___[South Korea]

"Did you feel it?" a large man asked from the comfort of his office chair, his eyes fixed on the faint light seeping through the closed office windows, reflecting the night.

"No," Woo Jinchul replied, his voice tinged with looming concern.

"Not even you, huh," Go Gunhee murmured, leaning back in his seat, his gaze meeting the dark office ceiling.

"Was it that frightening?" Woo Jinchul asked, his eyes sharp with curiosity, unblinking.

"No," Go Gunhee answered, "it was terrifying."

___[Elsewhere in China]

"Zhigang, come back to bed," a woman, nearly naked, whispered, pressing her bare breasts against the muscled back of a naked man.

He sat by a wide-open wooden sliding door, his face beaded with sweat, his expression unreadable.

His eyes were fixed on the sky that spoke of the ever-too-calmness of the night.

"You don't understand," he whispered.

"Then tell me," she urged, her hands brushing his shoulders, her lips kissing his back, moving to his neck and pulling him gently into her embrace.

"Does it scare you?"

Thud!

He pushed her softly, yet his strength proved too much, sending her body back with a faint gasp of pain.

"Sorry," he muttered, frowning as his voice tried to soften, but it proved futile.

'Was it fear?' He knew he was scared—something his pride would never accept.

"Save me some face," he whispered faintly, as she stood from her fall and returned to his embrace, drifting into the slumber to come, warmed by his comfort.

___[Elsewhere in India]

"It was probably a dungeon break," a short, fat man in a turban remarked. "But it surprises me," he continued, "I just checked all the dungeon networks, and no dungeon break occurred—not even an S-rank—Yet your suspicion suggests that's the cause. Is your power truly that amazing?"

The man he addressed raised his eyebrows, puzzled by the words of the short man before him.

"What if it's another ability?" the short man pressed, "Like a prediction—maybe the ability to predict a dungeon break…"

"Nonsense!" the seated man snapped, his voice calm yet sharp and untainted. "Are you saying I am unaware of my own abilities?"

"That was…"

"Keep looking," he commanded.

"Yes, Bachchan," the short man replied, storming out in haste, leaving a man of overwhelming strength cautious, gripped by the fear of the absolute—the fear of the absolute pending.

___[Elsewhere in Brazil]

"So it wasn't a dungeon?" Jonas asked loudly in wonder, his voice calm yet unable to hide its intense curiosity.

"Nope," a woman answered, sitting beside him on the sofa.

She was dark-skinned, her hair styled in neat, white braids.

Her hands moved quickly, typing on a laptop resting on her lap.

After her words, Jonas felt unease creep down his spine.

"What about the others?" he asked, his calm tone now shaken by the possibility of what lay in the unknown.

"Nothing," she replied, "they felt nothing," and Jonas sipped his coffee, his face shifting to a mask—fear so hidden.

___[Elsewhere in America]

A giant's body loomed over the once-abandoned stadium.

His gaze fixed on a distant point that seemed too far away.

He didn't know why—but it had been too long since he felt such a feeling: a heart pounding through his chest, adrenaline urging retreat—it was fear.

Yet, Thomas felt no disgust at weakness; he felt no shame as his spine shivered faintly.

For the thing he saw was too great to ignore—it felt too menacing.

"Do you not see it?" he asked, his confidence unshaken, yet his certainty wavering.

"See what?" Laura asked back, her voice sounding curious.

"The strings of mana," he explained, moving forward.

His eyes refused to believe what they saw: golden strings—far too thick to be ordinary, woven from pure, radiant patterns of golden, glowing light.

As if crafted by paper, they bore strange markings, ever-changing as if still calculating.

The surroundings shimmered, as if the mana had become a new substance.

As Thomas approached, he felt his mana drain slightly, as if the structure's core fed on his own.

Close enough, he saw its form clearly—a flower, a golden flower with shifting, pending patterns.

He grew weaker, nearly too weak—but he pressed on. 'Was it the need to know the unknown?' Was it fear of what would happen if he turned back—Thomas had no 'fucking idea,' yet he smiled, mocking the pressure he wished he could deem too weak.

But then…

BOOM!

A deafening mana wave erupted, pushing his hair and clothes back as the pressure surged.

Glancing back, he saw the wave ripple toward Laura, far enough to cause no worry.

He kept moving, but as he neared, his pace faltered, his struggling feet resisting until they halted.

He leaned forward, fighting to resist being blown away, though it seemed impossible.

BOOM!

Then suddenly, the wave stopped, and the flower of golden-lit patterns vanished, as if it had never existed—a dream seen in day, a 50-foot flower now gone, leaving only wonder…

He was stunned.

Until his gaze fell on a human, Zephyr, lying unaffected, naked, his clothes gone.

"Hehe," Thomas laughed, his gaze fixed on the figure below.

With a swift flick of his finger, Zephyr's body floated, suspended by nothing.

So he moved, As it followed—following Thomas's retreat, leaving the ruined stadium—not wrecked by him, but by the inhuman figure floating there, awaiting unknown destruction.
