Synopsis
Max is a failure. He carries the weight of numerous illnesses, and academics were never his strong suit. His eyes scan the pages, but his mind fails to absorb a single word. He’s not book-smart, but he does possess common sense. He understands sarcasm better than most. He has never been the “good boy,” nor has he ever been a bully. That’s just how his life has always been—somewhere in the middle, undefined, unnoticed. He doesn’t know whether his power was given to him or if it was always a part of him. But with it, he begins to uncover secrets from beyond his world. At first, he doesn’t want to know everything—he’s hesitant. But slowly, curiosity takes over. He wants to know more. He’s not incredibly smart, but he understands one thing clearly: nothing in this world happens without a reason. Maybe he’s lazy. Maybe he just wants an easy life. Yet, deep inside, he dreams. He wants to turn his imagination into reality—just like every person does. Author’s Note: This is my first book—but not my first story. Some parts of it might feel familiar, maybe even inspired by stories you've already read. And honestly, that wouldn’t be wrong. After all, I grew up reading those very stories—I’m a fan of those novels too. Please don’t expect this to be perfect. I’m writing this mostly for myself—about 75% of it is just for fun. If you find it interesting, feel free to read along. If not, no worries. Just one request: Don’t let this story stop. Every time I post here, it’s a piece of my world.

Chapter 1 - The Unknown Flow

One day, Max lay on his bed, eyes closed, lost in thought.

He imagined—what if he had wealth? What if he had powers... supernatural powers?

What if he were the smartest man on Earth like Iron Man?

As these thoughts swirled in his mind, something strange happened. Suddenly, Max found himself in an unknown place that somehow felt familiar, as if it had always been his home.

He had no control over himself no thoughts, no awareness of who he was or where he was.

He was simply following a flow, a force beyond reason. His eyes were locked straight ahead, the world around him a blur.

Out of nowhere, a door appeared in front of him. He walked to it and opened it without hesitation, as though it were the main entry or exit to his own house. As soon as he stepped through it, everything shifted.

It felt like his wings had been clipped he fell, like a bird dropping from the sky.

But just before hitting the ground, he stopped suspended mid-air.

Time slowed.

His heart raced, and he could clearly hear its thumping beat.

And then, still floating, a strange comfort washed over him.

He felt powerful.

Like he could do anything.

Literally anything.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open.

He looked at the clock he had been asleep for five hours.

But that feeling... that powerful feeling... it lingered, fading slowly, like a dream slipping through his fingers.

Then, he noticed something odd.

A scar that was once on his left hand had somehow shifted to his right.

Everything was reversed left became right, right became left.

Confused, he got up and walked toward the mirror.

But when he looked in he saw no reflection.

Only the empty room behind him.

He was certain he had just been lying in that same position moments ago... but now, his reflection was missing.

Nervously, he reached out and touched the mirror.

Instantly, something stood in front of him something that looked like him.

Everything suddenly turned "normal" again, or at least appeared to.

He found himself now standing where his reflection used to be.

Their positions had swapped.

Then, he heard a cracking sound

The mirror was breaking.

But not like glass

It was as if a layer over the mirror was shattering. Something that had been hiding the truth beneath.

His reflection stood there, perfectly still, mirroring his earlier pose.

He reached out again. This time, when he touched it, it felt real—tangible.

The moment they connected, Max felt something. His reflection felt it too.

Suddenly, pain shot through his head.

He closed his eyes and There he was again, suspended mid-air, just like in his dream.

But this time, he was conscious.

He could think.

He could speak.

And the pain was gone.

Then he saw it.

A person falling, just like in his dream.

The figure stopped mid-air right in front of him.

Max realized… it looked like him.

But it wasn't him.

The figure began to glow slowly, and then vanished.

Max was stunned.

"What the hell is going on?" he whispered.

He looked down. There were three glowing dots below him.

Focusing on one, he felt like a drone, able to zoom closer, explore from above. The dot revealed itself to be a planet but not Earth.

It looked like Earth from a satellite view, but he could tell it was something else entirely.

Yet, he couldn't enter. A shield surrounded it.

He tried the second dot Another planet.

Same result And the third? Still no entry.

Each planet was completely different, and yet completely inaccessible.

Then, above him—he saw a door.

A way out.

As he passed through it, he found himself back in his room Breathing heavily.

Alone.

Awake.

But changed.
