Volume II – Chapter 4
The Awakening of the Seeker's Soul
A calm, peaceful night settled over the private chambers of Princess Long Yuehua.
She wore a flowing dress of deep crimson, soft and elegant as it embraced her slender form.
And on her beautiful face… rested a smile — faint, almost forgotten.
A smile lost ten years ago.
Ever since she learned that the man she had once loved with all her heart had been killed by her own father, Princess Yuehua had not smiled again.
She turned away from her family, sealing her sorrow behind a wall of quiet coldness.
But now — with the birth of her son —
for the first time in years, warmth had returned to her heart.
Though she still couldn't forgive her father,
this tiny child…
had given her life new meaning.
She sat in silence, holding her newborn in her arms.
Xin Linchen, her son, was peaceful.
Pale skin like moonlight, long lashes, and silver-white hair —
he looked like a child born from the light of the moons themselves.
She nursed him gently, then placed a soft kiss on his forehead and laid him in the cradle.
A handmaiden nodded quietly by the door as the princess left the room.
---
But inside the tiny body of Xin Linchen,
something vast… was awakening.
His inner world stretched out like a limitless ocean of light — quiet, endless.
And in the heart of that radiance,
the soul of the Seeker began to stir.
He was like a newborn child…
and yet, like an ancient being who had lived through countless eras.
Before him towered an ancient crimson seal, etched with runes of destruction so old, they tore at space itself.
Beside it — a sword.
A two-meter-long blade, its edge glowing a deep blood-red.
Golden patterns shimmered along its surface like liquid light.
The hilt bore two closed eyes —
not asleep… but waiting.
Suddenly, a figure rose from the sword —
a young girl with long crimson hair and a white flowing robe.
It was Ain, the sword spirit.
She had followed her master through endless battles, across millennia.
Now, she floated joyfully in the air, clapping her hands.
> "Yay! I knew it! Everyone deserves a second chance!
Let's start over, Xin Linchen!"
Xin Linchen — still in the form of a small boy — sighed softly and gazed into the vast light of his inner world.
> "I feel the same…
I've already spoken to the voice that gave me this chance.
Now… all I want…
is to live a simple, human life.
Just like everyone else."
Ain spun in the air, then flew down and hugged him tightly, laughing.
> "Yes! Yes! You've already saved everything, you lit up all the Zagl!
You deserve rest now! Hehe~!"
For the first time in billions of years,
Xin Linchen smiled — gentle, soft.
As if he'd finally recovered something he had long lost.
Ain immediately clung to him again, covering his face in little kisses.
> "Okay, okay!" he laughed.
"You're being way too emotional today. I'm sealing you back now, move aside."
> "Nooo~!" Ain puffed her cheeks and pouted.
> "Then behave."
> "Hmph! You're just too cute, that's why you deserve it!" she said, and playfully pinched his cheeks, sticking out her tongue.
Xin Linchen frowned.
> "Back in the sword."
> "Hey! Hey! Don't be mad, alright, alright!"
She giggled and vanished, returning to the blade.
---
The inner world fell silent once more.
The light shimmered faintly,
like the quiet smile of a soul at peace.
The Seeker had been reborn.
And his journey…
was just beginning.
