cold blood? I don't know, but I'll have to try. Especially in this Universe where enemies who you don't kill right away, typically find some way of coming back and making you regret sparing them.
"Are you both able to teleport yourselves there?" I ask, getting two negative shakes of the head. "Then step closer to me and I can teleport us all there."
As they both move closer, I try not to stare too much at their seductive bodies that bounce with each step, and the very noticeable cleavage they're showing off with their outfits. Though, by the knowing smirk and wink Kalawarner gives me, I obviously wasn't very subtle about it. "See something you like, handsome?"
"I do. Very much, in fact." I reply, getting a pleased smile from them both before letting out a sigh. "But that can wait."
Both Raynare and Kalawarner nod as their faces get serious, preparing themselves for the fight ahead. And before taking us there, I send a mental command to more of my Spirits to check the area around the Fallen's base to make sure no one is watching.
After making sure it's all clear, and that Mittelt and Dohnaseek haven't left yet, I quickly teleport the three of us there. '[Summon: Teleportation Gate].'
- Abandoned Church -
-Dohnaseek -
Scowling as he paced back and forth inside the church, Dohnaseek grabbed one of the broken crucifixes lying about and chucked it across the room to shatter against the stone wall. "Where the fuck are they?!"
"How should I know? They'll be here soon enough…" Mittelt scowled, glaring at him from her seated spot in one of the broken church pews. "And would you stop pacing! It's giving me a headache."
Throwing his own glare back at the blonde midget, he ignored her complaint and continued to pace back and forth, muttering angrily to himself. "It shouldn't take this fucking long to kill one little brat. As long as he's dead, it doesn't matter if we do it in broad daylight or not. This whole plan of going on dates is dumb as shit."
Where Raynare had come up with this whole plan he didn't know. What he did know is that he hated it, and wanted nothing more than to tell that self-righteous upstart where to shove it. If it wasn't for the fact that she was stronger than him, Dohnaseek would have already told her to fuck off and continued doing things his way.
Their group usually preferred to travel in pairs, with him and Mittelt usually arriving before the other two did and starting things off their way before Raynare and Kalawarner came in to shut their fun down.
After all, it's because of him and Mittelt that there were so many people killed and left in public places to begin with.
Nothing worked better to scare the local population like a couple of dead bodies left out in broad daylight, no matter how hard the local Devils tried to cover things up. 'Feh, idiots just don't understand that this is our territory now. But once Lord Kokabiel arrives, things will change around here.'
Rolling her eyes at Dohnaseek's muttering, Mittelt scoffed as she returned to cleaning off the blood that had splattered on her nails. While it was fun to see the look on the perverted idiot's face when she killed him, she would rather not have his blood anywhere on her. 'That cockroach couldn't even die properly. How dare he ruin my nails!'
Suddenly, a golden glow shined through the broken windows from outside, drawing both of their attention.
"What the fuck?" Dohnaseek spat, "I thought this was supposed to be Devil territory. Why is Heaven here?" Not only does he have to suffer through Raynare's leadership, but now they had to deal with the uptight Angels? Could this day get any worse!
If there was one thing that could piss off Fallen more than Devils and Humans, it was Angels.
Most Fallen had abandoned Heaven and fell after the Biblical God's death, and now saw any Angels who stayed as ignorant or helpless for continuing to follow their dead Father's orders. The Grigori, the Fallen's haphazard government, was split between those who fell before their Father's death and those that fell after.
Those that fell before; namely Azazel, Kokabiel, and the other leaders, had fallen for giving in to their sins, but still held love for their Father.
Whereas most of those that fell after God's death had done so out of spite, proclaiming him to be a fraud since an 'all-powerful god' shouldn't have been capable of dying in the first place. Their image of him as an immortal, all-powerful, divine being was irrevocably shattered; and had caused major backlash amongst the rank-and-file Angels that lead to a massive falling.
"Oi! You fucking white-winged bastards, this is our church now!" Dohnaseek barked out, stomping over to the front doors before he kicked them open. "If you're looking for a fight, then you'll fucking get on-…What the fuck?"
- Moments Earlier -
-Sora Sakai -
Appearing outside of the abandoned church, I quickly swap out my current clothes for the [Black Kimono]; figuring it best to add that little bit of extra protection. At my side, Raynare gave a whistle as she and Kalawarner take in my new appearance.
"Well, someone certainly cleans up nice." Raynare teases as her violet eyes rake over my looks, a small pink tongue poking out of plump lips to wet them, drawing my attention to her mouth as it moves. "Makes a girl wonder what else you haven't showed us."

