Chapter 7 - The Girl with the White Eyes

After leaving Granny Cat's shop, Naruto headed toward Konoha's main street.

Honestly, he hated that place more than anywhere in the village. The sheer volume of malice aimed at him from every direction was enough to make anyone sick.

But unfortunately, it was the only way to reach his training grounds.

> "Since you won't have your training gear until tomorrow, I'll teach you something new today," Kakarot's voice rang in Naruto's mind.

> "Something new?" Naruto perked up.

> Could it be? Is it finally happening?! The legendary Kamehameha?! No more spinning chakra balls—just straight-up blast beams!

> "I'm going to teach you something called ki. I learned it from Earth's Guardian."

> "Ki?"

In the Dragon Ball universe, gods existed. Every planet theoretically had its own guardian. Above them were the four Kaiō who governed each quadrant of the galaxy. Above them was the Grand Kai, and beyond that—the Kaiōshin (Supreme Kai) and the fearsome Gods of Destruction.

There were also King Yemma, Angel attendants, and even the Demon Realm, entirely separate from the living world.

Ki was something most intelligent species across the universe could tap into. But no one used it more skillfully than Earth's martial artists and gods.

They had even turned it into art.

Even the Kamehameha Naruto had been dreaming about?

That was just one application of ki.

Every energy blast, every flight trick, every transformation in the Dragon Ball world—all came from ki.

It was, essentially, their version of chakra.

Mastering it meant unlocking…

> Flight.

A technique that would make Newton turn in his grave—allowing the user to soar through the skies freely, unhindered by gravity.

In the Naruto world, most battles happened on the ground. Actual flight was a rare, god-tier skill.

And Naruto wanted it badly.

> "You're still far from having a proper foundation," Kakarot muttered, arms crossed, scowling behind the seal gate. "But I guess you're ready to start."

> Thanks, but I'm not a Saiyan! You guys train in like, 100x gravity death rooms! You basically cheat for a living!

Naruto grumbled internally.

By now, his physical condition already matched—or even surpassed—Chūnin Exam-era Rock Lee.

And he was still just a kid.

> "Then let's get started," Naruto grinned. The thought of learning ki had his heart racing. Just the Turtle School's basics had made him grow insanely fast—if he could unlock ki…

> This is going to be good.

Ignoring the looks of hatred and whispers surrounding him, Naruto jogged through the village until he reached the edge of the main street.

Then—

> "Hm?"

A commotion caught his attention.

He looked over… and his smile curled slightly.

---

A few tall kids had surrounded a small girl in white.

Naruto usually minded his own business. But this time, he couldn't ignore it.

> This is a fated meeting.

> "I-I'm sorry, please let me through," the girl said politely. Her skin was porcelain-white, her cheeks soft and pink, her features delicate—like a doll from a fairy tale.

But the boys didn't see it that way.

One chubby brat shoved her hard. Caught off-guard, she fell to the ground—mud splashing everywhere, staining her white clothes.

The boy pointed and laughed.

> "Haha! Look at her eyes—they're white!"

> "She looks like a freak!"

> "A monster with no eyes!"

The group jeered and began closing in, like a pack of wild animals sensing blood.

The girl's pale eyes welled with tears. She looked like a frightened kitten, small and helpless.

But her weakness only made the boys more aggressive.

> "Haha! Doesn't she look like that thing?"

> "Maybe she's a monster too!"

> "Let's mess up her face! I hate doll-looking weirdos!"

No one stepped in.

The villagers nearby watched with cold indifference. Not one adult moved.

It wasn't their problem.

The insults turned into threats. One boy picked up a rock and approached.

The girl froze in fear, eyes wide and full of silent tears.

Children are pure?

> Yeah, sure.

> Their cruelty is the most pure form of evil. No excuses. No layers. Just raw, unfiltered malice.

> And in this world, kids grow up even faster.

The rock was raised—aimed right at her face.

The girl squeezed her eyes shut—

And suddenly—

SLAM!

A figure dropped from above and kicked the boy holding the rock.

The stone flew into the air—then came down and smacked the same boy in the head, drawing a thin line of blood.

> "WAAAHHHH!" the kid burst into tears.

> "I-It's him!" the others screamed. "It's the monster!"

> "He's gonna eat us!"

> "Run! B-Bakuto's gonna die!"

They turned and fled, screaming.

---

Naruto bent down and offered a hand.

> "You okay?"

The girl's face was flushed red like a crab, but she nodded.

> "You could've handled them, couldn't you?" Naruto asked gently.

Her name was Hyūga Hinata—and in the "original story," she would one day become his wife.

A gentle, strong soul.

> "F-Father said… strength is to protect people… not to hurt them…" she mumbled, barely audible.

Naruto could hear her only thanks to his freakishly sharp senses.

He smiled and placed a hand on her head.

> "You're a sweet kid. But some people… only respond to force."

Hinata's entire face turned red.

Then—

> Steam? Was that steam?

Adorable overload.

---

Unfortunately, the moment was cut short by gossiping whispers growing louder nearby.

The villagers were pointing.

And the malice in the air exploded—so thick Naruto could almost touch it.

> Here we go again...
