Standing nearby, Golden Crocodile Douluo also nodded in agreement.
"That's right, Xiaoxi. As long as you continue cultivating diligently, reaching the rank of Titled Douluo shouldn't be a problem."
"In the entire Spirit Hall, the only one with higher innate soul power than you is the Young Lord."
His tone carried a hint of admiration.
After all, Qian Renxue's innate level 20 soul power came from a divine gift — level 10 soul power granted by a god. Such a phenomenon might not appear even once in ten thousand years.
Normally, the ceiling for innate soul power in this world is level 10 — known as innate full soul power.
"Haha, old brother Golden Crocodile, sometimes I really envy you. No pressure at all."
"Now look at me — the juniors in my family either awaken with divine-level soul power or innate full soul power. As an elder, the pressure on me is enormous."
Qian Daoliu chuckled as he lifted Ye Xi into his arms.
Hearing this, Golden Crocodile's expression darkened slightly. No matter how he looked at it, Qian Daoliu was blatantly showing off.
He looked like he wanted to say something, but the words died in his throat. Why? Because his own juniors weren't up to par.
The most promising one in his family only had innate level 8 soul power — hardly worth mentioning.
"Xiaoxi, tell Grandpa: what's your Martial Soul called? What's its attribute?"
"I'll help you plan your soul rings and future development path."
Qian Daoliu gently stroked Ye Xi's hair, his tone warm and cheerful.
"Grandpa, my Martial Soul is called the Angel of Slaughter."
"It has only one attribute: pure, ultimate slaughter."
Ye Xi looked directly into Qian Daoliu's eyes, her voice calm and composed.
"Angel of Slaughter... ultimate slaughter."
Qian Daoliu mulled over her words before replying, "Since your Martial Soul has a singular attribute, your path should be to pursue that attribute to its limit. Your development should be as a power-type attacker."
"For the first two soul rings, choose skills that enhance your own abilities. Later, add highly offensive soul skills."
Ye Xi listened carefully to his advice, thought it over, and nodded lightly.
"Understood. I'll listen to you, Grandpa."
A bright smile appeared on her face — she looked genuinely happy.
"Good. Tonight, focus on cultivating. Tomorrow, I'll take you to the Star Dou Forest to acquire your first soul ring."
Qian Daoliu spoke gently as he set Ye Xi down.
"Okay, Grandpa. I'll go back to training now."
With that, Ye Xi walked back to her room.
Qian Daoliu watched her leave, a warm and satisfied smile lingering on his face.
Clearly, he was in a great mood — he might even eat an extra bowl or two at dinner.
"Brother, should we send word to Xue'er?"
"After all, the two sisters haven't even met yet."
Golden Crocodile walked up to Qian Daoliu and asked quietly.
"Yes, send her a message."
"Xiaoxi has great talent. If we nurture her well, she could become Xue'er's right-hand support in the future."
Qian Daoliu nodded, his eyes thoughtful.
"Indeed. That child has excellent combat instincts too. I taught her some techniques once — she picked them up incredibly fast."
Golden Crocodile nodded in full agreement.
"I'm honestly looking forward to the day Xiaoxi and Xue'er meet."
Qian Daoliu smiled, then stood up and returned to his residence.
Watching him leave, Golden Crocodile paused for a moment, then also turned and left for his own quarters.
Elsewhere—
Ye Xi sat cross-legged on her bed, flipping through the Herbal Codex of Immortal Herbs in her hands.
Thanks to her photographic memory, she memorized information incredibly fast.
To avoid mistakes later on, she went through the book several times, making sure she could recite it from memory before finally putting it away, ready to return to Yue Guan.
She then entered a meditative state and began cultivating.
The next morning—
Knock knock knock.
A maid's voice accompanied the knock at the door.
"Second Miss, are you awake?"
Ye Xi slowly opened her eyes, emerging from meditation.
"Come in."
She stretched slightly and climbed off the bed.
The maid entered with toiletries and helped her get ready.
After freshening up, Ye Xi stepped outside and walked toward a nearby pavilion.
When she arrived, she saw Qian Daoliu already seated calmly inside, with a stone table in front of him laid out with a variety of exquisite dishes.
"Xiaoxi, come eat."
"After breakfast, Grandpa will take you to the Star Dou Forest to help you get a suitable soul ring."
Qian Daoliu waved her over with a smile.
"Okay, Grandpa."
Ye Xi cheerfully took a seat and began tasting the delicious food in front of her.
"Grandpa, where's Grandpa Golden Crocodile today?"
Ye Xi asked curiously, noticing his absence. Normally, the two elders were inseparable.
"Your Golden Crocodile Grandpa had something to attend to. He'll be back in a few days."
Qian Daoliu replied casually.
Ye Xi nodded and continued eating.
After breakfast, she followed Qian Daoliu as they made their way to the Hall of the Supreme Pontiff.
Hall of the Supreme Pontiff
In the solemn and majestic great hall, Bibi Dong sat on the main throne, her eyes filled with quiet contemplation.
Standing beside her was her disciple, Hu Liena.
"It seems the second young lady of the Worship Hall has awakened her Martial Soul — and it's innate full soul power."
Bibi Dong spoke thoughtfully, a faint smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
"Teacher, how do you know that?"
Hu Liena asked, curiosity sparkling in her eyes.
"The Grand Worshiper rarely leaves the Worship Hall — and never the city unless something major happens."
"Now that he's preparing a carriage, it's clear the girl awakened her Martial Soul. He's likely taking her to obtain a soul ring."
Bibi Dong crossed her legs and rested her chin on her hand, her eyes calmly watching a particular direction.
Hu Liena nodded slowly, seemingly lost in thought, and didn't ask further.
"Your Holiness."
The slightly effeminate voice of Yue Guan and the raspy tone of Gui Mei echoed through the hall as the two arrived.
Bibi Dong merely nodded without speaking.
Yue Guan and Gui Mei respectfully took their places on either side of the throne.
Not long after, Qian Daoliu entered the hall with Ye Xi.
He glanced at Bibi Dong — their eyes met midair, but neither said a word.
"Elder Ju, I've finished reading the Herbal Codex."
Ye Xi took out the Herbal Codex of Immortal Herbs and handed it back to Yue Guan.
