Chapter 1 - The Catalyst

>Each decision carves a mark into the void,

and the void remembers, waiting to bleed it back.

Humans have shown their intelligence through the discovery of many things. We invented some, but mostly we discovered what was already there—sitting, waiting at the front door, whispering to us, "You are late..."

Professor Godred built a machine, calling it an invention that would change human life and allow us to follow someone worthy—someone better than all of us.

He was always curious about life. Kind and open to new ideas, even if he learned something from a child one-tenth his age.

He worked on it alone, and only two people knew what he was doing in that cottage.

"I FOUND IT, FINALLY!"

Those words, full of joy, slipped from his mouth the moment he created The Rest of Soul—a computer that, as he described it, allows humans to communicate with complexities.

You'd probably think the professor was really old when he made the machine. But let me surprise you—he was just 18 when he created it.

What a brilliant mind!

But where is he now?

Is he dead?

Or… is he somewhere, controlling a country?

No one knows where he or his cottage went. He was last seen seven days after the machine's discovery. After that, both he and the place vanished.

[Scene: An old town from the 1900s.

Inside an old restaurant, two people are talking while eating.]

"This conspiracy is kinda cool, man."

"Yeah! I found it quite interesting."

"Raikiri, man—you should come to Sato's birthday celebration."

"Senke, bro, I'd rather do homework than get yelled at for being late," Raikiri said.

"Okay man, do your homework. I'll get bored there then... What a crap!" Senke said, tearing a piece of bread.

"By the way, what do you think about the professor's theory?" Senke asked.

"Well, it seems kinda dumb to me," Raikiri replied.

"No way... it's already 6 PM? Ain't no way!" Senke said, looking at the restaurant clock.

"WAIT—WHAT THE HELL—I'M DEAD NOW! I GOTTA RUN—BYE!"

Raikiri stuffed a whole sandwich in his mouth and jumped off the table.

"God save the noble king, I guess," Senke said, smiling.

---

Raikiri opened the main door like a thief sneaking into a house.

He quietly placed his boots in the cabin and tiptoed toward the stairs leading to the roof.

"THE DRAGON HAS THREE HEADS, BUT YOU SEEM TO BE DEAD, BROTHER!" someone shouted in a murderous tone.

Suddenly, a small girl came running and threw a roundhouse kick at Raikiri.

"AHHHhh! You PIECE OF SH— I mean... Sis," Raikiri groaned, after getting wrecked by the kick.

"You are late, so Mother told me to kick you out of the house," the small girl said, holding a long stick.

"I'm sorry! Let me go, I'll let you play Tekken on my computer, Aria."

"Oh REALLY, poor soul? Okay, I'll let you breathe. Get going!" Aria said, as if doing him a favor.

Raikiri climbed to the rooftop. It was already night, and he loved observing the stars.

He had a deep interest in stars and space.

"Wow... there are so many stars tonight—it's not even cloudy."

He scanned the sky, recognizing constellations. He knew about 90% of all constellations discovered so far.

He spotted Leo, Sagittarius... but then, something strange.

He saw four stars arranged in the shape of a kite, with three stars in the center forming a V shape.

The moment he saw that, everything turned white for an instant—just a white world.

Then it vanished.

"Wait... what was that?"

Suddenly, a foggy image of that star formation flashed in his mind.

"I've seen this before. But where? When? How?"

Raikiri couldn't sleep, his mind restless and confused by what he'd seen in the sky.

He remembered the house had a huge library filled with books from his great-grandfather and grandfather—both known for their wisdom and strength.

He opened the door to that room and turned on the lights.

The room was clean and well-arranged; his mother often read there and maintained the library.

There were books from ancient philosophers and legends of the past.

But he gave up quickly. There weren't just 50 books—there were 50,000, and at least 100 were about stars.

He decided to check just the first five, then go back to bed—it was already late, and he had school the next day.

He picked the first book: The Soul of a vessel But he didn't expect much from it.

He checked the second: Love for Life.

He was already irritated, wondering why books like these were even here.

He checked the third: Killing Mental health.

He was getting bored—none of them felt worth reading.

He checked the fourth: Crimson death.

This one looked interesting—something he'd read in his free time.

Finally, the fifth book: The White Dimension.

As he touched it, a strange cold tingled through his fingers.

He instantly remembered that he saw a sudden whiteness after seeing that structure in the sky

He paused—but only for a moment—then took the book and went back to his room, closing the door behind him.

[Scene shifts: A forest filled with dark oak trees, densely packed.]

In the middle of the forest, there was a strange clearing.

The trees there had no leaves, just long logs—arranged in the exact same shape Raikiri had seen in the sky.

A person in long, flowing white clothes sat on top of one of the three logs in the middle.

"It takes no effort to be reborn here... in the Overworld," he said softly—but the words carried weight.

"Eclipse walk."

He vanished—like mist under sunlight.

A heartbeat later, the forest erupted in flames.

But the structure, untouched, still stood in perfect silence.
