Chapter 1 - I am the Demon Lord

Woo-Woo-Woo

The sound of sirens was ringing through the eastern streets of Diamond City. The sound of people wailing for help could be heard from a distance.

Why were these people crying?

Well, this world was a dangerous place where every part of this world would constantly fall victim to Alien Hunts.

Alien Hunt was a specific term used to describe the onslaught of human beings at the hands of alien beings.

It was the year 755 After Invasion (AI).

Because of that year, humans faced their ultimate demise.

Out of nine billion human beings, only a million or so survived during the first onslaught.

But humans were amazing creatures. Despite such destruction, they managed to thrive in a worn-torn earth and slowly gathered enough strength to regrow their population.

That being said, they also underestimated the technology and power of the aliens.

It was through the efforts of a certain individual and luck that they managed to survive when those aliens terraformed the Earth.

They increased the gravity of the Earth and attracted several of the asteroids from the Asteroid belt while not disturbing Mars, merged those asteroids with Earth somehow, changed the entire structure of the Earth, and left.

Yeah!

They left after changing the situation of the planet.

As if it were their morning ritual.

Two Hundred Years later, humans understood that the aliens that changed the Earth belonged at the top of the Universe's Food Chain.

But there were many from below, and these aliens wanted to claim Earth for themselves.

Fortunately, after two hundred years, humans had gathered enough manpower and strength to fight off an alien invasion.

This had continued to this day, and Alien Hunt had become almost a normal activity for the people in this world.

That being said, there were many people still suffering from this kind of hunt.

And, these people were ordinary people who couldn't awaken a Superpower or master a powerful technique.

These things had become common, but not all humans had the capability to do so.

That's why when the sirens began ringing, the first thing these people did was to call the 'Superheroes Association'.

A group of legalized superheroes who saved people from all around the world from these Alien Hunts.

"Aaaaaa!"

The screams of those people only got louder, but the Superheroes still hadn't arrived yet.

During all of this time, there was a pair of eyes looking at the chaos. He was six feet tall, wearing a black robe covering almost his entire body.

When he saw those aliens hunting these people, he forced himself to calm down.

"No, no, I can't get involved. I must be ruthless enough. I mustn't show pity. That's not who I am anymore."

Although he kept hypnotizing himself with his words, when he saw those aliens killing injured people, he finally couldn't hold back.

"Fuck it! I can't sit here and watch."

Many people were injured while running away from those aliens. And those aliens started targeting the injured ones.

Many of these injured people were children and old people, as middle-aged people mostly didn't fall while running.

He took a deep breath and instantly dashed forward, leaving behind a trail of wind and an afterimage as he appeared in front of those injured people.

Unlike humans, alien bodies came in a variety of shapes, but these aliens seemed to be from the same race.

They were humanoid creatures with green branches all over their bodies and a strange blue head with no hair.

These aliens seemed to be using their branches to penetrate the skin of humans, but before these branches could reach them, a wind trail passed in front of them.

Those branches were instantly split into several pieces, and it was quickly followed by yellow flame, moving towards their bodies.

A powerful shockwave carved a line between humans and those aliens as that young man stopped on the other side.

Slash!

This time, his robe wasn't hiding his face. It was pale and smooth. His pupils were red, and his hair was silver.

The long silver hair waved above his neck as he slowly turned around. Beneath his black robe, he was wearing a black t-shirt and blue pants.

Looking at the humans who were left stunned, he showed a charming yet evil smile and said.

"Don't worry, humans! I am your new ally, the Greatest Demon Lord of the Future. Now that I've solved these guys, you can rest here."

When he spoke, those crying children stopped and stared at him with confusion.

Feeling their confusion, he didn't say anything. He just walked towards the middle while looking at the alien race that was trying to extinguish his flames.

Since they were similar to trees on Earth, they were also weak against fire.

"Wow! You can extinguish my flames of Chaos. Then again, my Flame is only level one, so it makes sense."

He raised his hand and touched his chin, watching these aliens.

"Hmm! I can't let you do that, though. After all, only after killing you can I get what I need."

[First Stage- Burning Sun]

Palm!

Unlike before, he conjured a mini fireball that was the size of his palm. But unlike a normal fireball, this looked very much like the sun, with intense heat and light coming off of it.

"Karakuchu! Karakuchu!"

Those aliens started screaming when they saw the fireball. They immediately turned around and raised their butt towards him.

This only irritated the young Demon Lord, who could understand what they were saying.

Despite the understanding, he couldn't accept a bunch of aliens showing their butt towards him.

Was that even their butt?

Could it be something else?

He didn't know. Nor did he want to know.

He just shoved the fireball towards those aliens, and it evaporated them instantaneously, leaving nothing but a large crater.

There was no explosion, no shockwave, just pure destruction. Even the part of the ground was shaved off by the power of those flames.

"Sure enough! No matter how many times I try, the power of the sun is only strongest when it is in my hand instead of my sword. Sigh!"

The young Demon Lord heavily muttered and turned around.

At this moment, several strange-looking white ghostly figures entered his body from behind.

When that happened, his pupils glowed red intensely for a split second. But that split second was enough to scare these people.

After all, they had been living on the edge of life and death for years. They were quite aware of the deadly pressure and aura.

"Wow! I was wondering why you haven't left. You guys are seriously injured."

The Young Demon Lord looked quite surprised, but that was only a show on his face.

In fact, he knew they were seriously injured. Originally, he was going to wait until they died to get their souls.

After all, he was a Demon Lord.

But as a previous human and only three-year-old Demon Lord, he couldn't just sit back and watch these humans die.

Yes, he wasn't a normal Demon Lord. He was a human soul reincarnated into this world and then became a Demon Lord.

That would be a story for another time.

"Since I've solved your problem, I should go. By the way, how can I contact your Superheroes Association?"

He asked. Just when he said that, he noticed a few people rushing towards him.

At this moment, one of the old man's expressions changed, and he asked.

"Aren't you a part of the Superhero Association? Go! Go before they arrive here. Those who use their superpowers without a license will be sent to prison."

"Old Man, I am not sure what you were thinking when you said that, but for the sake of the current situation, I will not charge you for anything."

"But you will be going to prison for illegally using the abilities in the city."

A deep voice came from one of those people as a group of seven walked towards them.

They were wearing different dresses, but everyone had a strange star-shaped badge on their chest.

The one speaking was a middle-aged man wearing bronze armor and large bronze boots.

His footsteps were quite heavy as he walked towards the Young Demon Lord with a strong gaze.

"Huh? Are you talking to me? By the way, my name is Alan. This is the name I gave myself."

Alan introduced himself quite politely, especially for someone of his status.

"Look! I don't care what your name is. I know you couldn't hold back seeing these injured people and saving them from the aliens, but if the rules get broken once, they can be broken twice."

"And, maybe for the worse. So, we must send you to prison. Put your sword down, get to the ground, and hands behind your head."

The middle-aged man spoke with a serious tone.

But when Alan heard that, he froze for a moment before he burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha! Man, you are such a joke. Maybe I didn't introduce myself."

"I am Alan, the Demon Lord of Void."
