Keira sat down with a sour expression on her face as she watched the hands of the clock move, she was suppose to be having dinner with the man by 6pm and it was around forty five minutes past six.
Keira was completely aware that she was late, in fact she had sat down for the past hour doing nothing but waiting till it was past six. From what she's heard about Liam, she was guessing he was the strict type and there was no way he would be okay with her coming late to dinner. The plan was to annoy him so much that he wouldn't even consider dating her, talk less of marriage.
When she was pleased with the time, she got up and grabbed a coat, she was so happy she didn't dress to fancy today, just a simple knee length body hug dress that had a slit at the side, showing off her milky thighs but not too much to be dimmed inappropriate. It had a V neck cutting that showed off her cleavage. She had paired it with her red stiletto and a red birkin hang bag.
She walked out of her office and took her private elevator that took her straight to the parking lot, two cars were already there waiting for her and she gave a warm smile when she noticed the look on their faces, no doubt her father must have informed all of them about her dinner reservations. She had guessed he gave them instructions to drop her off by six and seeing the troubled look on their faces, no doubt they were going to be in big trouble with her father.
"What did he say to you Tom?" Keira asked as she settled herself in the car, she opened her bag and thought of retouching her make up but then she changed her mind the last second. The plan was to make the worst first impression.
"He said if he finds out that you ditched dinner then he would sure have us back on the streets" Tom spoke while he rubbed his neck but it was obvious that he was affected by Robert Sinclair's words.
"How long before we arrive?" I asked with my gaze fixed outside.
" less than an hour Miss" Tom spoke as he drove smoothly out of the parking lot.
"Take your time Tom, I'm not in a hurry to meet him" I spoke casually with a sigh. I had a feeling that tonight was going to be a long long night.
...….
If there was something I hated most in this world it would be te be kept waiting, my time was precious and no one in their right senses would ever dare to delay me.
I have been sitting in this damn restaurant for almost an hour now and still no sign of the girl, I had arrived here exactly 6pm sharp. Hoping to find the miss waiting for me but she was not here, I could have walked out and gone to do whatever busy shit was in my schedule but this restaurant was owned by the Sy and sure enough, the old man had eyes everywhere and if I were to walk out now, then he would sure make me pay for it somehow and I don't have time for his silly games.
I checked the time on my wristwatch again with displeasure written all over my face, I had never waited this long for anyone my whole life and that was because the people I work with know how important my time is and they wouldn't dare to keep me waiting for a second but yet this girl was making me wait for an hour.
'So much for first impression'
Liam thought to himself while his eyes scanned the restaurant, looking for her. He had done some research before leaving his office and from the pictures he had seen, Keira Sinclair was not someone that could be lost in a crowd, she would always stand out with her striking dark hair and those blue eyes.
She looked nothing like Elena but it was understandable since they were step sisters.
Either way, he had enough dealing with one of the Sinclairs and he could not imagine marrying another one but his father gave him no room for objections. He didn't mind that his marriage was a business transaction but what he didn't want was to have a headache of a wife.
From what he read about her, she had a good reputation, she was the sole heir of the Sinclair global group and she had been active CEO for months now and even though it's only been a short time, the books can confirm that she indeed had made progress.
She would make a good wife and a merge between both their company's would make headlines.
Liam checked the time again, it was almost 7:30 and still no sign of the girl, he was about to call his driver to have them turn the car around when he heard the sound of heels clicking.
He didn't look up to meet her gaze, he had his eyes fixed on her red stilettos as he watched them walk closer to his table, each step making a click sound as they hit the floor.
'Lavender' Liam thought when she took a seat on the chair reserved for her of course, only then did he raise his eyes up to meet her gaze. Striking blue eyes met his with an intense gaze, she had a serious look on her face and if not that she had come in late, he would have taken her to be disciplined but the girl sitting in front of him, Keira Sinclair was a spoiled brat.
"Good evening Mr Sy"
She greeted with a fake smile on her lips.
Liam didn't say a word, he adverted his eyes from her and picked up his menu instead without sparing her another glass.
"You're late" he spoke immediately he dropped his menu, he couldn't help but notice that she had ordered for the most expensive meal on the menu and also the most expensive wine.
'Spoilt brat'
"I had some important things to take care off back at the office"
Was all she said before picking up her cellphone and typing god knows what, the displeasure was clearly written on his face as he watched her. He had waited an hour for her to be here and now that she was, she had her eyes glued to her cellphone, ignoring his presence.
Liam didn't say a word, he wore self control like a second skin, he just watched her silently while he waited for his dinner to arrive, less then ten minutes, the table was packed with dishes and that was when he realized that the girl had ordered everything on the menu.
His blood boiled deep in his veins as he watched them arrange a variety of different dishes on their table, he turned his gaze to her and noticed a satisfied look on her face as she watched the scene unfold.
Even though he was upset, Liam made sure his face stayed the same as he watched everything unfolding in front of him. When the waiter left after unloading so much on their table, Liam stared deep in her eyes as he spoke
"You are going to eat all of that"
It wasn't a questions, it was more of an order, he didn't know what game she was playing but he'll he wasn't going to let her get away with it.
He watched as her pupils dilated after hearing his words but she soon turned her face away and started eating.
Liam didn't say another word , he picked up his cutlery and started cutting into his steak. He had an experience with one of the sinclairs in the past and he should have known to expect worse from this one sitting across him. He just thought that at least one of the daughters was sensible but it was clear now, the Sinclair daughters were all beauty and no god damn brain.
