Chapter 19 - 19- Graduation

"We will finally graduate today... Do you think we'll pass the exam, Mahoraga?"

Today marks the end of the ninja academy days — which, to be honest, had gotten pretty boring. So yeah, becoming a Genin was a welcome change. Anyways, this line was said by Kushina, and these thoughts were hers too, for me, the ninja academy had been boring from the very start, and the only reason I didn't graduate, was that becoming a genin was equally troublesome.

"Seriously? I can beat the invigilator with both hands tied behind my back. None of the Jonin in Konoha are my opponents, and you think passing an exam would be difficult for me? And you can use the adamantine sealing chains — I believe that's enough to scare the shit out of a Chunin," I shrugged and patted her head. She seemed annoyed by it, but that made her reactions even more fun.

"Ughhh, but aren't you even excited? We're finally becoming Genin!!" Kushina asked again, impatiently.

"What's so exciting about it? Tsuna's still going to be our teacher, and the most we'll be doing is some D-rank missions. So it's really not gonna be all that exciting — well, at least until the Chunin Exams." I explained with a smile.

Frankly, at this point, the only reason I'm even here with my main body and not a clone is because I enjoy the time I spend with Kushina and Tsunade quite a bit. Oh, and there's also Minato.

So, I've been offloading a large part of the heavy lifting to my wood clones — and let me tell you, they're one hell of a hack. Research is developing at a rate I didn't think was even possible. I've organized my clones into specialized research teams, each assigned to a specific field.

The Bloodline Research Team — weak in combat strength, because they don't need it. These guys are cooped up in a lab 24/7.

The Ninjutsu Creation Team — a specialized unit exploring the depths of ninjutsu, with a focus on elemental research. These two are my baseline teams.

Then the Specialized Units:

Genjutsu Research Team: Very important. Since Genjutsu is based on chakra control and manipulation, my Six Eyes are — in some ways — more overpowered than the Sharingan. Sure, they don't provide a natural Genjutsu boost, but they let me weaponize basic Genjutsu on terrifying levels.

Space-Time Research Team: Over a dozen clones dedicated to the most unsolvable jutsu category in this verse. I don't need to explain how important space-time manipulation is, right? By the way, I now possess Gojo Satoru's entire skillset — except for Infinity, which is still under research. But yeah, I've already created space-based attack jutsu. This team also explores Time, because why settle for just one half of space-time?

Yin-Yang Research Unit: A relatively new division I set up a few months ago to dig into Six Paths stuff.

Fuinjutsu Research Unit and Forbidden Jutsu Unit: These guys cover a wide range of topics. At this point, I've created an absurd number of ninjutsu — yes, even a jutsu to make people horny. And that's just one of hundreds of weird ones…

The Combination Unit: Their job is to integrate discoveries from all the above units to create new hybrid jutsu. They haven't been particularly successful — yet — but I've got high hopes for them.

(Also, civilian and tech research are completely separate — what we're talking about here is purely chakra-based.)

I've pretty much hit the peak of what's possible through normal means. Sure, I'll get a little stronger as I age, but without major research breakthroughs, I'm already at the human limit.

Now, I'm entirely dependent on the Bloodline, Space-Time, and Yin-Yang units for actual growth. The rest? They're just accessories. They make me more versatile, but not necessarily stronger. Fuinjutsu might help a bit too, but still not a game-changer.

To go beyond Super Kage level, you need Six Paths tier techniques — like Yin-Yang Release, Six Paths Sage Mode, etc. Which is undergoing research currently.

That's why I've been so carefree lately: there's simply nothing left to do. Ironically, that's made this the most relaxing time of my life.

And now, this graduation exam popped up. Ugh. That means I'll have to do missions too... Sad.

Oh, it started. Udon-sensei is calling everyone one by one.

"Minato Namikaze!"

Among our group — me, Kushina, and Minato — he was first. Not much competition in that sense.

"Perform all three basic jutsu, one by one," came the usual instruction.

Still a bit more difficult than Naruto's generation. Nowadays, everyone had to perform all three basic techniques to pass — not just one like Naruto did.

Minato passed easily, of course. Then Kushina. And finally, me. Same old task, easy as hell.

And with that, a six-year-long, boring journey at the Konoha Ninja Academy ended.

Kind of nostalgic. When I first entered this place, I was Jonin-level — maybe Elite Jonin — and now I'm already at the peak of Super Kage level.

"Everyone, congratulations on most of you passing the test. This time, only six students failed and will repeat the exam next year. As for the rest of you, I will now announce your teams." Udon-sensei called out.

'Team assignments, huh? I know Kushina and I are going under Tsunade, but who'll be the third member…?'

Minato would probably go to Jiraiya — they've been in contact, and Jiraiya seems interested in training him. So I had no clue who'd be on my team.

"Team Seven: Minato Namikaze, Random Female Mob 1, Random Male Mob 1. This team will be led by Jonin Jiraiya."

And there went Minato, along with two nobodies I didn't recognize.

"Team Irrelevant…"

"Another Mob Team…"

"Clan Kids NPC Team…"

And so on. And on. Then it was over.

But wait…

"Huh?! You forgot about us, Sensei?! What about me and Mahoraga??!" Tch, Kushina beat me to it.

"Hmm, you both are a special case. You won't be in a regular team. Instead, you'll both be learning under Jonin Tsunade," Udon-sensei replied.

"...Huh?"

Now that was unexpected…
