After the grand vision of the "Sora System" had been announced, the main research lab of Solendel was filled with an atmosphere of excitement and new challenges. The core team of five, with Sora providing information through the room's audio system, began to brainstorm, turning abstract concepts into a tangible blueprint.
Zen stood in the middle of the hologram room, drafting the system's architecture with the knowledge of "formations" he had received from Xu Yianzi. It was a power grid so complex and beautiful it resembled a work of art.
"This is the core of the system," Zen explained. "It will operate using the 'Solen Rune' as its center for processing and reflecting the user's will."
"Incredible..." Dr. Aris murmured, looking at the complex energy schematic. "This design transcends the limits of the physics we know... but theoretically, it's possible."
"What about the Interface?" Karess, who was sitting with his legs crossed, spoke up. "If this is going to be a true 'second consciousness,' the display has to be more advanced than this." He snapped his fingers once, and the hologram changed. "I want it to be like this!"
The image that appeared was a user's perspective, like something out of an RPG... with a health bar, an energy bar, and a status window clearly displaying their Rank and Tier. "Just by looking at someone, we can see their basic information instantly... It'd be super convenient, wouldn't it?"
"And in combat," Zaria added, "we'll need more information than that. I want the system to be able to analyze enemy movements and display 'attack paths' or 'weak points' for us in real-time."
Sora, who was processing all the information, spoke up. "Based on the data everyone has proposed... the creation of such a processing system and interface has a 97.8% theoretical possibility. But the most significant problem right now... is interfacing this system directly with a human body."
Sora's words silenced everyone. They knew this was the greatest hurdle. Zen turned to Zaria. "Zaria... I need help from the specialists on the 'Aurora's Path'... I need the best head of medicine and the best neuroscientist."
Zaria nodded. She left the research lab and returned not long after with two people... one was a middle-aged man who looked calm and reliable, one of his arms a complex mechanical prosthetic. The other was a younger woman whose eyes were filled with a sharp intelligence.
"This is Dr. Enzo, head of our medical division and an expert in cybernetics," Zaria introduced the man. "And this is Dr. Ira, an expert in neuroscience and brain-computer interfaces."
After Zen had explained the entire vision to them, their eyes sparkled with awe and excitement.
"Interfacing a system directly with the brain... it's an immense challenge," Dr. Ira said. "But with the 'Neural Lace' technology we're currently developing, it's possible... We can create a 'bridge' that connects the brainwaves with Sora's core data. But... how can we be sure the user won't lose their own sense of self, with another consciousness in their head at all times?"
Karess, who had been listening quietly, countered, "But if we limit its access, its combat analysis capabilities will be reduced." He projected a simulation of the HUD he had designed. "I need it to be able to read the user's 'instincts' to process an enemy's movements in advance. If we build a wall between the user and Sora... it's no different from a common assistance program."
"But accessing instincts is basically mind-reading!" Dr. Enzo retorted. "It's a violation of privacy at the deepest level. Are we really going to create such a technology? What if one day Sora malfunctions and reads someone's deepest secret? How severe would the consequences be?"
The debate, filled with principles and reason, raged on, until Zen raised a hand to end the conflict.
"Everyone is right," he said calmly. "It is both dangerous and necessary... so we must find a balance." He looked at Sora, floating in the center of the room. "Sora... you are a living being with a mind... you are not a tool. The connection between you and a user must therefore be based on 'trust'... not force."
"We will create a system that 'learns' from each other," Zen continued. "In the beginning, Sora will only have access to basic-level data. But as the user and Sora begin to build 'trust' and 'understanding' with each other... the user can 'authorize' Sora to access deeper levels of information themselves... It is the creation of a 'relationship,' not the installation of a program."
Zen's concept silenced everyone... it was a solution that contained not only scientific principles, but also an understanding of the "heart" of both humans and AI.
Once everyone was in agreement... the collaboration began.
The research lab came alive... Dr. Enzo and Dr. Ira were meticulously designing the "Bio-Core" to be implanted at the temple, with multiple layers of biological safety systems and brainwave protocols... Zaria and Dr. Aris were calculating the nano-level power delivery to make it as stable as possible... Karess was designing a beautiful and user-friendly interface... and Zen... he was working directly with Sora... to create the "operating system of the soul" that would become the foundation for everything.
Time passed quickly... Finally... at the center of the research lab, on a sterile pedestal, lay a small object that looked simple yet was impossibly complex... the first prototype of the Bio-Core... "Sora System v1.0."
"Theoretically perfect... and the hardware is ready..." Dr. Aris said, his voice trembling slightly.
Lina looked at the small object and swallowed. "But... who will be brave enough... to be the first to install a 'second soul' into their own head?"
