Chapter 51: Sneaking Out of the Demon Clan

When Lin Ze spoke, Yue Ye's eyes flickered subconsciously.

But she quickly reminded herself—she was a few years older than Lin Ze. How could she let a little brat tease her like that?

It was as if she'd made up her mind. Yue Ye reached out, lifted Lin Ze's chin, and said with a playful smile:

> "How about this—promise me one thing, and I'll let you eat your fill today?"

> "Really?"

> "You just have to say whether you agree or not…"

Seeing Lin Ze nod, Yue Ye looked at his cold expression for a moment, then swallowed nervously. Slowly, she leaned in—and kissed him directly under Lin Ze's surprised gaze.

He could feel the seductive aura from Yue Ye flowing rapidly into his own body.

Faced with such overwhelming heat, Lin Ze began to respond.

---

A few minutes later.

Yue Ye gasped as she finally let go of Lin Ze, greedily gulping in fresh air.

The once dignified and composed Yue Ye now looked like a little greedy cat, slightly breathless, her cheeks flushed.

Lin Ze couldn't help but chuckle:

> "Sister Yue, you need to breathe through your nose—then you won't feel so suffocated."

Yue Ye's ears turned bright red.

Being lectured on kissing by someone five or six years younger than her was deeply embarrassing. She tried to maintain her composure and said in a serious tone:

> "I don't need your teaching. Now go find Leng Xiao and the others first—I'll join you shortly."

Lin Ze originally wanted to ask what the favor was, but since Yue Ye had asked him to go out first, he nodded and left with a satisfied look.

After all, he had just been "fed" and was in a good mood.

Yue Ye stared at Lin Ze's retreating back, recalling her impulsive action. Her cheeks grew even rosier.

Then, a thought struck her—her expression subtly shifted.

> "How is that brat so skilled?"

Remembering Lin Ze's earlier remark, Yue Ye's eyes widened.

> Could it be… he's the Love Demon God Xidi in disguise!?

Yue Ye couldn't help imagining some highly inappropriate scenarios between Xidi and Lin Ze.

Realizing where her mind was going, she quickly shook her head.

> "Impossible. Lord Xidi would never do such a thing."

She reached up and touched her still-warm lips. A smile slowly formed.

> "I'd like to see who dares take the one I like away from me."

After adjusting her slightly disheveled clothing, Yue Ye stood up and left the room.

Lin Ze's room had more than one door, and Yue Ye had always entered through a side entrance to avoid being seen by Leng Xiao and the others. She would sneak in, "feed" Lin Ze, then reappear casually in front of everyone.

The demons of the Love Demon Palace all knew she was a friend of Lin Ze's, so they never stopped her.

Besides, only Lin Ze and the maid Xiao Yun lived in this residence.

---

Before long, just as Lin Ze arrived outside, Yue Ye walked in from the main entrance.

Seeing her, Leng Xiao greeted her cheerfully:

> "Sister Yue, you're here!"

> "Yes. I actually came today because I need you and Lin Ze's help."

Leng Xiao blinked.

> "Help?"

Yue Ye glanced around, then sat down across from Lin Ze.

> "Recently, the human race has begun their once-every-five-years Demon Hunting Group Selection Tournament. As a result, customs inspections for caravans have become stricter—Level Six experts are not allowed to accompany caravans through checkpoints."

> "But relations between the humans and demons have grown more tense lately. And now that it's autumn, food shortages are spreading across the provinces. Many demon gangs are attacking caravans along the roads…"

> "I'm short on peak-level fifth-rank combatants, so I was hoping you'd accompany me."

> "The goods we're delivering this time must reach the Holy City of the human race. If I can't gather enough people, the risk will be too great."

Leng Xiao frowned.

> "But Sister Yue… Lin Ze has already broken through to the sixth level. That means he won't be allowed to go. And if Lin Ze isn't going, then I don't want to go either—I want to fight alongside him."

> "It's okay," Yue Ye said confidently. "Lin Ze's special bloodline keeps his identity hidden. Under normal conditions, no one can detect that he's a human-demon hybrid."

> "Plus, he has the ring His Majesty the Demon King gave him. Even if he's discovered by humans, his identity won't be easily exposed."

> "Staaare~"

Leng Xiao squinted suspiciously at Yue Ye, cheeks puffed.

> "Sister Yue, how do you know so much about Lin Ze? I thought you were always busy with the Yue Ye Chamber of Commerce!"

Yue Ye giggled.

> "There's no conflict. Lin Ze and Xiao Yun are both people I have my eye on. And Lin Ze already agreed to join the Yue Ye Chamber of Commerce, right?"

Leng Xiao's eyes widened.

> "When did that happen?"

She turned to Lin Ze with a small pout.

> "Lin Ze, you didn't tell me anything…"

Lin Ze looked slightly embarrassed.

> "That was six years ago, Sister Xiao Xiao. And you never asked."

Leng Xiao was left speechless.

But just then, Xiao Yun interjected:

> "Your Highness Yue Ye… there may be a problem. Lord Xidi specifically said that Young Master Lin Ze is not allowed to enter human territory before reaching the eighth level…"

Yue Ye replied calmly:

> "Don't worry, Xiao Yun. I've already looked into it."

> "Lord Xidi is currently challenging the Tenth Pillar—Lightning Demon God Pal. That Lightning Demon was seriously injured by a titled-level Demon Hunting Group deep within the demon realm and will need at least ten days to half a month to recover."

> "Lord Xidi won't be returning anytime soon—and I've already arranged with him. I'll be in charge of watching Lin Ze for the next month."

> "If we just sneak out for a few days, he won't find out."

Xiao Yun still looked uneasy.

> "But… if Lord Xidi finds out…"

Before she could finish, Yue Ye looked directly at Lin Ze and said:

> "This is the 'condition' we talked about earlier."

Lin Ze immediately understood. This was the favor Yue Ye had mentioned in the room before.

He hesitated for a moment.

> "Sister Yue, about that Demon Hunting Group Selection Tournament you mentioned… what's it all about?"

Yue Ye paused.

> "I don't know the exact details, but from what I understand, the six major human temples each send ten professionals under the age of 20 to the Holy City to participate in the selection."

> "Those selected will form a Demon Hunting Group, and the human race will invest resources into training them—to specifically target our demons."

> "Will the Assassin Temple participate?" Lin Ze asked excitedly.

Everyone was momentarily stunned by his sudden enthusiasm.

But Yue Ye nodded.

That was all Lin Ze needed to hear.

> "Sister Yue, I'll go with you to the human realm."

Xiao Yun opened her mouth to protest, but upon seeing the resolve in Lin Ze's eyes, she closed it again.

Naturally, if Lin Ze was going, Leng Xiao and Xiao Yun would follow.

Yue Ye smiled in satisfaction.

> "In that case, pack your things. We'll set out soon."