Chuckling at their stares, I focus instead on the sound a male's voice shouting at us from inside the building. "I'll show you later, right now it looks like the others noticed us." Sure enough, as soon as I finished speaking the church doors were kicked open. '[Observe].'

"If you're looking for a fight, then you'll fucking get on-…What the fuck?" Dohnaseek pauses in his tracks, his tirade cut off mid-sentence as he stares at us. "The fuck are you two doing with the target?"
Seeing Mittelt come out of the Church to find out what's going on, Raynare speaks to them both. "Change of plans you guys…we're putting our mission on hold until I can get in contact with Lord Azazel and find out what the hell is going on. I don't know why Lord Kokabiel would give us these orders, but this isn't something Lord Azazel will approve of."
Instead of nodding, Dohnaseek and Mittelt glance at each other before they burst out laughing.
"HAHAHA! Y-You idiots think Lord Azazel has anything to do with this?" Dohnaseek guffaws, clutching his stomach as Mittelt giggles unpleasantly next to him. "Lord Kokabiel's the one calling the shots now, and it's his orders we follow."
"Yeah! No one wants that old peace-lover in charge anymore," Mittelt adds as she grins, enjoying the stunned looks on Raynare and Kalawarner's faces. "Our side had the fewest loses in the Biblical War, and now we're in the perfect position to take our rightful place as the strongest Faction before the Angels and Devils have a chance to recover. Something with Lord Kokabiel recognizes! Unlike Azazel, who's too busy playing with Sacred Gears to even notice what's going on."
"T-That's treason!" Kalawarner exclaims. She and Raynare knew that Kokabiel was the one giving them orders, but they had always assumed that Azazel had been in the loop on their missions' parameters.
Now though, it was all starting to make sense.
"HAH! The only traitors here are you two; for not only failing your mission, but also bringing the target to our base." Dohnaseek replies, finally turning his attention to me as he and Mittelt glare in my direction.

The glare barely changes on Dohnaseek's face, but Mittelt's drops to a slight frown. "Sorry about this cutie, but you can't be allowed to live now that you know too much." She apologizes, creating a golden Light Spear in her hand. "Don't worry. Unlike the last guy, I'll make this one painless for you."
Lifting her arm up, Mittelt throws it directly at my chest before anyone else can say anything.
It was a decent throw, the Light Spear aimed perfectly for my heart and with a speed faster than any normal human could react to. But unfortunately for her, not only am I 9 Levels above her, I've also been fighting in Dungeons for the last several days while she hasn't likely seen any real action in years.
Summoning a Holy Sword with [Blade Blacksmith], I casually swipe at the spear before it can hit me, knocking it away and causing it to fly off to the side where it stabs into the ground.
Seeing the Fallen's stunned looks, I smirk. "Sorry, but that's not going to work on me." Before they can say anything, I cast [Oni: Touki], causing a golden aura to surround my body as my tattoos flare underneath my black kimono.
The aura of power around me wouldn't even be a blink in the eye to the stronger people in the DxD Universe, but against weaker Fallen? It does more than enough.

