Chapter 1 - Lelouch and C.C.

This hatred, forged by blood and oppression, will last forever, and only death can end it.

Perhaps Lelouch already knew his own ending when he embarked on this path of no return.

In order to create a peaceful world for his sister where she can grow up healthily and happily, and also to find out the cause of his mother's death and avenge her, Lelouch, the eleventh prince of the Holy Britannian Empire, embarked on the path of resisting the oppression of the Holy Britannian Empire.

Lelouch transforms into the Dark Lord "Zero" and leads the Black Knights to overcome all obstacles, step by step pushing his father, Charles D. Britannia, the 98th Emperor of the Britannian Empire, into a desperate situation.

Even so, Lelouch, who had fallen into hell several times and climbed out of it, also deeply understood such a truth - the death of one person alone could not end this cycle of resentment, even if that person was the emperor of the Britannian Empire.

There is only one person, and only his death can take away all the resentment, and that person is Lelouch himself, because Lelouch is both the king "Zero" of the resistance army's Black Knights and the eleventh prince of the empire.

In June 2018 of the Imperial Calendar, Lelouch, who learned the truth, killed his parents with his own hands and ascended the throne as the 99th Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire.

On September 25, 2018, the "tyrant" Lelouch was killed by his best friend Suzaku Kururugi's fake Zero, ending the rule of the Britannian Empire. The world finally ushered in a long-awaited period of peace.

If you ask Lelouch if he regrets it, the answer is absolutely no doubt that he does not have the slightest regret in his heart, because he has already made up his mind to pay the price. If you must say, he does have a few regrets in his heart, some of which are irreversible, while others still have hope of redemption...

The pain in his head was unbearable, which made Lelouch's usually sharp mind become extremely dull. He vaguely remembered that he seemed to have died, died under the sword of his best friend Kururugi Suzaku. What was going on now?

Lelouch tried hard to open his eyes. Even such a simple action seemed to exhaust his strength. You know, he, the Dark Lord Lelouch, has the same physical strength as a ten-year-old child. It was really difficult for him to survive after being pierced by a sword.

The ceiling was strange, the sun shone through the window onto the white walls, and on the bedside table stood an exquisite vase with a few branches of lilac in it.

Although the environment in front of him was extremely unfamiliar, Lelouch was not panicked at all, because every place here, especially the bed, was filled with familiar smells.

"CC, you are here."

CC, written as CC and pronounced as ctwo, is the woman who once gave Lelouch the ability called geass.

Lelouch screamed and lay motionless on the bed. Not long after, a "girl" wearing white pajamas, with long green hair and a pair of golden eyes walked into the room. The girl was holding a box of pizza in her hand.

"Hey, Lord Lelouch, you're awake."

"CC, what's going on? Am I dead?"

"Ah, Lelouch, the first thing you said when you saw me wasn't 'I thought I'd never see you again'. Lelouch, you've changed."

"Stop it, CC."

After CC's interruption, Lelouch suddenly didn't want to ask any more questions. It was obvious that he was still alive and in no danger. And based on CC's performance, it was within her expectations that he didn't die. Lelouch felt that he had guessed the truth.

"It's the code, right? I gained the same ability as you, the curse of immortality."

"You guessed right. You are indeed the one. When you killed your father Charles, the code on him was transferred to you."

Code holders can grant others the ability called geass through contracts. Lelouch was once given geass by CC, and only a perfect geass holder can kill a code holder. Lelouch is a perfect geass holder, so when he killed his father, he obtained his father's code. However, Lelouch still has one last question.

"Why can I use Geass while having Cede? I remember that these two things can't exist at the same time?"

Lelouch had long suspected that he had obtained Charles' code, the mark on his collarbone was proof of that, but he was still able to use Geass, which made him unsure.

"Oh, you should know this, right? There are two codes in the world, one yin and one yang, they complement each other and are indispensable. Mine is male and yours is female. Your geass was obtained through a contract with my code and will not be affected by the other code."

"...I see. That's fine too. I'll have plenty of time to complete our contract."

CC was stunned for a moment after hearing this. To her, Code, the ability that can make people immortal, is no different from a curse. In order to transfer Code, the immortal curse, to others, they must first be trained to become powerful Geass users. After that, as long as Code is forcibly transferred to the successor, she can finally die.

