Chapter 9 - Day 4

Day 4 in Another World

Inside the hut, the woman was cooking breakfast while her husband played with the baby—who, yes, happens to be me.

And I was currently observing my father's utterly foolish attempts to make me laugh.

Honestly, if I were in his place, I'd probably be drawing circles in a corner out of shame by now.

But here he was, acting like a clown.

Not that it's bad, just… a little hard to watch.

They say: If you're not the one embarrassed, someone else will be embarrassed for you.

That "someone" is definitely me right now.

On my right side, the scent of spices filled the air as my mother cooked.

The aroma of cabbage sizzling in oil, the fragrance of toasted spices, the warm smell of freshly made roti—it was all making me drool.

It's been four whole days and I've had nothing but goat milk.

Goat milk for breakfast, goat milk for lunch, goat milk for dinner.

Oh, when will I grow up and eat actual food?

And on my left?

My chuunibyou brother, doing what he does best: performing.

He adjusted a strip of cloth wrapped around his arm—where did he even get that bandage-looking thing?

"At last," he declared, voice dramatic, "the accursed Emperor of the Thousand Eyes dares to appear."

Imaginary lightning cracked behind him.

"My sealed right hand trembles... Calm yourself, Dark Vortex Fang. Tonight, we awaken."

Then he took a piece of chalk and drew a messy circle on the floor.

"Even if the world calls me mad... I alone see the truth!"

Meera glanced over while flipping a roti:

"Rohan, please stop wasting the chalk."

Unbothered, he stepped forward, the shadows (in his imagination) clinging to his boots.

"So, you've gathered your gaze to strike me down? Fools. Each eye only reflects your ignorance."

He raised his hand toward the sky and whispered,

"Phase Two: Eclipse Protocol."

Right on cue, the wind blew outside.

"Let them laugh. I walk the edge of worlds… and tonight, the veil shatters."

I just stared at him, deadpan.

"Yup. Confirmed. My brother is a full-blown chuuni. May the gods protect us all."

But seriously… where did he even learn that word in the first place?

Don't tell me there are other chuunis in the village secretly passing this nonsense to children. And why hasn't anyone stopped them yet?

The imaginary Emperor of Evil Eyes glared, the air around him warping with ominous tension.

"You wield theatrics," the Emperor boomed. "I wield reality."

But the chuuni only laughed—dark, proud, and unnecessarily dramatic.

"Reality? I transcended that back in Chapter Seven!"

With a snap of his fingers, glowing wings of obsidian fire exploded behind him.

"Final Arcana: Void Seraph Ascension!"

…He knows too much. We're going to have to shut him down one day.

Just kidding. I don't care what the foolish mortals do. This venerable being shall show mercy—for now—and allow this wild performer to live… for daring to entertain the Supreme Me.

"Breakfast's ready!"

The sweetest voice in the world reached my ears, carrying the sweetest words imaginable.

"Ready!" ×3

"Wowu," I added in support.

Probably around 9:30 a.m. or so.

Everyone had already gone back to their morning routine—playing, working, or pretending to fight imaginary demon lords—and I was still lying on the charpai, deep in thought.

I was thinking… about the overwhelming sealed power hidden in my right hand.

Wait—did I just say that out loud?

…Oh no.

I've been infected by Rohan.

I knew it. I knew he shouldn't be allowed to stay in this house!

Just kidding again.

Let's get back to something important—like testing my actual abilities.

I can't move freely yet thanks to this adorable baby-sized body, which limits me in every possible way. And I obviously can't ask anyone for help.

So, I need to create something.

Something small, something clever.

Something that can act as my eyes in the outside world while I lie here pretending to sleep.

…And yes, it only took me three whole days to come up with this idea.

The idea was simple—create a bird that could fly, connect directly to my mind, and allow me to see whatever it sees in real time.

So, let's break it down:

Mind-Link Control: A mental tether that allows full control from anywhere.

Real-Time Vision Transmission: Whatever the bird sees gets displayed directly in my mind, like a magical livestream.

Energy System: Converts Sakti energy into fuel, either temporary or permanent. While I rest, it passively absorbs ambient energy from the environment.

Energy Sync: It syncs perfectly with my own energy signature, making it feel like an extension of myself.

Flight Speed: Capable of flying at speeds up to 300 km/h.

Mobility Options: Can glide silently or warp short distances.

Stealth Feature: Disguises itself to appear just like an ordinary bird or completely blend in the environment.

Perfect. The blueprint was ready.

Now, all I had to do was create it.

I raised my tiny baby hand, focused my thoughts, and released an invisible force that pulsed silently into the air. At first, a small, slimy sphere formed. Slowly, it began to reshape—morphing with smooth grace into the form of a bird.

Its upper body shimmered with an elegant blend of light, dark, and Persian blue, making it strangely beautiful. The lower feathers were pure white, and the tips of the wings matched the upper pattern. Its tail, oddly enough, resembled a soft, flowing fish fin.

It's a swallow, ofcourse.

Once the formation was complete, it landed gently beside my head.

No heartbeat. No breath. It didn't feel alive—more like a lifelike doll without a soul. And yet… I could feel the link. A pulse of shared connection between us.

I gave it a silent command: Fly.

In response, it stretched its wings slowly, then flapped—once, twice—and lifted smoothly into the air. Higher and higher it went, circling above me.

"It worked!" I cheered internally, raising a tiny victory fist in celebration.

Next: the vision test.

I reached for the link in my mind and—snap—my perspective shifted. I could see myself from above: a small baby wrapped in white cloth, lying lazily on a charpai.

Success.

With a satisfied smile, I guided the bird to land on the thatched rooftop of our hut for now. When night falls and everyone's asleep, I'll begin the next phase of my plan.

World domination.

Of food, of course.

All the food in the world.

One cookie at a time.
