In the dawn of time, when the world was young and unshaped, the Elemental Gods descended from the heavens.
With their boundless power, they forged mountains, rivers, skies, and fire. To preserve harmony, they created six sacred Elemental Orbs—each a vessel of concentrated energy: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, and Shadow.
To guard these orbs, the gods appointed humans—elemental wielders known as the Guardians. Each Guardian bonded with a single element and vowed to protect its orb from corruption. Peace flourished under their stewardship.
Among them rose Aria—a Guardian unlike any before. Gifted with the ability to wield multiple elements, she was considered a miracle, a bridge between powers. Her compassion and strength earned her a place at the center of the Guardian Circle.
But where others saw balance, Aria saw limitation.
Curiosity became hunger. Harmony turned to ambition.
She began to wonder: Why must the elements remain separate? Why not unite them into one perfect force—within herself?
Driven by that desire, Aria reached beyond mortal teachings. She forged a pact with a forgotten shadow—a being of chaos. With dark guidance, she attempted the forbidden: to merge the elemental powers.
But the ritual failed.
A violent surge shattered the Guardian circle. The orbs, once whole, were scattered across the world. Storms ripped the skies. Oceans swallowed kingdoms. Forests burned. Mountains broke.
This devastation became known as the Great Cataclysm.
In grief and anger, the gods withdrew from the mortal realm, severing their influence. The Guardians faded into myth, their lineages hidden in whispers.
But their descendants remained.
And so did the consequences of Aria's fall.