But for the heir, this is so cruel. He has to kill CC, who has nurtured him, with his own hands, and inherit the curse of code.

My dear, there is more to this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. It's even more exciting later!

Therefore, every time when the contractor is about to complete the contract, CC will throw them into his own memory and let the contractor see the truth of the contract.

The contractors who realized that they had been deceived by CC all along, when they came out of CC's memory, all hated CC, abused the woman who wanted to curse them in various ways, and then left her. (? Outrageous)

(ps: This is what the original novel says. It seems that people in the anime think that immortality is an unbearable curse. It is indeed very hard to see the people you love die one after another, but there are definitely many people who yearn for immortality. If CC had ever met such a person, she would have sent him away long ago.)

CC thought that she could protect Lelouch by using this trick. Anyway, she had always used this method to drive these people away one by one. Her code was about to be taken away by Charles, and her death wish was finally going to be fulfilled. The curse of eternal life did not need to be passed on to Lelouch.

But to her surprise, the man this time was different from the previous contractors. He came back.

Lelouch saw through CC's true wish, which was not to die, but to be loved by others.

"Hey! Hey! CC, I'm hungry. You don't want to give a patient like me who just woke up an indigestible pizza, do you?!"

Lelouch's words interrupted CC's thoughts. She looked at the pizza in her hand and fell into deep thought. She really wanted to feed Lelouch pizza. After all, in her eyes, pizza was the most delicious thing in the world. However, what Lelouch said made sense, and she didn't know how to refute it. But she was the queen of CC, and she was the most stubborn.

"You don't need me to tell you. I know this."

After saying that, CC hurriedly walked out, made a bowl of porridge and brought it to Lelouch.

"Mortals, thank this queen."

Lelouch wanted to reach out and take the porridge, but he couldn't do it.

"..."

"I can't help you. Open your mouth."

"Ah~"

Lelouch opened his mouth and waited to be fed.

"Thank me for my kindness."

The sun was shining brightly and the years were peaceful. CC fed Lelouch again and again, and Lelouch sincerely felt that it would be good to continue like this.

"Oh, by the way, does anyone else know that I'm still alive besides you?"

"Didn't your mother teach you not to talk while eating? Oh, sorry."

Lelouch's parents were killed by his own hands. After knowing that his mother had abandoned him, the little tenderness that was left in Lelouch's heart was gone.

"It's okay, just continue."

"Orange-kun is the only one who knows besides me."

Orange is Count Jeremiah. As for why he is called Orange, it is a long story. He was once an enemy of Lelouch, but later swore allegiance to Lelouch and became his right-hand man. He has excellent combat and command abilities and has made great contributions to Lelouch. If Lelouch is the king, then Jeremiah is a general under the king.

"Nunally, Kallen, Suzaku, don't they know either?"

Soon, CC had finished feeding Lelouch the porridge.

"Of course they don't know that Jeremiah helped them with everything from housing to food and clothing... You don't want them to know, do you?"

Lelouch laughed and nodded. He was already very tired, and his only wish now was to live a peaceful life with CC.

How long had it been since I felt the peace of mind I had felt at this moment? Two years? Three years? Or even when I was abandoned by my parents. No, that's not right. These things are no longer important. At this moment, the most important thing is right in front of me.

"CC, I thought I would never see you again, but since I'm still alive, you have to be responsible for me to the end."

——I am the dividing line——

I'm a new person and I'm sorry for your patience.

This book does not include the contents of the theatrical version for the time being, because from many details in the theatrical version, it can be seen that the Code Geass theatrical version and the TV version are obviously not in the same world line, and this book is mainly based on the TV version. There may also be plots from the theatrical version in the future.

This book has a system, but I personally hate the system flow. However, if I want to write about Lelouch as the protagonist and traveling to different worlds, I can only write about the system.

In many system novels, the male protagonists are good at nothing and useless. Once they have the system, they start killing people indiscriminately, relying on the system to reduce their dimensionality and attack, and then there are all kinds of plots that reduce their intelligence. This book still insists that the system only plays a weak guiding role.

In addition, I will not put these things in the main text in the future, but put them in the author's comments. I will try not to be too lame, so feel free to criticize if you have any questions.