"W-What the fuck?!" Dohnaseek exclaims, a flicker of fear in his eyes at the casual deflection. His eyes taking in the golden glow of the sword in my hand before a light-bulb goes off in his head. "That's the Blade Blacksmith, isn't it?"
Trying to shake off his fear with laughter, he starts chuckling. "You almost had me worried there for a second, fucker. Thought you might have had a Longinus, but it's just another weak Common one like all the others."
As he creates his own Light Spear in hand, he gives me a bloodthirsty grin. "Which means you're not as tough as you want us to think you are!" Two coal-black wings shoot out of his back as he launches himself at me, his hand outstretched with the Light Spear extended, trying to skewer me in a single move.
His wings actually give him a boost in speed that might have been enough to hit me, had I not already cast [Oni: Touki].
And as I dodge the attack by moving to the left, I bring my Holy Sword up to swing down at him, forcing him to throw his body out of the way. Before I can press the advantage, another Light Spear streaks towards me and barely misses my head.
Glancing to the side, I see Mittelt trying to throw another spear at me before Raynare and Kalawarner step in her way.
Seeing the girls are having their own fight, I focus my attention back on Dohnaseek, who's already recovered and coming at me again as I slowly direct our fight away from the others'. This time, he's got a slightly larger Light Spear in his hand, which shatters the blade of my Holy Sword when I try to block it. "HAH! I knew you were weak; that Sacred Gear can't save you now!"
Maybe not, but even without it I'm not defenseless.
Ducking under another stab, I jab my right fist into his unprotected gut, the touki coating it causes the hit deal a ton of damage. While he's not exactly sent flying away, the hit does cause him to hunch over my fist as spit comes out of his mouth.
Pressing the advantage, I swing my left fist in a hook that connects with his face and knocks him to the side. Summoning another Holy Sword, I bring it down on him before he has a chance to recover.
"AAAHHHH!"
-Mittelt -
"I can't believe you two cowards finally turned traitor." Mittelt scowled, creating a Light Spear in her hand as Raynare and Kalawarner did the same. "At least this gives me the chance to finally be rid of you both for good."
Glancing at each other, Raynare tried to get through to her and stop the fight before it happened. "Don't do this Mittelt. Please! We both know you're not as strong as me, and against two of us you'll undoubtably lose."
Instead of backing down like she hoped, Mittelt became even angrier.
"You'd like to think that wouldn't you!" Mittelt spat with a vile glare in her eyes. "You always looked down on me for not being as tall or a busty as the two of you. Well guess what! Those massive udders won't save you from me!" Releasing her coal-black wings, she shot towards them like a bullet; her mind filled with nothing but a desire to impale them both.
Recognizing that words were now useless, Raynare threw her Light Spear at Mittelt, forcing the blonde to dodge where she was met with another spear curtesy of Kalawarner.
"AH!" Mittelt yelled, clutching her side where Kalawarner's spear had pierced through a portion of her hip. "BITCH!" Lashing out, Mittelt threw the spear in her hand at Raynare while shooting towards Kalawarner.
Dodging the poorly-thrown spear, Raynare flew to Kalawarner's side before Mittelt could reach her, the two lovers calling on their years of teamwork together to fend off the angry loli's attacks. Together, they quickly began to notice openings in her guard and left multiple cuts and puncture wounds that -while barely noticeable by themselves- started accumulating rapidly.
Soon, the wounds finally began to take a tool on the obviously out-matched blonde, and her guard eventually failed as Raynare's spear came down towards her open back. With no energy left to dodge, Mittelt screamed as the golden spear pierced through her abdomen, the front end sticking out of her stomach and tearing through her gothic-lolita attire.
Watching as Mittelt fell to her knees in agony as she stared at the blood-stained spear sticking through her stomach, Raynare moved around her to stand in front of her downed form with Kalawarner. "You knew this was going to happen, Mittelt. Maybe if you fought us alone there might have been a chance, but not when we were together."
"I did." Raynare heard her mutter, watching as a small trail of blood leaked out of her mouth. "But I had to try…"
"Why?" She pressed.
"Because…" Came the whispered response, the blonde's voice growing fainter with each word. "Lord Kokabiel promised we could go home."
Stunned, Raynare and Kalawarner watched silently as the light faded from her eyes; the hands clasping the bloodied Light Spear falling to her sides. Thoughts raced through their heads as they stared at her unmoving form, realizing in that moment they'd just killed one of their sisters.

"AAAHHHH!"
The silence following Mittelt's death was shattered by a male's agonizing scream from an area close to them. The voice sounding exactly like Dohnaseek's, but with a pain and fear in it that they had never heard before coming from a usually arrogant and proud man.
With nothing more than a look, Raynare and Kalawarner spread their wings and flew with haste towards the direction they heard the scream originate from. Whether that was to save Dohnaseek's life, or to be there in his final moments, neither of them knew.

Author Notes:
And that's Chapter 9!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to you all! It's been a wild ride recently, and I haven't had much time -or desire- to sit down and type out some more chapters. But hopefully I can start getting some more written over the next week or so.
Hope you all are still liking it so far! Thanks for checking out my story.
