Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Diagnosing the Unseen and the First Treatment

Chen Fan and Wang Gia Huy arrived at the City Central Hospital. As a powerful tycoon, Wang Gia Huy's influence was evident. They bypassed all queues and were immediately escorted to the VIP ward, where a team of nervous doctors and nurses attended to a young woman hooked up to an array of medical machines.

The room was solemn, filled with the soft beeping of monitors. On the bed lay Wang Linhai, a beautiful young woman, pale and still. Her face was serene, but the faint, restless fluctuations in her spiritual qi, visible only to Chen Fan, told a different story.

Wang Gia Huy's eyes were red-rimmed as he looked at his daughter. "Linhai... Mr. Chen, this is her. Please... please save her."

Chen Fan nodded. He dismissed the medical staff with a polite but firm gesture. "Please give us some space. I need to conduct my examination in private."

The doctors, though hesitant, bowed to Wang Gia Huy's silent command and exited the room, leaving only Chen Fan, Wang Gia Huy, and the two bodyguards, who stood rigidly by the door.

Chen Fan approached the bed. He raised his hand, not touching Wang Linhai, but extending his spiritual energy. His Heavenly Eye Technique activated, allowing him to see beyond the physical, into the delicate network of meridians and spiritual points within her body.

What he saw was alarming.

Her physical injuries from the car accident had mostly healed, thanks to advanced medical care. However, the true problem lay deeper. A powerful, chaotic spiritual energy, remnants of a "Spiritual Qi Shockwave," had impacted her head during the accident. This shockwave, likely caused by a localized, unknown anomaly or a clash between minor cultivators (a rarity in modern society), had severely disrupted her brain's spiritual meridian network. It wasn't physical damage holding her back, but spiritual qi blockage.

Her primary meridian for consciousness was completely clogged, preventing her soul and consciousness from connecting with her body. This was why she was in a coma, unresponsive to external stimuli. Ordinary doctors, focusing only on the physical, would never discover this.

"Ding! Diagnosis complete: Wang Linhai is suffering from a Severe Spiritual Meridian Blockage due to a Spiritual Qi Shockwave. Consciousness is sealed within her Spiritual Sea."

"To cure, Host must use spiritual energy to clear the blockage and re-establish connection to the Spiritual Sea."

"Recommended method: Use Heavenly Dao Decree to inject refined spiritual energy, combined with 'Mid-Grade Healing Art' once acquired, to gently clear the blockages. Caution: Improper application may cause irreversible damage."

Chen Fan mentally noted the System's guidance. The solution was clear, but the execution required immense precision and control. He couldn't risk further damage to her fragile spiritual meridians. He also noted the advice to use Mid-Grade Healing Art, which he hadn't acquired yet. That skill would greatly increase his success rate.

He turned to Wang Gia Huy. "Chairman Wang, her physical body is fine. The problem is with her spiritual network. It's blocked. Her consciousness is trapped."

Wang Gia Huy frowned, clearly not understanding. "Spiritual network? What does that mean, Mr. Chen?"

"It means that modern medicine cannot cure her," Chen Fan stated. "Only through methods beyond your understanding can she be awakened. I need time. And absolute peace."

"Whatever it takes, Mr. Chen," Wang Gia Huy said, his voice firm. "Do what you must."

Chen Fan nodded. He placed his hand gently above Wang Linhai's forehead, careful not to touch. He closed his eyes, focusing his spiritual energy. He circulated the Heavenly Dao Decree, refining a pure stream of spiritual qi. This purified qi, far more potent and malleable than ambient qi, slowly seeped from his palm, entering Wang Linhai's body through the top of her head.

He meticulously guided the spiritual qi, a tiny, almost invisible thread, towards the blocked meridian in her brain. The blockage was like a dense, thorny bramble, refusing to yield. He couldn't force it; he had to gently coax it open.

Sweat beaded on Chen Fan's forehead. This was more taxing than fighting the loan sharks. Every fiber of his being was focused on this delicate task. The spiritual qi clashed with the chaotic remnants within her, a silent, internal struggle.

Wang Gia Huy watched, captivated, as Chen Fan's face grew strained. He couldn't see the spiritual qi, but he could feel the palpable tension in the air.

After what felt like an eternity, but was only about half an hour, Chen Fan felt a minuscule breakthrough. A tiny crack appeared in the spiritual blockage. He carefully pushed more refined spiritual qi through, slowly, painstakingly.

He couldn't clear it all in one go. Doing so would risk shattering her already fragile meridians.

Chen Fan withdrew his hand, panting slightly. He opened his eyes, which were now clearer and more determined.

Wang Gia Huy immediately rushed forward. "Mr. Chen! How is she?"

"I have made initial progress," Chen Fan said, catching his breath. "The blockage is severe, but I've managed to create a tiny opening. It will take time, several sessions. And it will require specific medicinal aids to help her body recover and reinforce the meridians."

He glanced at the time. "I will need to return tomorrow. For now, ensure no one disturbs her, and maintain a quiet environment."

Wang Gia Huy looked at his daughter, then back at Chen Fan, a glimmer of hope in his eyes for the first time in months. "Thank you, Mr. Chen! Thank you! Whatever you need, just ask!"

Chen Fan knew this was only the first step. The Mid-Grade Healing Art would be crucial, and he still needed the Aptitude Opening Pill for his own cultivation. But he had seen a path forward. He would save Wang Linhai, and in doing so, secure the powerful backing of Wang Shi Group.
