A sudden sonic boom split the air.
"Who's there?!"
Vegeta and Raditz immediately turned toward the sound, expressions sharp.
When a familiar figure entered their view, the two young Saiyans dropped to one knee instantly.
"Lord Lynx!"
"Your Majesty!"
"Rise," Lynx replied calmly, his eyes narrowing slightly as they fell on Vegeta.
To think the "troublemaker" Paragus mentioned was none other than Vegeta, the second lead of the original story?
Well, it wasn't too surprising. Among the younger generation, only Vegeta had the potential to go a few rounds with Broly.
Since Lynx had introduced Earth-style training methods from the original timeline, many Saiyans had seen explosive growth in power.
And as the prodigy second only to Goku in the original, Vegeta had benefited greatly from these methods.
Now, his power level had surpassed 20,000, making him—besides Broly—the youngest Saiyan with the potential to break 100,000.
Still, compared to monsters like Lynx and Broly, he was a long way off.
"Vegeta, I came to speak with Broly. You and Raditz can leave for now."
"U-Um… Your Majesty… may I ask a favor?"
Vegeta stepped forward, clearly nervous.
"What is it?"
"Lord Lynx… I heard that Broly lived with you for five years… that he became your disciple.I—I want to become your student too!"
"Oh?"
Lynx raised an eyebrow, genuinely surprised.
Vegeta, the prince of pride, asking to become someone's disciple?
That was... unexpected. And a little satisfying, if he were honest.
To think the eternally prideful tsundere of the original story had been humbled enough to make a request like this?
Smiling faintly, Lynx replied:
"Vegeta, you have great potential. Given time, you'll become a mighty warrior. However…"
"I'm sorry. I can't be your teacher."
"Huh…?"
Disappointment immediately spread across Vegeta's face.
But Lynx's next words brought a new light to his eyes.
"Actually, Broly wasn't my disciple either. The reason he and I became strong… is because of our innate gifts. It's not something you can learn."
"Gifts?" Vegeta blinked in disbelief.
All his life, his father, King Vegeta, had drilled into him that he was a royal-born elite, the most talented among all Saiyans.
And now… Lin Chen was saying that compared to Broly, his talent meant nothing?
As Vegeta stood there, stunned, Lynx added with a chuckle:
"Don't be discouraged. Talent only determines where you start—how fast you grow. With hard work and dedication, there's no reason you can't catch up to Broly."
"Really? I can catch up to Broly? Then what about you, Lord Lynx? Can I catch up to you?"
"Heh… who knows?"
With a smile, Lynx gave the young tsundere a pat on the shoulder, then sent the boys on their way.
Now turning to Broly, Lynx immediately noticed the weariness on his face.
Clearly, what Paragus had said was true.
"Broly. Why don't you come with me to Earth?"
"Earth?"
"Yeah."
It was clear that Saiyan society didn't suit Broly at all.
Having lived five years peacefully on Namek, Broly had grown into a quiet, introspective boy—totally out of sync with the Saiyan obsession for power and combat.
But that was okay. Lynx wasn't worried about him going berserk anymore.
Still, if Broly didn't want to live on Planet Vegeta, Earth might be a better fit.
Especially since Lynx knew someone there who would definitely get along with him.
Not long after, the two appeared in Kami's Lookout, floating high above Earth.
Broly looked around at the vast, serene temple, visibly intrigued.
"Kami!" Lynx called out.
Moments later, Kami and Mr. Popo appeared.
"M-Mr. Lynx?! You again?!"
Seeing Lynx, Kami began to sweat nervously. The pressure this man gave off was terrifying.
Before Lynx could even respond, Broly stared at Kami in surprise.
"A Namekian?!"
"Huh?" Kami blinked. "Kid, do you know what I am?"
"Of course. Aren't you from Namek? Why are you on Earth?"
"N-Namekian? So that's what I am…? I'm a Namekian?!"
For the first time, Kami learned the truth of his origin—and his heart surged with joy.
And so, when Lynx asked if Broly could stay and live at the Lookout, Kami agreed immediately.
With Kami and Mr. Popo watching over him, Lynx no longer had to worry about Broly.
Both of them had gentle, calm personalities, a perfect match for Broly's own quiet nature.
Here, he would surely find peace.
With that taken care of, Lin Chen teleported to West City and resumed his intense training.
Time passed quickly.
In the blink of an eye, over 9 months had gone by.
Ding! Congratulations, Host!
You have completed the mission: Within one year, raise over 50 Saiyans with power levels exceeding 100,000!
Ding! You have completed all three mission choices.
Distributing rewards: 5 vials of S-Cells, 1 Hyperbolic Time Chamber Capsule, and 1 Talent: Basic Martial Arts Prodigy!
Inside a 50x gravity chamber, Lynx had been lying on the floor, fast asleep.
But the moment he heard the system's voice, he bolted upright.
"System, it's done?"
Ding! Verification complete. Rewards have been sent to system inventory. Please check.
With a thought, Lynx opened his system space.
Sure enough, two items had appeared.
The first—five vials of S-Cells.
These cells granted Saiyans the potential to become Super Saiyans. Under normal conditions, only Saiyans who lived in peace and stability could slowly generate these cells over time.
The second—a capsule containing the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Lastly, Lynx's skill list had a new addition:
Talent: Basic Martial Arts Prodigy – Grants a 30% chance to instantly learn a technique just by seeing it used once.
Three rewards in one go.
After a year of effort… it had all been worth it.
